2012-02-10 Thread Marcio Gomes

Shaun,

Follwing more tests :

1) In production box asterisk works with 2.4.X dahdi tree + kernel
2.33.x tree. I can put the trunk up and recieve some calls .

2) In the same box I had tested dahdi 2.6.X + same kernel, when run
dahdi_cfg this error messages comes , in dahdi_cfg running and

no interrupts are in dmesg .. Any idea ?

Loading DAHDI hardware modules:
  wct4xxp: [ OK ]
  wcfxo: [ OK ]

Running dahdi_cfg: DAHDI startup failed: Input/output error

Please see the follwing quoted ( in old messages ) text about 2.6
dahdis, as you can see in devel box, dahdi_cfg works in new dadhdi ( I
not know if pri goes

up in asterisk, because this box are without )

Any idea here ?

3) I remember some problems in dahdi=2.6 our 2.5 with newer kernel
trees. This issue ( new dahd's not works and old dahd's not compile in new
kerne tree) will be a problem in future time. A brazilian guy post to me
that are problems in new dahdi and old boards.. , can you confirm any issue

in this points ?

 /etc/init.d/dahdi stop

Yeah, it's correct IMO.

After working hours ( until next monday ) I will do some tests in
production box.. ( I have to change the kernel config and others small
things I have modified
in last week and are generating some Kpanic's in module load ). I can
only do this in time slot 00:00 - 07:00 am

2012-02-09 Thread Marcio Gomes

Hello Shaun,

I take this approach :

- zaptel 1.2.XX , 1.4.XX I can see interrupts working , I made some
patches to compile in 2.6.32 kernel tree.

- dahdi 2.0.0 to dahdi-2.2.0, I can see interrupts working, I made some
patches to compile in 2.6.32 kernel tree

- This itop from 2.2.0 tree :

IRQs/Second
  Device (IRQ) CPU0CPU1 TOTAL
rtc0 ( 8): 0 0 0
   i8042 ( 1): 0 0 0

 cascade ( 2): 0 0 0
 wct4xxp ( 20): 566 4351001

As you can see, I am having 1K int/s

- My patches are related to add #include linux/sched.c in dahdi-base.c
, wct4xxp.c and wctdm.c , and comment out the lines relative to others
drivers ( I only needs wcfxo, wctdm and wct4xxp

to this box )

- 2.2.1 and greater - Compiles without patches, but not working, int/s = 0

I do not knows the main changes from 2.2.0 to to 2.2.1 dahdi-tree , but
it is clear to me that problems are in this changes. I can goes up and
down between versions
with same issues, I do this because initially suspected from da dead

Hello Shaun,

1) dahdi-linux-complete-2.2.0.2+2.2.0 , is generatiing 1K int/s after
patches..

2) Looking in 2.2.1 code, i see to wct4xxp.c the alarmdebounce set in
2500 and in 2.2.0 the alarmdebounce seted to 0,

I load the module with alarmdebouce=0 paramter = the interrupts are up
to 1000 int/s

After this, I test all versions until dahdi-linux-complete-2.6.0+2.6.0

cd version
make distclean
make
make install
/etc/init.d/dahdi stop ;sleep 3; modprobe dahdi; modprobe wct4xxp
debug=1 alarmdebounce=0  ; dahdi_cfg

.itop =  to see interrupts.

always are 1000 ints/s

I not touch in losalarmdebounce=0 aisalarmdebounce=0 yelalarmdebounce=0
module paramters.

3) Can you explain-me aboute how the alarmdebounce and its variants (
LOS, YEL, etcc ) impacts the system perfomance and how

can i fine tune this ?

2012-02-07 Thread Marcio Gomes

Hello All,

I really not understand de APIC changes in IO-APIC- and the
greater 100 Interrupt numbers in old setups.. can you help me ?

I forget to say,

In production BOX, I only do a linux -R newconfig reboot ,

slots , hardware, setup, etc.. is the same.. no changes. It's give me a
confirmation about it is not a hardware issue, the only changes

are in software.

In the development box, a hardware problem iss possible, I will make a
copy of the working software and put in it to clarify this

doubt.

2012-02-07 Thread Marcio Gomes

News from Zaptel..

I patch the last zaptel.1.2.27 to compiles in 2.6.33 kernels series
Surprise !!

 20: 68011 71871 IO-APIC-fasteoi wct4xxp

in zttool the spans are RED, all is working with pre 1.4 zaptel and dahdi.

The problems are in changes between zaptel.1.2.X and zaptel.1.4.X.

I thinking now that is an old issue added from 1.2 to 1.4 branches and
sucessivily to dahdi branches,

and I lost something in past.

But I want go to asterisk 1.8 and greater with new drivers , Can anyone
help me in this ?

regards,

[Asterisk-Users] Adtran TA 750 Channel Bank config

2004-03-11 Thread Marcio Gomes
Hello,

What is the minimal configuration ( Chassi, modules, power supply, etc.
) to connect a Adtran 750 Channel Bank to a second port at TE410P
board, and provide
24 FXS to analog extensions phones ?

- The TE410P first port is will be connected to a ISDN-PRI fractional
with 15 lines.

Is it a good channel bank ?

Are there some problems with this config ( like echo, latency and others
) or this config is like a comercial Digital PBX solution ?

Thanks in advanced ,

Marcio Gomes

I know this has been hashed, and rehashed, but I saw that a few
people had said they were going to release their code soon. Is
there a working implementation of RADIUS for Asterisk out there?
Not looking to start a debate on how bad it is for billing
purposes, thats a given, but I need it for legacy systems.
Thanks,

Derek

Funkiness with the registration process.
As far as pass through goes, from what I understand, it *should*, but when you have licensed binaries, from what I've seen, it doesn't. It's actually used 2 licenses. I plan on figuring that out next.

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] G.729 vs. G.729 pass thru

Hello everyone,

If you don't have Digium card but you want to use G.729 codec, do you need a license for it?

If the VoIP termination point supports G.729 and you are using sip phone (soft/hard phone), can you use the G.729 pass thru or you have to buy the license?

Have anyone test it with SCSI system? Seems like it only work on machine with IDE disk.

Thanks.

Re: [Asterisk-Users] Brazilian Protocol

2004-03-01 Thread Marcio Gomes

Q.462 to Q.478 cover R2. You need to know how it has been modified in
each country too, as nobody quite implements the ITU specs.

In some weeks we will buy 405 or 410 bords if it works with Brazilian
ISDN-PRI,
also we will stop using some E1 trunks..

if anyone is able to port R2 MFC-5C signals to boards, we can keep one
E1 trunk to this tests.

Please mail me in private ( marcio #AT# microlink#com#br ).

Re: [Asterisk-Users] Brazilian Protocol

2004-02-29 Thread Marcio Gomes

You need a R2 converter. R2lib is under construction.

- When in PRI (Primary Rate ISDN), does it support CSS7 DSS1 ?
- Is asterisk pabx enough to implement these protocols o we need
other drivers/software?
- Do you know if any brazilian telco (Telemar, Vesper, Embratel, GVT,
Telefonica, BRT, etc) supports custumers with you hardware?

GVT supports E1/ISDN.

What is the ISDN Sinalization from GVT, I think using PRI Lines with
telco in Brazil, we will have comaptibility with Digium Borads!
Is it correct ?
