If you use OneTel, you can make free calls anywhere in the UK for a fixed monthly rate (excluding 0[789] numbers, of course). There are various other flat-monthly-rate providers too. I haven't found any of them that will provide SIP/IAX access - perhaps a VoIP service provider could cut a reseller deal with one of these providers and sell the talk time on the same basis - perhaps with call volume thresholds for business users. -- _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/ _/_/_/_/_/ _/ K e v i n W a l s h _/ _/_/ _/ _/ _/_/ _/_/[EMAIL PROTECTED] _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/_/_/_/ _/_/ ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users

Voiptalk provide an excellent service and great support. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Brian Potkin Sent: 10 May 2004 23:51 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] SIP in the UK On Mon, May 10, 2004 at 08:58:23AM +0100, Gavin Hamill wrote: > http://www.voiptalk.org/ - this is the service-side of "TelAppliant", official > UK Digium resellers. > > I've written to VoIPTalk a couple of times and never got any response from > them, and their outbound calling rates aren't fantastic. The comment on VoIPTalk's calling rates is interesting as I came to a different conclusion. To instance the two main destinations I call, the UK and Spain, as an example, the rates are 1.6p and 2p per minute respectively. This appears to me to be very competitive with other offerings. I've had good experience with their support on the phone too. They know what they are talking about. P.s. Is this the correct way to reply to a thread? I read last week a complaint about how people reply for those with "threaded" viewers. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Chester Sent: 10 May 2004 18:01 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] SIP in the UK At 08:58 AM 5/10/2004 +0100, Gavin Hamill wrote: >http://www.voiptalk.org/ - this is the service-side of "TelAppliant", >official UK Digium resellers. > >I've written to VoIPTalk a couple of times and never got any response >from them, and their outbound calling rates aren't fantastic.
