Mine, after about 5 days of use stops working until it is power-cycled.
Been a bit of a dissapointment all round really.

I don't know that this is necessary, actually.

If I understood the OP correctly, he's terminating line/trunk
appearances which arrive at his switch analog, so the IP side of a
media gateway would be on a private LAN, and therefore IPv6 would be
entirely unnecessary, no?

[asterisk-users] Digium TDM or SPA-3000?

2006-10-03 Thread R.R. Libera

Hello,

Which analog hardware is the best in quality-of-voice terms? In a
production environment, which one gives more reliability and stability??
Thanks in advance,

A WeCo 2500. Hands down.

Oh, you meant *FXO interfaces*. :-) The SPA is off-bus, right?
Everyone has their own opinion on this, but mine is anything that's not
on the PCI bus is one less device that can hang the processor (or
overload the interrupt controller). It's easier to warm-spare, too.

I'll second it, a unit that connect via switch is much easier to manage
and more reliable than PCI units. I have few Sipuras and they never had
any echo problems.
Since you are just planning it, keep in mind to select something that
will be IPv6 ready.
