Re: [asterisk-users] names of SIP aware firewalls

I have always been happy with Snapgear units. Most also have hardware based Encryption acceleration for IPSec and PPTP VPNs. As for setting up with SIP, use a VPN, or call their tech support line and they'll help you. Each unit comes with support for setup built-in last I checked.www.snapgear.comTom On Nov 6, 2006, at 6:24 PM, joe a. wrote:An open source firewall:www.ipcop.org lots of add ons, including a fairly new sip proxy:http://mh-lantech.css-hamburg.de/ipcop/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?1847.5I think well of IPcop and the gent who did the add on, but have no experience with that particular one.joe a.___--Bandwidth and Colocation provided by Easynews.com --asterisk-users mailing listTo UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit:   http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users Tom RymesCascade Link Systemswww.cascadelinksystems.com(603) 375-1414"Intelligent technology solutions for small businesses." ___

and for general WRT info:

i wouldnt tuch sonicwall with a 10 foot pole when it comes to asterisk. I
had rules for SIP, in the log it said that the rule to let the packets thru
were met yet it still dropped the packets.

An open source firewall:

www.ipcop.org

lots of add ons, including a fairly new sip proxy:

http://mh-lantech.css-hamburg.de/ipcop/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?1847.5

I think well of IPcop and the gent who did the add on, but have no experience
with that particular one.

Netfilter's SIP connection-tracking module is ready for prime time, and will
be included in 2.6.18 Linux kernels. Early birds can patch older kernels and
not wait. http://www.enterprisenetworkingplanet.com/netos/article.php/3638441

AstLinux has a SIP-conntrack-enabled 2.6.18 in trunk right now. Looks
pretty cool!

Alcatel 610x (discontinued?)/620x. These routers can act as standalone
SIP PBX or outbound proxy to allow phones to register to central registry.
