Re: Changing the view

2011-04-06 Thread Joe Martin D'Souza

Mark,

I suspect it fires that active link every time it opens that window, and runs
into an endless loop..

To close the loop I would add

$CLIENT-TYPE$ = 9 AND $VUI$ != “WebView”

This will mean that when the WebView really opens that AL will test false and
not execute its If Action...

Hope this helps...

Cheers

Joe

Subject: Changing the view

**
Hi All,

I am baffled with this one. I have a custom named “Test Form” which contains a
lot of fields and is pretty ugly. I created a view called WebView which is a
cleaned up version. What want to do is display WebView when the user is using
the web client. I attempting to use an active link with a qualification
$CLIENT-TYPE$ = 9. If the active link only displays a message it works fine. If
I attempt an open window then it hangs and on the bottom of browser it flashes
that it is downloading the http…..

I have tried display, window opened, window loaded and have not found the right
combination.

ARS 6.3 patch 20

Mid-tier 6.3 patch 20

IE 8

Can someone help me out with this?

Thanks

Mark
