[android-developers] The Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement changed

Hi,

   I can't able to access my developer console account due to distribution 
agreement modification.Since my developer console account is not the 
primary one, I can't able to solve this issue.Can anyone assist me what 
should be done for this problem?.

Thank you for your response. Until today I haven`t heard about it. Its 
incredible that there is no public announcement about this. 

As far as I looked into it, there are a lot of problems with IDE and only 
some attributes are supported. Maybe that is the reason why they did not 
publish it :)

[android-developers] Android Marshmallow 6.0.1

Hi my name is Nick.

Today my phone has made update to android 6.0.1 marshmallow (Asus Zenphone 
2 Laser). He has two slot SIM card.
But in wifi option in metod EAP is not two sim. Is just one. And wherever I 
am in the area free wifi zone only for sim 1, i have't internet.
In previous version android it was all automatic.When home he connects to 
router, when work i use mobile internet, on sim 2 when I am in the area 
free wifi zone for another operator (sim1) he connect automatically.But now 
it is not so.

Hi  .. i hope  someone here can help me..  im trying to make a button but i 
dont find any way  to connect it into another page..
i would like if there was same way when you make a webpage as hyperlink.. i 
have see there something says click on and there should be also you cun  
choose your Action. Lets say URL or a Android page  so when you have done 
that then you have a working button
Becouse we some dont know all the code system..we are not  able to do 
anything...  cun someone past me a guide some are Step by step it cun be 
nice to have..  :) Thanks in advance

Transferring ownership of an app in Google Play is a formality for who owns
(and can therefore can manage and update) an app within the context of
Google Play.

It has no bearing on the core Android installation / update process that
requires a unique package name and consistent signing key.

   compares the certificate(s) in the new version with those in the existing

[android-developers] Signing application results in different apk for wear, dont understand why?

Hi All,
I am new to android development and this is my first android app. My wear 
app got rejected because wear apk is not included.
I have followed 
http://developer.android.com/training/wearables/apps/packaging.html, but 
when I sign apk (using Build > Generate Signed APK in release mode) it 
generates two apks: mobile-release.apk and wear-release.apk.

I have verified following steps: 
1. I have same package name in mobile and wear modules.
2. Included all permissions declared in manifest file of wear in manifest 
of mobile.
3. Version code and version name is same in both modules.
4. My build.gradle file for mobile contains: wearApp project(':wear')

I don't get the reason of two different apk generation.

Please help me to understand what I am doing wrong. Thank you in advance.

This is a general question on deprecated functions. I thought i knew how to 
use them, but i am not sure and would like to ask. My particular case is 
about TextToSpeech, which has two speak() methods:

If i am developing for API level 21 or above, obviously i should be using 
1). But what if i am aiming for API level 8?

aiming for a lower API, or both:

if(Build.VERSION.SDK_INT >= 21) 1) else 2)

I am using the if/else method, but Studio uses strikeout to let me know it 
is deprecated.

[android-developers] Which account that getPurchases() method get information when using multiple account ?

For example:
- I login 3 accounts in Google Play Store and Google Play Game Service.
- I redeem a promo code via Play Store on account A.
- But my game is login as account C via Google Play Game Service.
- After redeeming a promotion code on account A via Play Store, I open the 
game and call getPurchases() method to get the information of the purchased 
item (using promo code). So which account that getPurchases() method get 
information from ? A or C ?
- If getPurchases() method get information from account A (the current 
account in Google Play Store) --> I will receive the info about the 
purchased item.
- If getPurchases() method get information from account C (the current 
account in Google Play Game Service) --> I will not receive any info about 
the purchased item.

Can anyone tell me which situation is correct ?
I have done follow all the steps above and haven't received any info. After 
that, I logout account C from my game, then login using account A via 
Google Play Game Service and call getPurchases() method, but there is 
nothing appear. I try to redeem another promotion code via account A but 
the system says: "This item is already in your library". Can anyone help me 
figure out what happens <

If you mean how long until it stops receiving updates to the latest Android
version, that is up to Google and not something they announce in advance.

But with a Android you are free to install ROMs (like Cyanogen) that are
kept up to date with the latest Android version. Then it depends on how
long that community maintains support.

