Re: [Asterisk-Users] te405p and dell poweredge

2005-06-07 Thread =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Daniel_Nystr=F6m?=
Hi, I want to install * and te405p on Dell Poweredge 1850. Can I do
that successfully? Any one has successful experience on that scenario?

Thanks.

I do. The only thing I would like to inform you, is the total lack of
other Linux distros support than RedHat.
I'm running a very slimmed 1850 with two SCSI discs and RAID1, and
Debian as distro to make it really Asterisk-only.
But all Dell-specific hardware management software (all except the RAID
driver) are a djungel of Java based installers and graphical softwares.

Crap in my eyes.

But else it runs perfectly.

[Asterisk-Users] ISDN Data Calls stop working ?

2005-06-03 Thread =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Daniel_Nystr=F6m?=
After a big help from Peter Svensson, I got ISDN Data-calls up and
running (will probably send a small patch to Mantis soon).
But now when everything seems connected, pppd has been authorized by
other peer and even got an IP address, the whole connection seems to
stop working.
Very unregulary, the PPPD's EchoReq's stop being answered, and of course
all TCP/IP-traffic as well.

It takes between 0-2 minutes till the connection breaks.
I've setup 'lcp-echo-interval 30' and 'lcp-echo-failure 4' (something
like that). And it could reply to 1-2 EchoReq's sometimes, sometimes none.

BUT!
The really strange thing is; when my pppd has determined that the serial
link is closed (the ISDN connection), it will send an Terminate Request!
And that Terminate Request are confirmed by other peer! How strange is
that?!
I've spoken to my ISP and even got their log from my call. And it alls
seems correct from their side. The EchoReq's doesn't seems to reach them
though. But the Terminal Request does afterwards.

I think this is a Nobel Prize issue. :)

[Asterisk-Users] How does ISDN really work?

2005-05-31 Thread =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Daniel_Nystr=F6m?=
I'm trying to setup DATA calls with Dial(Zap/g1d/12345678), but with PRI
DEBUG SPAN 1 on, it seems to connect a regular SPEECH call.

I'm using 1.0.6. Is this feature broken in stable release?
There seems to be support in the source, but it doesn't work.
Does the Telco set what each PRI channel support? Like DATA or SPEECH etc..
Do I have to specify in zapata.conf or zaptel.conf that the channels are
DATA capabale?

Please help! This is driving me crazy soon. :)
