[asterisk-users] HT488 doesn't disconnect FXO

2007-02-18 Thread Itamar Lavender
Hi,

I have HT488 with it's FXO connected to Israeli PSTN (bezeq) when
dialing to that PSTN line asterisk see gets the call and direct it to
the right extension but if the extension doesn't answer and the dialer
is hanging the call the extension will keep on ringing.
I'm not an expert but it seems like my asterisk doesn't recognize the
hangup signal from the HT488 -or it's the HT88 which doesn't hangup upon
the signal.

this is my HT488 FXO config:
PSTN Disconnect Tone: Frequency: f1 420 f2 420
PSTN Disconnect Tone Cadence:Choice 1: On 500ms Off 500ms

Asterisk SVN-trunk-r48967

could someone please help?

Thanks,
Itamar.

2007-02-18 Thread Itamar Lavender
when directing the calls to the HT488 FXS instead of asterisk it does
disconnect! that's why I believe this is has to do with asterisk in it's
busy/hangup tone detection.

Itamar.

Chances are that the unit does not have proper busy detection. Perhaps
it does not know how the Israeli busy tone sounds like.

And no: Bezeq does not provide any better disconnect supervision.

 Try 400?

[asterisk-users] festival problem using IAX (chan_iax2.c:2995 iax2_read)

2006-11-23 Thread Itamar Lavender
Hi All,

I'm having a problem after reinstalling the operating system.

Festival works fine for SIP, but when IAX users are calling the same
extension they don't hear the festival and I see the next message on
console:

NOTICE[3996]: chan_iax2.c:2995 iax2_read: I should never be called!

I googled and couldn't find a solution, if somebody can help

RE: [asterisk-users] IAX problem

2006-11-02 Thread Itamar Lavender
You are correct, I don't have entry for them to be able and
authenticate!
how should I define it? Should it be a peer or a user?
Could you please add an example?

Thanks a million...

Auth is a 2 way thing - you have sucessfully registered with them,
but when
they send you a 'new' your box fails to authenticate them as it can't
find a matching
user/friend entry in iax.conf.

Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) running Asterisk under
VMWare ESX server on a blade chassis? This application will (fairly
obviously) not include Zap channelsactually, it will be SIP-only.
Please feel free to contact me off-list and I'll summarize for the list
later.
