[android-developers] Re: Market comments disappearing over last few days
I've seen them disappear a lot over the last month or two. [android-developers] Re: Market comments disappearing over last few days
Well as of this morning, when I look on my phone (running 1.5) I have only ONE comment left!!! - and that is a comment I left to correct some misinformation put by another user. When I look on my dev console there are still 6 showing but none of the English language positive ones are left and 3 negative ones still show along with some foreign language ones. I cannot believe I am alone in this problem. Unless the view I see of the market is different from others ...? The numbers of user ratings continues to climb so Google is getting feedback on my app but it appears they have lost the comments over the last few days. Alternatively, if it truly is possible for someone (even a competitor) to remove comments, good or bad, by simply marking as Spam (or marking them as Spam several times) then Google needs to change this IMMEDIATELY as it would be far too open to abuse. I find it hard to believe that anyone would want to do that but the world is a strange place. Also both good AND bad comments have now disappeared from my view of the market so I am doubtful. However, the loss of comments did coincide with a recent significant increase in downloads as my app got more visibility. If anyone from Google reads this please comment. I have had no response from my emails to the market support team apart from the automated reply. I have had no response from my emails to the market support team apart from the automated reply. That's because there really is no market support team. Usually, when wonky stuff like this happens with the Market, the general course of action is one of sit and wait as the market team screws something up on the back end and then eventually fixes it. Without any communication whatsoever to the people that were effected by the issues, naturally. [android-developers] Re: Market comments disappearing over last few days
Perhaps someone (a competitor?) has marked those comments as spam so they have been removed from the market? On Jul 26, 9:00 pm, Geefer paul.gee...@googlemail.com wrote: Hi, every time I have looked at the market comments for my app over the last few days some more comments have disappeared. This is whether I look on the phone or on the developer console. Unfortunately the comments that Google has chosen to 'lose' are my most favourable comments leaving several This app suxss type comments by the usual Neanderthals who like to be abusive. I have checked with a helpful user who left a positive comment and they have not removed them themselves or de-installed so what is going on? It is seriously hurting my downloads/sales and the impression that potential users of my app see when they look on the market. I have emailed Google but no reply yet. Is anyone else seeing this?
