Re: Anyone have a list (or know of a list) of plugins...
Thanks to everyone who replied. What started this was a plugin error that was due to a C plugin that was listed in the ar.cfg with a port of . Not sure how that happened, but, it did. Normally, it's easy enough to see a plugin alias with a port of , and think, that's a java plugin; the see another plugin alias with a port that matches one that you've defined for C plugins (see Plugin-Port: ), and think, that's a C plugin; but, in my case, it wasn't so easy. So, I thought I'd see if there was a list somewhere that differentiated between the two (but it doesn't look like there is). Thanks, anyway! rp On 9/23/2013 11:21 AM, Jarl Grøneng wrote: ** All C-plugins are listed in ar.conf, named: Plugin: Java plugins can be listed in armonitor.conf, and in one or more pluginsvr_config.xml files. All C-plugins are listed in ar.conf, named: Plugin: Java plugins can be listed in armonitor.conf, and in one or more pluginsvr_config.xml files. You can also see java plugins in ar.conf, listed as Server-Plugin-Alias: port. But C plugins can also be listed as Server-Plugin-Alias, if they are located on a different server. -- J : 2013/9/20 Chris Jones > All Java plugins are listed in pluginsvr/pluginsvr_config.xml so any in > ar.cfg and not listed here will be C plugins. > > Chris > > --- Original Message --- > > From: "Joe Martin D'Souza" > Sent: 20 September 2013 19:49 > To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG > Subject: Re: Anyone have a list (or know of a list) of plugins... > > For getting just the list, the ar.conf file should be more than enough for > plugins used by the AR Server and applications installed on it. > > You could also probably try to identify most of their types from the > configuration parameter name related to each of the plugin - I think most > of > them have the type in the configuration parameter name.. > > Cheers > > Joe > > -Original Message- > From: Rick Phillips > Sent: Friday, September 20, 2013 1:28 PM Newsgroups: > public.remedy.arsystem.general > To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG > Subject: Anyone have a list (or know of a list) of plugins... > > ...describing which are C plugins and which are Java plugins? > > Thanks, > > Rick > > ars/itsm/cmdb 8.1 > SQL 2008 > > > ___ > UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org > "Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years" > > > ___ > UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org > "Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years" > > > ___ > UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org > "Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years" > ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org "Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years"

For getting just the list, the ar.conf file should be more than enough for plugins used by the AR Server and applications installed on it. You could also probably try to identify most of their types from the configuration parameter name related to each of the plugin - I think most of them have the type in the configuration parameter name.. All Java plugins are listed in pluginsvr/pluginsvr_config.xml so any in ar.cfg and not listed here will be C plugins.
