AFAIK this is possible if you create your own IM, by extending the class InputMethodService and overriding the method onEvaluateFullscreenMode() to always return true. Hi, I am also looking for displaying soft keyboard in my layout programmatically (not full screen but always visible.) Do you guys have any idea about this ?
