While that does allow it to work it is not appropriate in a multi-tenant environment where the same extension could exist in different contexts. Will file a bug for this and the configuration we are using looks correct. -- Thanks, Phil -- _ -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- New to Asterisk? [asterisk-users] Voicemail Forwarding
Currently I am using this in my dial plan to forward calls to voicemail when the phone isn't picked up. exten = 2503,1,Dial(SIP/2503,20) exten = 2503,2,Voicemail([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Some users prefer that just there name gets read at the prompt instead of the unavailable message. So my issue is. The user creates a unavail message and decides they want to use there name instead. The only way I can find to switch it back to name is to delete unavail.gsm from their voicemail box. There should be a prompt in the voicemail admin that allows the user to select what message they want to use (or just a name), and be able to switch back and forth. Am I missing something or is there no way to do this? Thanks. ___ --Bandwidth and Colocation provided by Easynews.com -- asterisk-users mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users

[Asterisk-Users] Voicemail forwarding from SER extensions.conf
I have SER running with Asterisk, both on seperate servers. If I call another SIP number from my SIP phone SER looks up the phone number to see if it's online. If it's not online it forwards the call to Asterisk. How do I configure the extensions.conf file so that calls being forwarded to Asterisk destined for VoiceMail do not conflict with normal outbound calls destined for the PSTN? I have the following which works ok but I can't make outbound calls when this is enabled. ; send caller to voicemail if call is being forwarded from SER ; exten = _.,1,MailboxExists([EMAIL PROTECTED]) ; exten = _.,2,Hangup(); hangup ; exten = _.,102,Voicemail(u${EXTEN}); answer and state unavailable, leave a message ; exten = _.,103,Hangup() ; hangup Bill Dunn ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users

[Asterisk-Users] VoiceMail + Forwarding + Directory Dial by Name : How?
Searched the wiki and googled extensively to no avail. How can the Directory App be used by a VoiceMailMain user to forward a voice mail to another voicemail user and do it by a directory 'dial by name' lookup? Ex. A voicemail system with 1000+ subscribers. One user wants to forward another user but has not idea what their extension or voicemail box number is. ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
