Re: [art] VOTE for Official Artwork - CD labels
Hello Bernhard, all I don't respond too much. As a Graphic Designer by profession, I like them all. However, if everyone may agree(or disagree,) I think the color difference may be to much the same. I do like the reflections, and the color changes, but maybe something a little more pronounced. Writer seems to get a little lost, but that is my own opnion. Re: [art] design of the marketing blog
Hello Bernhard, Alexandro, Florian, All- What about a phpbb style? Or would that be too much "Forum-Ish" I've got some space on my personal server for another installitation. But it is not my call. Just a thought and an offer-- -Gabriel - Original Message - From: "Alexandro Colorado" To: Sent: Sunday, May 24, 2009 3:16 PM Subject: Re: [art] design of the marketing blog However we do have a Planet, and I think we could add a bettter structure to the MArketing Planet could be a better idea to work with than a community blog. If we filter the posts to make it just OOo relevant we could use Planet instead of blogger. I just can't stomach relying on blogger to deliver what it should be, an official OOo project news/blog. Sorry too because I didnt want to take this discussion off topic, to compensate my trolling I am already investigating the blogger CSS and doing an initial theme. Re: [art] design of the marketing blog
Hi Florian, thanks for the proposal, but I prefer to see the normal OOo website skin. That might fit better than phpBB. If memory serves me correctly (and I hope it does, at times) we should be able to change the themes on phpbb. (ref. www.phpbb.com/styles ) Granted, I am not savvy in php, if it anyone is, perhaps a possibility? -Gabriel - To unsubscribe, e-mail: art-unsubscr...@marketing.openoffice.org For additional commands, e-mail: art-h...@marketing.openoffice.org

Re: [art] design of the marketing blog
Morning (or Evening) Florian, Dennis, All- I think based upon those restrictions a third party site is required. It seems blogger is the software of choice at the moment.. I've got a few MySQL/PHP Databases on my personal server I would be willing to donate to the OpenOffice Blog. Granted, I think it would be better if everything is kept "On-Site" via www.openoffice.org Is there a way to do remote linking from one domain to another while keeping the URL the same? (Apologies, it is late here, CST, 3 A.M.) hm... the site doesn't give many details. What are the preqrequisites of this blog? Remember, we neither have PHP scripting available, nor do we have >a database. ;-( Florian, I can provide the PHP and Database services, and, if the community decides to, provice the proper admin(s). In regards to the Blog software, I am not too knowing of it. But with the opening of a free database and PHP host, is there a light of hope? Perhaps there is something else we can look at? Re: [art] Style for the colour-blind
Dear Ivan & Bill- Ivan: I think Bill is "putting it out there" that there are some Daltonism-Friendly templates in the gallery (or perhaps the U.I. I do stand to be corrected if I have read the e-mail messages wrong). Oddily enough, my Father and youger Brother have the same condition and have wondered the same thing. Perhaps in the next release or for newer templates the OO-teams consider make a "Dual" style? i.e. Full color, and another in grayscale only? This could go several different ways, but, it is just my thoughs, and I do like to be corrected. Bill: Are my theories correct? Or am I simply "grasping at straws." I will side with Ivan on that point. Again, I could be incorrect in my thought processes, so I will accept any feedback. Hello Dr. Bernhard, I will be attending a few conventions and events in the near future. Is the logo in the wiki the one I should be using for promotional material?
