Hi,

Is Fritz the only option really for ISDN BRI (without paying $400+)? I'm
just wondering if there is a more viable, not-as-cheap alternative to
the Fritz cards?

Thanks!
Henry.

Hallo,

anyone with experience with USR Sportster PCI BRI cards with Asterisk?
Also, is there any Digium officially supported BRI card?

Hi,

I have 2.4.29 and 2 fritz cards.
I did install this setup on several boxes now, and it works
great.
I compiled the avm driver that is listed as Suse 8.2 driver
on the avm ftp.
Maybe that is of any help.

You're wrong. I have it running on several kernels, including
2.4.26-29.
To make it work you must change a define in the src code,
dunno remember the right line now, but is easy to find
out reading the compilation errors.

Matteo.

Frtiz is a nightmare although it is cheap and I have seen it
working. I have been trying to install it for some days without success but one
thing is for sure: you have to use the right Kernel (they are available for
2.4.20 and 2.6…something). There are no clear instructions to install it,
other than those found at: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+AVM+Fritz+CAPI+Driver+Install
that I have followed but it seems the code is not correct. I will keep you
posted because I was trying to make it work on kernel 2.4.29 and nothing. I am
installing another box with the kernel 2.4.20 (ftp://ftp.kernel.org).

Hi list!

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with [EMAIL PROTECTED]
connecting to an ISDN BRI line, and if so, could you tell me what
hardware will work well with [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I've been looking at the Fritz!PCI but it seems (though i could be
mistaken) that drivers are only available for SuSE, and [EMAIL PROTECTED] runs
on CentOS.

Thanks for any advice - in case you are wondering, i have successfully
used Asterisk built from source previously, but for sheer ease of
installation and configuration, [EMAIL PROTECTED] is great, so i'd love to be
able to
use it.

Thanks!
Henry Owens.
