Hi welshweyr. Unfortunately Silver sword isnt actually accessible yet, it is still waiting on some fixes from the developer, particularly around the map sinse currently while you can hit the direction controls to turn different directions and move, there is no way to tell where you are, which for all practical purposes makes the game unplayable, sinse there is no way to actually know where to go or where youve been and you just endup stumbling around a aimlessly. I have contacted the developer about this, and bought the game myself, and while he was initially quite positive about adding the fixes, (he even created a rtf manual on the silversword site to replace the pdf one with its wonkey tables), he has not yet made the necessary changes to the map, and though I sent him a mail recently to check progress (actually just a couple of weeks ago), Ive not heard anything back which is a shame. really, sites should not 
 be listing this game as accessible, sinse it isnt yet unfortunately, and unless the map (and maybe the chest unlocking), get fixed it likely wont be, though I do very much hope this happens. Regarding the character switching, well its a little clunky but its doable. What you need to do is double tap on where it says a characters name, class etc on the left bottom, and swipe right almost to the center of the screen, then move your finger up or down in small incriments to change order. To rename, swipe all the way right. it takes a little getting used to be it is certainly doable, its just a shame the map isnt so easily fixable. If your looking for truly accessible rpg or stratogy type games for the Iphone, I can highly rcommend A dark room, sort of thing castaways meets exploration rpg, King of dragon pass, which mixes stratogy management of a clan of bronze age people with a magi
 c rpg, (see the database for details), or the very recent star traders rpg, a game where you fly around with a spaceship buying and trading goods, fighting other ships and exploring planets. That is one where the developers have! made some great access fixes which theyve followed through on. I would also recommend the choiceofgames and hosted games titles if you enjoy gamebooks with stats and interactive story type play. Zombi exodous is particularly awsome, and Im told the most recent release Tinstar is a great one. My health is at 500, my attack is at 90, and my fefense is at 60. And the sound test thing is pritty cool. Hi.I gave SL a serioustry last year, and its difficult to get used to navigating in the world. But, it can be done and its quite awesome! I havent looked at the guide yet, but one thing you should have in mind is that if you dont get help on choosing your avatar, youll just walk around as a shaddow! Lol. I should get back to SL again, but I quickly ran out of things to do. I wandered around in different areas, but couldnt find anything at interest at all. It is a shame the map isn accessible since I love tabletop roleplaying games and an IOS game which is literally like controlling a Dungeons and Dragons party was a genuinely thrilling revelation for me. Ok, first of all, I need to say that I am an absolute newbie when it comes to mainstream games.The last time I touched a gamepad was on a Nintendo back in the 90s sometime. Hi,thanks, Ill get the latest update then.Regarding finding the professors table, he didnt say anything about where it is when I played the game as far as I remember. Well, Im afraid I cant say anything about how Netflix works in the UK. I know its $8CAD a month in Canada, and while a facebook isnt absolutely required, it will nag you about adding one every single time you log in until you give up and just let them have it. Though apparently because of strange laws in the United States about sharing video rental data, US members are not only never prompted to add a Facebook, but arent even allowed. If you have an Apple TV, thats the absolute best way to access Netflix. You can use the website directly, but play, pause, and volume controls will not be accessible. I just keep it because of things like House of Cards that arent on DVD at all, and because they *are* cheaper for things I will only ever watch once than a DVD would be, especially when you factor in shipping. For example, I do like Buffy, but Im only ever going to re-watch it once, and I dont have the room fo

The turbo stuff is easy. Just keep mashing on a and moving left and right. Its the shooting section after that I cant get past, since there are no checkpoints and I just take too much damage. This one would be truly awsome if the access is fixed, but thus far the map is just too big a boundery, sinse there is practically speaking absolutely no way to know where you are, where youve been or or where other things are, a situation only compounded by the fact that you can physically turn different directions on the game while moving. The furthest Ive gotten was to the first single fight in the tutorial, and even that took half an hour and far too much pointless wandering. Its a real shame, sinse most of the game, including character 