Failing that, you are free to build the sources yourself, at which point it
only matters if your device hardware can support the latest version.

How do I enable the DDMS Location Controls values?

I need to be able to programmatically update these Longitude and
Latitude fields, but they are disabled.

I think once I enable them I will be able to execute the below code.

I've added the following 2 lines to the manifests.xml under the app folder.






Do I need Admin rights?  If so how do I get them?


I'm using Mac.

[android-developers] Google Services Error!!!

Hi Guys

I'm having the most annoying issue and i cannot seem to find a fix 
anywhere, i am trying to learn about google locations api for a university 
project.

I am currently trying to use google locations api on android studio for the 
most basic of things (getting location and dropping a pin on a map, at that 
location), im having a really annoying error

Google Service failed to initialize, status: 10, Missing an expected 
resource: 'R.string.google_app_id' for initializing Google services. 
 Possible causes are missing google-services.json or 
com.google.gms.google-services gradle plugin.

Now, i have been scouring the edges of the internet for a fix for this and 
have tried everything i could find
(Fresh install, downloading the google services json and placing it in the 
projects app folder, adding the compile line in the manifest, registered 
and got an api key for the project...)

I've been able to get locations, but only through a mock gps app on my 
phone (Nexus 5)

I am lost on where to go from here.. Any help would be appreciated

[android-developers] Lenovo yoga tablet 3 issues

I am developing an application for specifically 10 inch tablet
The application that renders perfectly on toshiba AT300 with the same size 
and resolution does not render properly on yoga tablet 3.
The only difference that I found between two devices were dpi value
i.e.
Toshiba - 160 dpi
Yoga Tablet 3 - 220 dpi

Though the value of dpi is high for yoga tablet 3 it should shrink the 
content but instead only 60% of the contents are covered and rest are cut.

Can some body help what's wrong with yoga tablet 3.

[android-developers] when receiving call -> disconnect automatically and immediately call another number

Hi,
I wonder if there's an app that can runs in the background, and can 
disconnect incoming call automatically and then call immediately another 
number.
It can be every call or from certain numbers - It doesn't matter much to me.
If there isn't - I'll be happy to get an advise for me to build such an app 
(I'm not a coder but will be happy to get ANY advice on this).
It will do wonders for my NGO,

[android-developers] Android reply app

Hi, I have created a automated text reply app, it works fine and will reply 
to normal text messages send from mobiles, but I also need to to reply to 
sms that have been sent from a computer ie computer generated text. My 
phone does not show the number it has come from but it assigns it a random 
number, that number changes every text received from a computer generated 
text. I can reply to these text normally using the standard built in 
messanger app on my phone but my auto text reply app I made wont reply to 
them, I think its replying to the random number my phone is assigning to 
those text when i receive them so the text are being sent back out to 
unknown numbers. What can i do to fix this issue?

Hi everyone, I can not find easy way to test local currency support in my 
application. For now I'm using this way:
 - config VPN of needed country on router
 - connect android to router
 - uninstall app
 - reboot android
 - install app by VPN
Do you know supposed or easier way to test this?

[android-developers] PROBLEME POUR LIRE PHOTOS ET VIDEOS SUR MON ORDINATEUR

Bonjour
J'ai un vieil ordinateur (10ans) WINDOWS XP.
J'ai un nouveau téléphone : SAMSUNG GALAXY S6

Je veux recopier et lire mes photos sur mon ordinateur. 
Mon ordinateur me permet de recopier les photos et vidéos mais lorsque je 
clique sur celles-ci, elles se retournent automatiquement. De ce fait, je 
ne peux pas lire les vidéos. Quant aux photos, pour les lire, soit il faut 
tourner la tête soit les rétrécir ce qui revient à ne plus prendre de 
photos ou vidéos avec mon téléphone!

Est-ce que quelqu'un a une solution afin que je puisse lire mes photos et 
visionner mes films sans problème ? (paramètres à changer sur mon 
ordinateur ???)

Pour info, ce problème est sur tous les WINDOWS XP (j'ai essayé sur mon 
petit portable SONY et le problème est identique)
Par contre sur un ordinateur WINDOWS 10 aucun problème (j'ai essayé sur 
l'ordinateur de mon fils)
