If I set write type WRITE_TYPE_SIGNED, I get status code as 135 and write fails. However when I used write type as WRITE_TYPE_NO_RESPONSE I getsuccess status code. Hi all, I'm getting problem with running few commands (such as - netcfg, ifconfig --help etc) over android shell accessed via minicom. Its easy to regenerate - open terminal. Issue command - netcfg. Output - Cannot perform requested operation: Permission denied Desired Output (as this is eng build)- output from the command. Android Version - GingerBread ICS. Web-services is one way of communicating using ksoap2, but simpler way is to use HTTP post to send file from android device. What are the problems I may face if I use HTTP post over web-services and vice-versa ? Hi All, I wanted to develop a game on android using cocos 2D engine. I found two different libraries by different developers for cocos2d- iphone library. [android-developers] Webview and native http requests clash
I have an app which has webviews to point to a url to browse pages. I also need to download data in background using httpurlconnection from the same server. When both are going on at the same time, webview at times displays the results from the http request, even though it didn't make the request for the particular url. [android-developers] webview cookie issue
I am writing a client server comms app. The server does a 302 temporarily down whenever the user requests to logout. The new url redirects the user the main page. This 302 response clears off the cookies, but webview I am using in the app doesn't seem to clear the cookies correctly and keeps the cookies in the webview cookie manager. [android-developers] Drawable Setbounds not working
I am trying to scale a drawable at run time depending on the orientation and and handset dimensions. But this does not seem to take effect. This is done on onPreDraw() of textview. It's a textview having text and images. Works fine on the 2.x handsets but does not work on the 1.6 ones. [android-developers] Drawable issues
Hi, I am trying to resize an image in a textview (set using imagespan). I tried using setbounds but the image is not reflected. OnPreDraw - set the bounds OnDraw - shows the image in some weird place - the updated position isn't shown correctly. [android-developers] Activity does not close on back key
I am starting a 2nd activity in my application. Activity A - Activity B Now I press Home key, and Activity B is shown. But pressing back key as soon as the view is up, does not stop Activity B. Rather it remains without any focus on the stack. I tried using finishActivity() but that does not seem to work either. [android-developers] how to modify emulator launcher main screen?
hi, when emulator launcher is launched, it launches with default first launcher screen. I want to change that to some other screen. how to do it? I checked apps/Launcher/src/com/android/launcher/Launcher.java. I think i change setContentView(R.layout.launcher) to my xml file(i.e setContentView(R.layout.trailpg) ) but where to copy my trailpg.xml file.
