Re: Atrium 7.6 Promote Sandbox Changes after server restart.

2009-12-03 Thread DCI Remedy
I THINK the issue is resolved. I deleted a Pending job run for the Atrium
Explorer - Identification and Merge job. Not sure why there was an empty
pending run. The Promote Sandbox Changes doesn't come up now. I'll keep
you updated as I do further testing.

Thanks Jason for giving me that tip.

Hi again,

Great stuff, thanks.

Now, I am not sure if my reply post on ARSList made it to you but here is
what I also sent you yesterday:

I had a similar issue. To resolve my particular issue I had to delete some
queued jobs in the 'Reconciliation Job Run' (RE:Job_Runs) form with a Job
Name of Atrium Explorer - Identification and Merge. For some reason there
were 3 queued jobs. Once these were deleted, Atrium Explorer no longer
showed the promotion.

Perhaps check your 'Reconciliation Job Run' form and see if you have any
queued jobs sitting there for Atrium Explorer - Identification and Merge.
Try deleting the queued jobs and go back into Atrium Explorer and see if it
has resolved your problem.

Cheers,

Peter, I'll give that a try.

 Lyle,

When I attempt to access my personal sandbox view in Atrium Core Console
Explorer, its automatically sets off the Promote Sandbox Changes in
Progress process. This runs for approximately 30 minutes and then errors
out. The issue is, I have not triggered a promotion. This started
happening after a server restart. I've gone through various forms and cfg
files to try and determine why this is being kicked off. I've purged all
instances under my sandbox in the hopes that it would stop the process from
 kicking off.

I can only assume that someting is firing a reconciliation because the
arrecond.exe process is active and the log is growing quite rapidly.

Re: Atrium 7.6 Promote Sandbox Changes after server restart.

2009-12-01 Thread DCI Remedy

Maybe it would help to understand why you want to disable this activity.
Normally, this shouldn't be an issue unless you have multiple thousands of
CIs in the sandbox, and I would think that a personal sandbox would normally
not contain that many, so even if the job kicked off, it should complete
fairly quickly without causing any problems.

What is the symptom your seeing that you are trying to correct that you
think stopping this job from kicking off will solve? Maybe it's not the
real issue that should be looked at.

If the Application Pending entries are all inactive then try deleting them
all and see if this makes any difference.

 Cheers

Why not use the Atrium console?

Have you looked at Peter's suggestion about Pending processes?

Failing that, is the job been mistakenly changes to continuous?

I disabled those filters but the arrecond process is still running
and trying to promote my personal sandbox changes. I've gone so far
as purging all records that were in my sandbax (BMC.AE.SBhttp://bmc.ae.sb/
 .USERID.1)

Just a quick question. Does anyone know why after a server restart,
Atrium trys to promote Sandbox changes even though I didn't initiate
it. Is there a way to cancel this process?

  Thanks

Is it possible that the Application Pending form has entries that are being
triggered by the restart?
