[Asterisk-Users] Any tool to ease provisioning IAXy?
Hi. I was wondering if someone might be kind enough to share some simple web-tools (i.e. with GUI) that help ease provisioning of IAXy? Be it on Linux or Windows? And how about some sort of management tools via web as well for managing * PBX (both the IAXy and a normal PBX on linux)? Or, is it easy for me to write my own (I know alittle about html pages)? Thanks. ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
Re: [Asterisk-Users] IP to IP call without server?
I'm not a big fan of supporting proprietary soltuions so I'd avoid Skype. However, what about Free World Dialup? Uses common sip clients, they have the new Pulver communicator which supports video, voice, and text chat. Seems like a good solution. What's the diff. between FWD and Skype other than Skype uses proprietary solution? I'm getting a little confused with these softphones and provider companies. I cant tell what's so great of one from the other. Is there something special about FWD I'm missing that make it better than other solution like Skype? [Asterisk-Users] IP to IP call without server?
Hi. I'm really new. I was just wondering if it is possible at all to do a IP to IP call without a * server (or as a matter of fact, any other kind of server)? say I'm at mydomain.com's 10.0.0.1 and I want to call my buddy at hisdomain.com's 192.168.0.3. Is this sort of things possible? Or must we all both be registered with the same server to do that? Can this not be done without passing thru server (*)? Re: [Asterisk-Users] Question on IXAy (IAXy actually)
Yes, as long as your service provider or your own server supports IAX2 protocol... Any comments from anyone? IAXy currently supports IAX or IAX2? The specs say IAX, it didnt mention about IAX2, so, is there a newer version of it or there's a way to upgrade the firmware? Or they dont make a different? ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
Re: [Asterisk-Users] Question on IXAy
So, do I still need to have an Asterisk server connected to my IAXy even after I've made provision for it? Like, can I just carry this IAXy around(after provision) and just plug into any broadband connection and start making voip calls via my asterisk provider server? Sorry for my ignorant. I'm really new. Hermann Wecke wrote on 2004/11/25 11:05: The IAXy is similar to the Sipura 1000 or 2000, or the Cisco ATA 18x... You can use it to connect to a VoIP server with the IAX2 protocol (instead of SIP for the other ATA boxes). ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
[Asterisk-Users] Question on IXAy
Hi. Pardon me if this is not the right place to ask. I'm new to Asterisk. I was wondering if I could use IXAy to forward my call via the internet to my destination, something of similar function to SIPURA 3000? Thank you. ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
