As always I have some questions about the meaning of certain strings before being able to translate into Danish: Buffer overflow in OGG packet - What is an OGG packet more precisely? And what happens in a "buffer overflow"? Rendering Control-Track Time-Stretched Audio - Please, explain the meaning of this message, and tell me when the user sees it Zero-crossing search regions intersect stretched clip(s). - Same as above: What is the meaning? When is the message shown? using clip handles - What are "handles" in this connexion? Enable audible input Audible input - What is "audible input", and how does the user see that he is monitoring it? invalid packet - What is "packet" in this connexion, and in which context does the message appear? Unable to get lookahead - What is "lookahead"? Failed to calculate correct preskip - What is "preskip"? Thank you in advance for some down-to-earth explanations! The Danish version already IS the latest version and has been for some time, where all the strings are translated. So, please, mail me your individual propositions for changes directly, so that we can discuss them and assure that the language used is consistent and correct in the entire program userface. [Audacity-translation] Four problems with translation
I have found four places where it is either impossible to translate a string, or the translaten string is not shown in 2.0.3 based on the .pot-file from 2013-08-28: Although translated in the language file (AND double-checked for spelling mistakes), these two first lines in the Welcome to Audacity!-box remains in English: Quick Help (should be installed locally, Internet version if it isn't) Manual (should be installed locally, Internet version if it isn't) In File Open Metadata Editor... Open Metadata Editor... cannot be translated When opening the Metadata Editor, the headline: Edit the metadata tags remains in English Use arrow keys (or RETURN key after editing) to navigate fields. remains in English Could someone please correct this, so that the strings can be translated, and so that they are shown correctly in the language, thank you? [Audacity-translation] The last nine questions
Good evening, everybody. With the latest .pot-file from May 31, having removed a lot of (strange) strings, I am now only missing nine to have completed the entire Danish translation. I would therefore appreciate some explanations (again!) on what does the following mean - AND do, because understanding the function makes it a lot easier to translate correctly: - Spectral Processor - Presmooth Time - Note key - VBL - FFT Find Notes - Grabber - Line Time - Smooth Time - Zoom in or out on Mouse Pointer If somebody has the time to explain, the Danish translation can be finished in time for the next release. [Audacity-translation] Translation not possible
Hello, everybody. I have found some dialogues which cannot be translated in Audacity 2.0: 1. In Timer record..., the times are still shown in English, i.e. h for hours and days being in English. 2.
