 Any tips on getting this running ? Looked at Mantis, but only known bugs
 seem to relate to XP100 cards - not the TDM card.

To re-iterate it works with Bell tones and US caller-id, but when you
change to UK (and v23), fails with the above message.

In Zapata.conf
channel1
callerid=xxx 123

also fails if setting callerid in the dial-plan.

Using 2 x TDM400 cards, zaptel 1.2.4 and Asterisk 1.2.5

[Asterisk-Users] UK Caller ID with TDM400P

2005-08-26 Thread Graham Kiff
Title: Message

Has anyone here
managed to get UK Caller ID (BT) working
using a TDM400P card?.
I've gotthe latest drivers from CVS, but
can't find clarification if UK caller ID is supported and if so what the
settings should be.

Cheers

2005-07-25 Thread Giorgio Incantalupo

Hi,
we had 3 analog lines but our telco did't pass us the caller-id so
Asterisk tried to identify the caller-id but found bad data. Setting
usecallerid=no avoided the Warning.

Be sure your telco sends you the caller id.

Re: [Asterisk-Users] Uk Caller id

2005-07-25 Thread Wayne

Hiya,
Just as a thought - I have caller ID provided by NTL (cable) and was
getting 'bad data' - turned out that my A and B wires were wired the
wrong way round on my 'home brew' lead. As soon as I reversed them -
worked fine!

Have a go - someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I had the card
wired in wrong and it didn't stop anything from working or being blown
so as a quick test ...

Wayne.

RE: [Asterisk-Users] uk caller id

2004-09-21 Thread Kevin Walsh
Graham Turner [EMAIL PROTECTED] lazily top-posted:
 i have installed asterisk / zaptel from cvs distribution as of 17/09/04
 so i assume this does it

If you have a TDM/FXO then you'll need the latest CVS code. If you
have a X100P then you'll need any CVS (the latest is usually a good
choice) and some patches. I have the X100P running with today's CVS
version and with UK (BT) Caller*ID support.

 have configured zapata.conf as per instruction but i would have expected
 to have seen the callerid on the asterisk console as it receives the call
 but then may be not ??

 the relevant my extensions.conf is ;

 exten = s,1,answer
 exten = s,2,Dial(SIP/1001|10)

 it is quite possible that callerid is being seen by * but i would have
 expected it to have been echoed to the console or at least written to the
 CDR entries ???

There's no need to answer before dialling, btw. The SIP phone's
answer will filter through the system.

Aside from that, the (UK) Caller*ID will only be available if you have
one of the setups described above (TDM with latest CVS code or X100P
with patches).

 going a bit further on, the whole point of this exercise is to allow this
 CALLERID to be displayed on the console of a SIP peer (7940 ip phone) that
 is defined as an asterisk extension

That will happen once you're set up, yes.

 Graham Turner [EMAIL PROTECTED] lazily top-posted:
  i have installed asterisk / zaptel from cvs distribution as of 17/09/04

 If you have a TDM/FXO then you'll need the latest CVS code. If you
 have a X100P then you'll need any CVS (the latest is usually a good
 choice) and some patches. I have the X100P running with today's CVS
 version and with UK (BT) Caller*ID support.

  have configured zapata.conf as per instruction but i would have expected
  to have seen the callerid on the asterisk console as it receives the
call
  but then may be not ??

  the relevant my extensions.conf is ;

  exten = s,1,answer
  exten = s,2,Dial(SIP/1001|10)

  it is quite possible that callerid is being seen by * but i would have
  expected it to have been echoed to the console or at least written to
the
  CDR entries ???

The current method is usecallerid = uk. Of course, you need to
patch Zaptel and Asterisk first. The ukcallerid = yes was used in
an earlier version of the patch.

Re: [Asterisk-Users] UK Caller ID and X100p

2003-09-10 Thread Linus Surguy
 Hi
 I really need caller id to work in the UK, I understand that the X100p
 uses a US chipset,two questions
 1) is that a product that converts UK to US caller id in line

Not really the answer you were looking for, but if you get a line from a
non-BT supplier (e.g. NTL or Telewest) you are quite likely to find that CLI
works.

Hi,

.. or if it is still FSK based, you can try to modify the callerid.c file
and recompile * in order to work with your provider.
See the list archive for details.

Hi
I really need caller id to work in the UK, I understand that the X100p
uses a US chipset,two questions
1) is that a product that converts UK to US caller id in line

or

2) would it be possible to have modem that supports CID in parallel
with the line and the x100p.The modem reads the line and reports the
cid  to asterisk

Just thinking outloud
