[asterisk-users] Embedded IAX
Hi All, I've been lurking here for a while now, having only made a couple of posts. I am starting a new hardphone project and was wondering if there is some GPL'ed IAX source that I could start with. I've searched and haven't come up with much beyond iaxClient. While iaxClient does give me a little bit to start with, it looks like it is really intended to be more of a softphone running on a Linux machine, and will take some heavy mods to get it running in an embedded DSP environment. Running something like AstLinux on the DSP along with iaxClient may be a possibility but it seems like an awfully lot of baggage to carry around just to get the IAX part of the project. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Best, Bill -- _ -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- New to Asterisk? [asterisk-users] newbie question
Hi All, When typing 'help' on the command line (* console) is there a way to keep it from just scrolling most of the information off the top of the screen? I can't hit ctrl-s fast enough so I miss most of the info. This makes 'help' be not much help. Re: [asterisk-users] asterisk-users Digest, Vol 64, Issue 52
Thanks for the speedy response, Danny. So you recommend I run something like: asterisk -r | tee ast-help.txt Then when I need help on a command I request it on the command line, exit to the shell, edit (or whatever) the .txt file to find the command syntax I am looking for, then re-enter the asterisk cli? Kind of defeats the purpose of 'online help' doesn't it? Not trying to be a smart-a$$, just hoping to find something a little smoother. Is there a better way, or is help as useless as it is starting to appear? [asterisk-users] Codec interface
Hi All, I need to interface a codec-type device to Asterisk. The device uses a TI TLV320AIC1110 codec in 15 bit linear data mode with a 2.048 MHz clock supplied by the device. I am about to start on a custom hardware design to interface this device to the computer, but thought I'd ask here before I get started on it. Does anyone know of a hardware interface that is already being manufactured that can tie a codec-based device into Asterisk?
