Hi,

have anyone  resolved this issue..i am facing the same one..I did 
everything, nothing works.when installing SDK build tools from sdk manager, 
this is giving a error message. "activity_main cannot be resolved or is not 
a field" . The Generated R.Java files also missing. on all my projects.!

I had the problem too, there is a new Android SDK Bild-tools. Open the 
Android SDK Manager and make a update, maybe twice.
