Is it the Windows software, or other? I noticed the Nokia E71 mobile
has an option for Cisco IP Communicator (besides the built-in SIP
client)

problems with it saying Error Verifying Config Info.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Sorry, yes it is a Windows Application. I'm running on version 7.0. I have
noted and searched and found people with version 2.0 has been able to get it
working. But getting in touch with those guys is a mission and a half.

Thanks,
D

2009-03-04 Thread Matt Gibson
Have you tried using md5secret, not sure if that will do it - but that's how
we had to get our 7970 registered with freepbx/trixbox - unfortunately they
don' t have this ability built in (yet). I have a patch if you need it,
contact me off list. As a quick test you could enable it in the config file
and restart asterisk without doing anything in trixbox.

Thanks,

Matt G

The version I have is 2.1.2.0. It makes for a really nice software sip
phone:) The other thing I should note is that you only need the
SEPXXX.cnf.xml file and dialplan.xml file in your tftp directory.

[asterisk-users] Cisco IP Communicator with Asterisk

2007-11-08 Thread Anciso, Roy
I'm not sure if anyone has done this before or not but, I was able get
the Cisco IP Communicator soft phone to work with Asterisk using SIP.
Thought I would share my experiences. The key is on the installation. To
have the software use the SIP protocol type the following command:
msiexec /i CiscoIPCommunicatorSetup.msi /qb SIP=1. After installation
configuration is just like configuring a Cisco 7970 hard phone. I used
the configuration instructions outlined by Kerry Garrison at Asterisk
Tutorials http://www.asterisktutorials.com/showproduct.php?ProductID=10.
