Hi list!
I have a Centos 4.3 box running Asterisk 1.2.9.1 with FreePBX 2.0.1
I noticed that this setup is keeping a full asterisk log which, after
1
month in production, has already grown to 1300 Mb in size. This is the
log
location : /var/log/asterisk/full
Why is this on by default (I thought it is only used for debugging)
and
where can I disable it or at least have it rotated and gzipped like
with
other huge log files?
Remco,
There are several places to go for info on this subject. First, you
might want to bone up on basic Linux system administration. Do a google
on logrotate and you'll get all sorts of information. Also, check the
wiki for more info on fine-tuning Asterisk:

Happy rotating!
