*Duration: 6 months plus Contract*
*Mode of Interview: Phone and Skype*
*Job Description:*
Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and
documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more
user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support,
maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with
client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and
processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes
recommendations.
- Analysis of key Natural applications in order to prepare for a
conversion to a new Mainframe environment
- Maintain the legacy Natural applications until they are replaced
- Develop code in COBOL to replace some of the legacy natural programs
- Thoroughly test and document code changes per our defined quality
process
*Education:*
Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years’ experience
*Specific Experience Required:*
- Candidate would need experience in:
1. Natural Programming
2. Cobol Programming
3. Relational Databases (ADABASE and DB2 preferred)
*Personal Skills Required:*
- Candidate would need:
1. Good communication skills
2. The ability to work in a team environment
3. To be motivated
4. Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis skills
5. Planning and Organizational skills
*Technical Skills Required:*
- Candidate would need:
1. Natural Programming
2. Cobol Programming
*Notes:*
- Strong knowledge of Natural Programming and Cobol Programming
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to problem solve