 actions, managing the inventory, casting spells and talking to npcs is! accessible, but the map is just such a big wall in the way there is no real way around it. I do hope the developer fixes the map at least. The good news however is that while there is nothing else exactly like silver sword or in the same genre (another reason I would love to see the map fixed), there are lots of other great games in the stratogy/rpg/gamebook genre. King of dragon pass I absolutely! think youd love, star traders might be worth a go to sinse that one is really complex. Hi,It definitely helps to be familiar with your controler. So, heres an xbox controler layout:You have to hold the controller so that the grips you can feel are in both hands, so that the directional buttons are on the left, and the face buttons, which are sort of roundish and plasticy, are on the right.From there:The directional pad is on the elft and is used for menus and such. Below the directional pad is an analog stick, which basically does the same thing.On the right is another analog stick, used for doing tag assists by pulling up or down on it. In first person shooter games, this would typically be the stick used to aim a weapon.The face buttons are most of your attack buttons, arranged in a shape of four:At the bottom, youve got the A button. Moving to the left of that, youve got the x button. At the top, is the Y button, and the B button is on the right.You would have also noticed some buttons and trigger

Ive got a problem not listed on the website. I can e-mail the devs if nobody has an answer here.Last night, I loaded, unzipped, started, and was playing the game fine for several instances. I put my computer into sleep, and came back to play. Heres the bug I get.I start the game as normal, and hear the beginning of the intro story with the wizard and all. Right after, The druids words ring in your ears, the story stops and pressing keys doesnt make the game do anything. I hit alt f4, and sappy reads out the rest of the intro story. When its done, the program closes.Ive tried restarting my computer and the game. Hi Aprone,Im not sure if anyone has already told you about that hilarious bug, if not, Im going to do that now.If you have joined a mission, walk over to sub 2 and the leader launches while youre there, youll find yourself outside of sub 1 after you have finished the mission. Chowy, Musicman, some others and I have tested if that happens on the other sub maps too, but only found ourselves being at the specific entrance of each sub map.Since I found loot on the outside part of sub 1 the last time I was there, and its even a part of sub 1, I figured it would be nice to make it the second part of sub 1, as we already have it on sub 3, with its own entrance.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=167426#p167426

Hi ya Violinist, Glad you are liking the game, its been a lot of work for an amateur programmer and sometimes seems like Im never going to reach the end of the tunnel, but were very close now. Regarding your questions: For single player mode, there will only be one opponent. For multi player there can be up to 20 racers at once. Ive considered the idea of variable curves, but I got lots of complaints that RR 1 was too hard to learn as it was, plus for those using keyboard input, which is the majority, it would introduce control issues. Ill look into the non response thing in tag mode, havent seen that on my end, but honestly havent done a lot of testing in tag mode since putting in new code. As for the AI, art still needs smartening up as far as the new power ups go. I try to make the AI do things just as a racer has to, in other words, the game does 
 not cheat for Art, he has to accelerate and shift gears, makes mistakes when jumping, etc. Because of that, it takes a while to balance everything when I change his thought process on new items such as power ups. Bottom line, hell be smarter by the time we go to full release. Thanks for the feedback and questions, hope to have a new patch out very soon. @dark: Yikes! I hate boxes like that. I always wind up taking out all the dvds and putting them in jewel cases of there own, so I can correctly label the case, and then putting them in a decent large plastic box. I just dont feel like those little tiny thin paper half-cases offer nearly enough protection for the discs I paid good money for! Then I keep the original packaging in a cupboard somewhere, in case I want to resell it; all I need to do is take the dvds and put them back in the paper and cardboard, as I have applied my Braille labels to the jewel case, not to the DVD itself or the original packaging, so the re-sail value hasnt been destroyed. Niklas, I am a Linux user, and it is possible to play some accessible Windows games under Linux using Wine but not all. If you intend to use Wine you are going to have some