I use cheapradiospots.com usually. Mike charges $15 for a page (12
point, double spaced) of dry voice. You'll need to edit it down (I use
Audacity/OSX) into individual prompts.

I'm creating the 1.call file in another directory

running on asterisk and logged into the asterisk console, but see no
activity after the file is copied in the /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing
directory.

You can't *copy* the file into the outgoing directory. You must *mv* it.

Otherwise Asterisk is quite likely to try to process your call file whilst
it is only half created in the directory.

Steve

Remember that Linux and most other Unix variants will treat a move as a
copy if the file's source and destination are on different filesystems.

For example:

/var is /dev/sda1
/tmp is /dev/sda2

If you mv a file from /tmp to /var will result in a cp, not a move. I
use something like /var/spool/asterisk/temp, that way there's never any
concern...

[Asterisk-Users] Anyone interested in NANPA data?

2006-01-05 Thread Stephen Misel

Hi everyone.

I'm trying to load test a FastAGI that sets CallerID data with
information from NANPA. Please feel free to connect to my test server
with Asterisk... you should get back the city/state of the caller.

I'd consider adding CallerID name support if I can find an inexpensive,
reliable source for data.

For reference, this is a multi-threaded application written in C.

Simply add something similar to:

exten = ... AGI(agi://pbx2.miselconsulting.com)

The standard no warranty, use at your own risk applies .. If it breaks
something, I'd be interested to hear about it, though. Since I'm
testing, this might stop at anytime.. but it will at least be up for the
next few hours.

Questions? Comments? Contact me off-list.

Re: [Asterisk-Users] ceptral (swift)

2005-07-20 Thread Stephen Misel

exten = 2,2,system(/opt/swift/bin/swift hello world) should be
something like:

exten = 2,2,system(/opt/swift/bin/swift -n VOICE -p
audio/channels=1,audio/sampling-rate=8000 hello world -o -)

... where VOICE is a voice installed on your system (Frank, David,
etc). -n VOICE might not be needed if you only have one voice installed.

Note - I haven't tried this in my dialplan, but it looks right.

I ordered $700 worth of goodies from Garrett Smith at VoipSupply a few
weeks ago and one of the 7960's arrived without a footstand. He's been
jerking me around for a few weeks now about not having any in stock.
Your email about ordering a 7960 last week was exactly what I needed to see.

Garrett will get another call from me tomorrow.

This seems to be par for the course: You'll get a DID and poof, it's
gone! Nobody answers the phone and nobody responds to tickets.

ASTCC allows for multiple brands and different prices for each. I
believe the CVS version has my expiration and maintenance fee patches
as well.

I use the latest ASTCC version, but I do not see how you can use
different cards / different prices. Can you explain that for me, please?
As I see it:
The routes depend on trunks, but the trunks do not care about the cards.

Hi Ronald.
There should be a section called Brands.
