Regards, Mark Kosters Chief Technology Officer American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) Release Notes - Navigation and eligibility status for ARIN’s routing security services, the Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI), and Internet Routing Registry (IRR) have been condensed into a single Routing Security Dashboard in ARIN Online. We have also made the navigation of the IRR pages consistent with the RPKI portions of the website. - Abuse, Network Operation Center (NOC), and DNS Points of Contact now have read-only viewing privileges for RPKI details in both ARIN Online and the RESTful API. - Creating a new Route Origin Authorization (ROA) in ARIN Online now automatically creates and manages the matching IRR Route Objects based on the ROA prefix and max length configuration. If the creation of a ROA would result in more than 256 IRR Route Objects, no managed IRR Route Objects will be created. Managed IRR Route Objects may not be removed independently of their covering ROAs. Deleting a ROA in ARIN Online will automatically delete its corresponding managed IRR Route Objects. In the coming weeks, ARIN will create managed IRR Route Objects for all preexisting ROAs that do not currently have matching IRR Route Objects. Preexisting IRR Route Objects that match ROAs will be associated with the covering ROA. - To create feature parity with templates, we have added the capability to modify reassignment information within ARIN Online without any changes to the registration date. - Customers can begin the application process for the Qualified Facilitator Program in ARIN Online. ARIN Qualified Facilitators serve as resources for the community by assisting organizations seeking to acquire or transfer IPv4 or Autonomous System Number (ASN) resources. ___ ARIN-Announce You are receiving this message because you are subscribed to the ARIN Announce Mailing List (ARIN-announce@arin.net). Regards, Mark Kosters Chief Technology Officer American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) Release Notes We completed a number of infrastructure improvements and bug fixes, including: • System changes to remove the “Direct Assignment” (DS) resource category: Due to the 2022 Fee Schedule (https://www.arin.net/resources/fees/fee_schedule/2022_fee_schedule/) changes, after 1 January 2022, ARIN no longer makes a distinction in its database between direct allocations (IP address space issued directly from ARIN to an organization that could be reallocated or reassigned by the organization) and direct assignments (IP address space issued directly from ARIN to an organization for its own exclusive use). Only the “direct allocation” (DA) category will be used for space issued by ARIN. As a result, in ARIN Reg-RWS, the netBlock field in the NET payload will no longer include the DS field. To provide a grace period so that customers can update their RESTful API scripts, this field will be temporarily ignored by the Reg-RWS system and an informational message returned instead of rejecting the payload. Other allocation types (https://www.arin.net/resources/manage/regrws/payloads/#net-type) remain unchanged. • Made changes to Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP) as part of the ongoing effort to ensure conformance with the NRO RDAP Profile (https://bitbucket.org/nroecg/nro-rdap-profile/raw/0ede2b21a9103409b7d4c9c8a1894eb230b77dcd/nro-rdap-profile.txt), including: • IP and ASN resources in IANA’s special-purpose registries are indicated with a reserved status. • Added nro_rdap_profile_0 string to responses and the nro_rdap_profile_asn_flat_0 string to autnum responses. • Updated the rdapConformance field in a help response to include values for all implemented server extensions. • Updated the nameservers field for domain response to reflect correct case. • Changed the rel type in RDAP responses for the Whois Inaccuracy Reporting web link to inaccuracy-report and the Terms of Service web link to terms-of-service. • Set status to active in autnum responses. • Include trailing period in ldhName values for reverse domain responses. ___ ARIN-Announce You are receiving this message because you are subscribed to the ARIN Announce Mailing List (ARIN-announce@arin.net). [arin-announce] New Features Added to ARIN Online
ARIN is pleased to present the latest version of ARIN Online, including improvements, new features, and enhancements. Today’s system upgrade was performed without any impact in service to customers. As we move forward, many of our future releases will not have any impact to customers as well. We have deployed a stateless architecture that allows us to upgrade parts of our infrastructure with no interruption of service. We completed a number of infrastructure improvements and bug fixes, including: * Based on the consultation on deleting aged report request tickets that closed 31 July 2019, ARIN has implemented an automated process to delete these specific report tickets after 90 days. The individual tickets for these reports now provide an option to retain the report if you do not want it deleted. The types of report tickets affected are Associations Reports, WhoWas Reports, Reassignment Reports, and User Reassignment Reports. * Navigation in the Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) section of ARIN Online was improved. If you have additional questions, comments, or issues, please submit an Ask ARIN ticket using your ARIN Online account, or contact the Registration Services Help Desk by phone Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM ET at +1.703.227.0660.
