I have sorted out the problem of compiling the CVS 040608. When launched

Although the Makefile in asterisk is changed to PROC=i586. The Makefile
in codecs/ilbc still has a line of reference by using uname -m which
will come up with i686 architecture. So if you change that line 1 to:

CFLAGS+=-Wall -Werror -fPIC -O3 -march=i586 -funroll-loops
 ^^
-fomit-frame-pointer
LIB=libilbc.a
So I wonder the line should be -march=$(PROC) or just hardcord to i586
instead. I am not training in programming, please correct me if I am
wrong. This should be submited to asterisk so that they can fix the bug
too.

It will compile and work correctly.
you have a C3 processor (or eden) which misses a couple instructions
(CMOV and another one) to be a complete i686.
If you want better speed, you should switch to a nehemiah processor
which is a complete i686

5) Still no Answer
6) Local * Voicemail.
I have 1 working, and I had 4 working when there was only one box, i.e.
when the handset did not answer the DG, asterisk went to the next step.

Now that I have step 1 going to another server, it does not get to 4, 5
or 6, it defaults to the default mailbox on IAX(2).
So how can I have IAX(2) drop the call in a way that IAX(1) keeps going,
have IAX(1) timeout?
Thanks!

You need a R2 converter. R2lib is under construction.

but ? what is R2 ?

If you don't know, then don't worry. Your life is simpler for it.

Oh, OK. Its a trunk signalling system, based on dual tones (not DTMF -
other dual tones). It sucks. It makes no sense in the age of digital
networks. Its heavily used in South America, parts of Asia, and parts of
Eastern Europe for E1s.
ah, ok

how would it be possible to have 30 analog lines using asterisk for PBX
the easiest and cheapest way is to use a te410p and a couple of channel

by just using TDM40B and X100P (or are there any device), if an
ordinary PC support just 4 PCI slots? the maximum scale i guess would
just be 2 x 8. Adding a new PC just for this purpose would be costly.
I would appreciate your comments.

These days there are lots of pseudo-SCSI systems around - such as our server

I know one thing for sure...
G729 WILL NOT WORK after installation *(it never realy installs but does
the segmentation faults), * will not start, and you will need to prevent
g729 module from

So do not buy if your box is SCSI in any part.
