Re: [ASN.1] characterString valid set

2002-06-05 Thread John Larmouth

The International Register is available (for free) on the Web at
http://www.itscj.ipsj.or.jp/ISO-IR/

You can get the complete register entry for all of the register entries,
and in particular for all those referenced by ASN.1. Ther register
entry gives the glyph, its encoding, and the name for each character in
the register entry, plus the escape sequence that invokes that register
entry.

  Hello,

In X.680, Table 3 defines the valid char set for each
restricted char set. For some of these there are
tables which define the valid character set such as
  NumericString (table 4) or PrintableString(table 5).
And there are some other which are defined in a
crypted way such VideotexString, GraphicString etc. So
I have problem to find the appropriate valid set as
defined in table 3 (All G,C sets, register number (?)1
,156...). Where can I find documents which describes
  these sets??

As stated in Table 3, The defining registration numbers are listed in
'ISO International Register of Coded Character Sets to be used with Escape
Sequences'. You can purchase that document from ISO.
