This position is to work with team which deals with managing and execute several POCs (Proof of Concept) to evaluate new tools and technologies. Once a tool is selected, then work on integrating that tool within the existing technology stack and ecosystem. This person must have the ability to interact with senior technical personnel – Enterprise Architect, Sr. Data Architect, and Data Engineers – as business stakeholders and management. Job responsibilities: • Working in a cross functional team to provide data and analytic solutions for our Arden Hills Operations team. Cross functional teams are typically, business user, business analyst, technical peers within the team and across BSC, and global IT. • Provide on-site user support to clients, including data analysis, discovering, and fixing data issues, and assisting with various dashboard/reporting questions. • Should have experience and knowledge on modern technology stack items such as Snowflake, Talend, Kafka, and Google Cloud Platform. • Create various ETL jobs to extract required data in a timely fashion for data visualization and analytics. • Design develop and work with Databases using Star/snowflake Schema technique in Oracle/MS SQL. • Work with In-memory databases for faster retrieval of time series data for real time analytics. • Understand data structure and content, write SQL queries and stored procedures to extract data sets. • Documents software development by writing technical documents and reports. • Tracks software development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool. • Using methods determined by approved procedures and standards. • Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, and tests software applications using Object-Oriented Analysis and Design methodology. • Placing strong emphasis on customer focus by providing timely support of production issues. • Should have strong communication skills to gather user requirements, write user stories and work with Business SME’s independently. Minimum Qualifications • 2-5 Years of relevant work experience with BS • 1-2Years of relevant work experience with MS • Experience creating and maintaining ETL jobs using SSIS, informatica or Alteryx • Experience creating SQL queries, and stored procedures in SQL Server, Oracle and Big data (Impala) • Experience providing solutions using data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI, SSRS, SAP Business Objects etc. • Experience in Object-Oriented programming, Python and R • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate user requirements into technical implementation • Understanding of SAP business warehouse and Bex queries Preferred Qualifications o Working knowledge in Snowflake is plus. o High level understanding of Public Cloud offerings like AWS/cloud o Experience in NoSQL data stores development, like Splunk, Kafka/bigdata/spark/Hadoop. o Familiarity of the needs and terminology of a business user within operations (scrap, cycle time, inventory, OEE, etc.) o Experience with industry 4.0 technology trends o Developing software within the medical device industry (or comparable highly regulated environment) o Ignition by Inductive Automation or other SCADA development experience o Experience with data analytics/predictive analytics o Python and/or Java development experience Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities: Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
