Hi, Anybody knows where to configure the proxy settings in the device? Or an app that lets one do so? Thanks, Krishna. I've used it and it works quite well. If you're trying to get the device itself to work from behind aproxy (i.e. browser, mail, all the built-in apps), I'm not sure if it's possible to do this from the ui without doing some fiddling around with adb commands. I've only gotten this to work from an emulator, by SSH-ing into the device and changing some tables in the settings database. Never tried from a real device. [android-developers] Google Apps for Domain mail
Hello, I have linked my phone to my Gmail account. However, I have a Google Apps for Domain account, that I would want to link my Mail and Calendar with. The Reader / Youtube etc. could continue to be linked with my Gmail account. In the Gmail app for S60, there was an option to add an additional account -- however, I can't find anything like that in my Android phone. Does somebody know if multiple accounts are supported? I would really want Push Email on my Apps Email rather than the Gmail. However, I wouldn't want it linked to my phone -- since I could leave my current organization at any time. Is there any plans to support Calendar / Mail integration with Apps separately? Would it be done with separate apps in the Market? Is there an ETA on when we can expect something like that? In the absence of push email for my business account, the phone isn't that useful for me! Hoping some Google employees can shed some light on these things. [android-developers] Re: Android Dev Phone 1™
Thanks Kevin. Did she give any kind of an ETA on when which orders shall be shipped? Could you pass me the number of Brightstar? If the doesn't ship today, I am not going to get the phone -- since my contact would have left the US before the phone gets delivered. After calling a boatload of times and receiving the Sorry we missed your call... message, I was able to get a human on the phone. The woman who answered (who was EXTREMELY nice btw) explained that has heard there may be issues with the shipping emails as others have contacted her regarding not recieving them. But, she also explained that the order process can take 3 days or so to physically ship. She went as far as to tell me what order number they were currently processing and where my order fell in the list. Lastly, she explained she is the ONLY one taking calls for Android, hence the near impossibility to get through on the phone... With that said, this doesn't answer the disappearing order question, but the rep. at Brightstar was really helpful. Kevin On Dec 10, 1:39 pm, melp melp...@gmail.com wrote: I have the same issue. [android-developers] Re: Android Dev Phone 1™
Same problem here. I placed an order, but the order doesn't appear on the Brightstar tracking page. It says that no orders have been placed. I have sent 3 emails to andr...@brightstarcorp.com but not received any useful replies. Anybody here knows how long it will take the phones to ship? I am relying on somebody to bring the phone from the US to India for me ... and in fact I paid extra shipping to ensure it reaches in time. In case, they delay shipping too much, I would rather cancel the order because then I can't get the phone brought to India for me, but the customer services hasn't even replied. Anybody here can help? Thanks, Krishna. kkme...@gmail.com melp wrote: I have the same issue. I placed an order twice on 8 Dec and got the confirming email. I just a mail saying the order has been shipped. The Brightstar site still shows no orders. So, that might be some help to others having a similar issue.