difficulty setting things up because Wine is not real accessible and there are several dependencies that will need sighted assistance to be installed such as Visual Basic 6, DirectX 9.0C, perhaps .NET Framework, Sapi, etc. Then, of course, all of the games you intend to play. However, the problem with Wine is because it is an emulator a lot of games will crash or not run correctly under Wine. You might get half way through a level in Shades of Doom, press enter to open a door, and the game bombs out unexpectedly on you. So truth be told playing Windows games under Linux using Wine is not a really great solution.What I suggest in stead, if you are serious about using Linux, is to get VMWare Player and install Windows in a virtual machine. Things will run a bit slower than on a native Windows machine, but 
 it will be more stable and dependable than running Windows games inside Wine. Theres a map, or maybe its just the wrong part of an existing map, where you are on the outside of sub1. You can walk around, but moving toward the middle of the map is always blocked by a fence sound. You can track all the sub1 beacons, but not actually get to any of them, and there is no loot and no zombies. I only experienced it once, but it was a very odd thing to have happen. I enjoy eating Japanese food. I am still a kid so cant drink coffe and also because of my religious beliefs. Japanese food is good in America only when it is either authentic or if an asian person is making the food. That is not racist. If you come to America, watchout for the knock-off Japanese places that offer California rolls and call it Sushi because there is a high chance that they use low-quality ingredients. In terms of meat, I enjoy steak. I recently went to Ruth Chris Steak House and enjoyed a 12 ounce steak at the age of 14! So if you Dark or anyone of you come to America, get ready to gain a few pounds because you cant avoid it. I would really like to try food from England though. Dark, the issue over firearms is just one of many areas where you guys over in England and we Americans differ. As you may know the second amendment to the United States Constitution grants the right to own and bare arms to any American irrespective of age, race, or disability. There are of course some exceptions to that right such as if someone has been convicted of a crime or that the person is believed to be a danger to themselves or others their rights are revoked by a court of law. However, by and large it is legal for me to strap on a SW .38 or a colt .45 and walk down Main Street of any U.S. city with a firearm strapped on my hip for self-protection. While every American reserves that basic right or freedom most dont do it these days and dont see a need to go around armed to the teeth.Ironically, the main reason that particular amendment came about has to do with issues that arose prior to the American Revolution. Ive never really agreed with their beliefs or official position on a lot of blindness related subjects, but I think I know where they are coming from. Like a lot of institutions they have adopted one and only one official position on various subjects and it is difficult to change their minds on anything regardless if that position is good or bad.The problem with the people you mentioned is they were probably mentally and emotionally weak. As such as soon as the NFB started in with their spiel they ate it up, accepted it , and did what any person does when they dont really have a firm opinion of their own. I myself am pretty hard headed about things, and if I hear something I dont agree with I probably say whatever and blow it off. Well I dont know how many people were hoping this Iphone game would have the last few acess fixes made, but unfortunately its not going to happen. Ive exchanged several E-mails with the developer, and hes pretty adamant not only that the map is unlabellable without two months work, but that there is no alternate way of dsiplaying the information (like the nav menue in Star traders), which would either be less work for him or more efficient. Indeed hes literally unwilling to discuss anything of the kind, which is down right disappointing particularly sinse Ive generally found in the past that most developers who havent had experience with accessible game developement dont usually have realistic expectations of what is necessary, and if you look at what is needed to make the game accessible it is often far less than they think. Sadly though this chap is totally unwilli
 ng to even discuss the matter and just says its too much work without any discussion or in put from vi gamers or those who have far more experience in making access fixes to game s(I suggested he contact Amir Rajan, developer of Dark room for suggestions sinse if anyone is an expert on iphone access its him, hes written some great stuff in his Blog).So if youve not bought the game, dont buy it. GLTech Studio's first release is finally here! Town of Peril Beta 1!

