[android-developers] Strange issue with camera intent.

2015-12-02 Thread neVardenis nePavardenis
I have written everything about the issue here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34002746/camera-app-works-only-on-some-phones

To summarize app doesn't work with most phones who's default camera is more
than 8mpx.

[android-developers] How can i layout text(get the width and height) from c/c++ and in non-UI thread?

2015-12-02 Thread fei wang
Hi guys,

How can i layout text(get the width and height) from c/c++ and in non-UI
thread?

I have been developing a dynamic layout engine(written in c) which takes
html(css + dom tree) as input and generates a native android view.
The key point of affecting the performance is the must layout process in
java layer(new TextView or Html.from + TextView.setText() +
TextView.measure()) which can't execute on non-UI thread
and can't be done directly from c.

BR,
fay

[android-developers] Bluetooth PAN DNS name to pull from DHCP server or router rather than have the android create its own?

2015-12-02 Thread Rod Kashani

Hey All,

So I have a bluetooth pan on a raspberry pi which gives an ip and Internet
connection to an android, in this case the S6 edge. I am given an ip
address, however I can't communicate with other devices on the network. I
do receive Internet though. It seems the android is assigning itself a dns
hostname, which separates itself from the rest of the network. I could be
wrong, but when laptops connect to the same pan network, they are given the
dhcp information from the router and they can communicate over the network
with the ip's being given to them from the bluetooth access point.

The laptops have a hostname of TP-link_D5DE and the android has
android_9xx

Can the android adopt dhcp hostname info via Bluetooth pan? Can I change
this name? Is it possible without root if so?

I understand there was somewhat of an issue with dhcp "hooks" back in the
day where the bluetooth controller couldn't retrieve this information but I
read that on a forum which was a few years old and also read it was fixed
on newer versions of android.

Thanks!

[android-developers] Refresh token used for inapp purchase API stopped working suddenly

2015-12-02 Thread Manoj Kumar Divakaran
Hi,

We are calling the Google InApp Purchase API using OAuth. We were using a
refresh token since 1 year but suddenly last week it stopped working and no
changes was made to the account. We had to create a new Refresh token to
make this work again?

I am assuming that refresh token never expires and we can use it always?
Has anybody experienced this Issue.

Regards,
Manoj
