Noc Phibee ha scritto: anyone have a answer at this question ? I'm pretty sure the answer is you can't, it makes sense to adjust the gain only where the A/D magic occurs, so you have to tweak your ATAs, you can set levels in asterisk configs only when configuring devices, like in zapata.conf, but no general volume setting exists. I'll anyway be the first interested in a patch allowing to adjust the volume, maybe even realtime, that's because when you route international calls you have to consider different human gains. [Asterisk-Users] Increase transmit volume on IAX channels
Is there currently any way to increase the transmit volume on IAX channels? I haven't seen any documentation for this. I'm getting complaints from the people that I call saying it's hard to hear me. I'm currently using GnoPhone on my computer, asterisk 0.7.2, the Mic volume is at 100%, and the Mic Boost is set using KDE's mixer app. Any information will be helpful. Thanks in advance. -- Christopher Lewis [EMAIL PROTECTED] Office (360) 968-1606 Fax (707) 598-2550 ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users

If the sound levels in a VU look good, then work your way elsewhere. Most likely you have a bad mic position or KDE isn't actually making a difference with respect to recorded volume. -- Steven Critchfield [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users

I just did some transmission level testing between various * boxes, iax, sip, tdm-fxo, etc. The iax link operates at 0 db loss. That means there is no need to increase iax gain. I'd suspect your not getting sufficient audio presented to * by GnoPhone. I don't use that product, so not sure how to address it. ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
