Thanks for the answer!

I see. What confuses me is the following offer:

http://voipcomponents.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/176

If I understand correctly, they state they provide Sun Fire X2100 fitted
with a two-port E1 Sangoma card and using Asterisk. I've looked at
Sangoma's offering and I could not find any PCI Express voice card. I
wonder how they did that (unless they made a spelling error converting a
X4100 to X2100).

[Asterisk-Users] [Slightly OT] Does TE110P (a 32-bit PCI) fit into PCIe x8 slot?

2006-03-08 Thread Josip Gracin

Hello!

Does TE110P (a 32-bit PCI) fit into PCI Express x8 slot? I'm thinking
of buying a Sun X2100 and it has a PCI Express x8 slot.

Or perhaps, does Digium produce PCI Express E1 cards?

Thanks in advance!

It turned out that it doesn't. Which leaves me with the question: does
Digium produce PCI-express cards?

 It works for me.

Thanks! It does for me too now. It didn't work initially because I've
not set priority in RedirectAction.

[Asterisk-Users] Using RedirectAction with queues

2005-09-11 Thread Josip Gracin

Hello!

Is it legal to use RedirectAction to redirect a call that is waiting in
a queue?

The idea is to have an external application manage a queue via manager
API. The queue
would merely collect calls and play moh.

I've tryed this already but asterisk sends SIP/Forbidden to the channel
in queue,
after the channel has been redirected by RedirectAction, even though the
response

to RedirectAction is Success.

I'll send more details if necessary, but I just wanted first make sure
that this

is how it's supposed to be done.

Thanks in advance!

[Asterisk-Users] How to connect many analog lines to Asterisk?

2005-09-07 Thread Josip Gracin

Hello!

If I have more than a hundred analog telephones (analog lines) that need
to be connected to Asterisk PBX, what kind of hardware do I need, and
where can I buy it?

Thanks in advance!

Wow, first of all, if you have a hundred analog lines, you are doing
yourself a disservice.a 4 T1's would be much much cheaper, and much
easier to manage.

Let me clear this up a little bit. There are hundreds of telephone
devices inside the building, all connected to a PBX, and there is an
E1/T1 connection to the PSTN (being statistically multiplexed,
obviously). What I'd like to do is to replace the PBX with Asterisk.

I don't see how I can make the situation better by using 4 T1's?

Anyway, for 100 analog lines, I'd get 3 adit 600 channel banks and fill
them with FXO cards, and then buy 1 TE406 Quad T1 card for your asterisk
box.

Thanks, I think that's what I need.

Well, actually, I said: If I have more than a hundred analog telephones

Anyway, thanks everybody for the info!
