[Asterisk-Users] H323 Asterisk best practices
I recently have been required to terminate traffic via H323. We have beensuccessfully handling this traffic as SIP. We often have 30 + concurrent calls on this server and I am not quite sure the best way to handle this new H322 traffic. Which of the h323 channels for * can handle this traffic reliably? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. [Asterisk-Users] Extension availabilty
I have a client that has an old Merlin system. They would like to move to an Asterisk based system, however, with their existing system each phone is capable of displaying who is on the phone within there office. This is done by lighting a red light for each line(extension) that is in use. Has anyone been able to neatly create this feature? Perhaps an XML application can be written for the Cisco 7960's that would be capable of displaying which extension is being used and which extensions are not in use. Any suggestions would be appreciated. [Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7960 tftp not null terminated
Has anyone seen this problem: I recently purchased new 7960g's with sccp firmware on it. When I try to upgrade the firmware to SIP the phones seem to be making malformed tftp requests. The logs shows: sending NAK (4, Request not null-terminated) to 192.168.0.55 Thanks in advance, Josh Laroff ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
[Asterisk-Users] Legacy Toshiba integration
I have recently changed jobs and I now have to administer a Toshiba DK424. I would like to integrate Asterisk with this Toshiba PBX. I am quite familiar with Asterisk but I have absolutely no idea about this Toshiba. To make matters worse the manuals for this system are missing. What I would like to do is place Asterisk in such a way that we can extend the Voicemail boxes and possibly add a few voip extensions. What advice if any might the list have on this subject? I have looked on the wiki's Asterisk legacy integration and did not find anything regarding Toshiba Thanks in advance -Josh ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
Re: [Asterisk-Users] cisco 7960 firmware
Don't know if it is legal, but if you email me off the list I have them. -Josh On 5/9/05 1:43 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi List! As a child did you ever receive a present that required batteries only to find all the shops were shut? That's the way I feel at the moment with my cisco 7960 IP phone. Recently purchased off ebay was looking forward to connecting up to my asterisk pbx ( installed a few days ago ). The firmware the phone came with ( 3.1 I think ) is not the SIP firmware I need. So I though I'd have a look on voip-info.org, did some light reading and noticed I needed a contract from cisco to download the firmware. Thought this a little strange so called cisco and they asked me to call a re-seller. Now I have to wait for them to get me a price, then order it ( said it could be a few days ) then add it to my cisco registration ( another few days ) Is there anywhere I could get the files I need to upgrade my phone just so I can get the thing working while I wait for my contract? Any help would be appreciated.
