Remedy Link for SQL
All Listers I need to integrate Altiris into the CMDB using the ALT2CMDB integration together with Remedy Link for SQL and EIE. The BMC Remedy Server is running on Solaris and the Altiris Database is on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. Does my EIE and Remedy Link for SQL need to run on a separate server in order to connect to Altiris Database and the Data Exchange Application needs to be installed on the Solaris machine? Any suggestions on the best configuration for the above? Hi All We are running our BMC Remedy with BMC Atrium on Solaris with an Oracle database and need to connect to a MS 2003 Altiris database using ALT2CMDB The following were done: Installed EIE 7.0.1 on Solaris Did the pre-installation parts for ALT2CMDB - CMDB Extensions etc. On what platform do I have to install the SQL adapter to pull data from Altiris? My recommendation would be use the appendixes in the documentation that comes with it as a guide. Then write your own data exchanges and use the SQL adapter instead. You can pull data in using the ALT2CMDB but the mappings are very generic and dont pull enough support information for our business needs. Our plan of attack was review the appendixes, identify what classes we need and what attributes we need and then created our own data exchanges using the SQL adapter. Splitting of a string
Hi All I need to split the following string: vimals;appadmin;rianaj a filter must use the first logon id vimals and then appadmin and then rianaj etc. therefore it must split the string on ; I want to pass it to the E-Mail engine, which uses "Hard returns" to send a message to a list of people as per Email engine 700 documentation page 89 "To specify one or more recipients, enter any of the following choices separated by hard returns (the server evaluates each line separately) in the User Name field: _ AR System user logins _ AR System groups _ Direct email addresses" Any suggestions will be of great help.
