Hmmm, last time I checked Apple didn't promise one either!

What Google is up to with this seeding joke (which obviously
 is
nothing) it's ignorance, pure and simple.
Fake promises are far more worse than no promises. I'm off to

[android-developers] Re: Device Seeding Program for Top Android Market Developers

2010-04-26 Thread Joël Bourquard
Here's my scientific estimate:

Time scale:

   (Now)(*1)-(*2)--
--(*3)--(*4)|

*1 == Google Market Seeding phones get delivered to Europe
*2 == Early leak of beta Hero firmware 2.1
*3 == Duke Nukem Forever gets released
*4 == End of Time

Remember - that's not the only thing we're waiting for ;-)

Did this help improve our troops' morale ?

John, just FYI, posting a ranking like this is pretty well
meaningless. The order of apps in the Market varies by country,
handset, carrier, and probably some other factors that Google has
never made clear. For example, I have an app which is #8 in Reference
here in the UK on my G1, but shows up as #5 on a Droid in the USA.

I got it for Titanium Backup (a tool for root users):

http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/

Had around 10k downloads at the time. Now just got past 50,000 and a
nice rating ;-)

Switzerland - and no Nexus received here yet.

Cheers,