Hello audiogamians,Today I bring to you my latest, which is also my first, project. It is an audiogame called Town of Peril. This originally started as a remake of the popular game danger city, and its evolved so much it barely resembles it now. For now, the beta does not include an actual level system. When the game is complete, I plan on calling this thing the survival mode, but its a good way of demonstrating the new features of the game, including the sounds, the grenades, the knives, the flashbangs, the enhanced throwing, and lots more! Okay. Now in Rudolphia and really stuck... I defeated the orb in the dungeon in the southeastern corner and unlocked the darkness seal. I went into the one in the southwestern corner, which Im guessing is the equivalent to the ruins in the forest... I cleared the first two screens, but the way to the third screen is blocked off by a solid line of teleporters that I cant get past. Any help? Also, Ive managed to defeat both the orb bosses... but am not quite sure of the specific technique. I think it may be one of the following.. but can someone confirm?s p o i l e r sSPOILERS!When fighting the orbs, are you supposed to hit them from behind as that is a vulnerable area? @Tom, while I have always understood that the fire arms thing in the states had some historical basis, albeit I wasnt %100 what that basis was, i confess it has always seemed really loopy to me that anyone on the street could be legally carrying a gun, and that some Americans seem to think its not just natural but necessary! to me that sort of goes in the same category as having no laws about speed limits on cars. Yes, there are parts of the world it happens, and undoubtedly most people are okay and responsable with it, but its not really a society Id feel quite as safe living in on a day to day basis sinse not everyone is either okay or responsable. It also surprises me sometimes that American media protrays the British police as lacking force or never carrying guns. For example I saw that episode f of futurama the other day in which the professor accidently changes time so America never gained i
 ndependence from Britain. Apart from some very atrocious accents, there were vrious jokes about Britain. One was that Bender, Fry and co were running away from the police who then said come out with your hands up,  we cant shoot you because we dont carry guns which is actually completely untrue sinse the police are! licensed to carry guns and shoot criminals if the situation requires it. Indeed, my brother told me once about an amusing loop hole there used to be in British law, which literally said A fire arm may only be carried in a public place by a professional for the extermination of a noxious animal or a police officer in execution of their duty Apparently someone did! actually try to claime in court that sinse they intended to shoot a police officer with their gun, they werent doing something against the law .Getting back to training centers, what you said regarding a rigid approach to training is my principle issue with what Ive heard of the NFb, and what I object to. Ive met too many blind people over here who have been to specialist schools or recieved rnib training nd because they werent quite as stubborn as myself, ended up falling for the idea that there was one, and only one way of doing things. in fairness the Nfbs genral attitude seems far more positive than that of theRnib, however Im not sure on their practical teaching methods and how much room for different styles of learning or ways of doing things they allow particularly with the sleep shades, sinse while I certainly can see cases where they would be helpful, eg, people with degenerative conditions, I can see others where they would be the opposite, as in fact they would be for me. This is also why I wonder if

I got the update yesterday, yet the problem continues.I have no idea what could be causing NVDA to see the objects wrong, or have them displayed wrong, or whatever is causing this problem, but I also tried starting up Window Eyes and it has the same result.I guess Ill hold out on this game for now since Voice Chat was something I believe would have made it interesting; but I do plan on continuing to keep an eye on this client for any information or updates that may resolve this.One more thing though I just thought of while writing this post. My microphone and my sound output device are set as my system defaults. If Radegast uses your system defaults if you dont change the options in the combo-boxes, perhaps I could still use it. I see that there is a push to talk button in this window. Can this be modified? Hi all, after menny delays and weaks of hard work, reality gamings first game, snow race is now ready for public beta testing.Several changes baste on user feedback have been made, including the option to enable or disable game grafics in the options menu, accessed by hitting o in the main menu.Another change is the complete reworkings of the character movement system, so your character now accelerates and turns baste on the board you have selected, as well as the characters max speed.Online is ready for you to test, but it still requires a lot of work. Speaking of that, to advance your character on free ride in online, do a hole lot of tricks, it doesnt matter which, and once you reach the required points for your rank, you will earn an additional 100 dollars for your character that you can use to upgrade your character in the shop.To advance your character offline, play on stunt event or race rally. On stunt event, the trick is to acquire more or equal to the number of points required for your rank, which earns you a cash prize of 100 dollars. 3000 dollars advances you to rank 2, which opens up more tracks and more boards for you. Hello Dark.Well as a programmer I can understand the delays in working on accessibility changes. Ive never worked on anything with graphics but I imagine trying to make a game that relies on graphics work with voice-over and describe the map in great detail is probably very difficult. The developer updates the game regularly but there have been no access changes yet except for some very nice image labeling in the beginning.Btw, does anyone know where I can get the theme music that plays at the beginning of the game? I think its sub1, but we are on the outside. Every map in Swamp has to be a rectangle, but the inside of sub1 is far from rectangular. My suspicion is that when you get stuck in this part of the map, you are viewing the outside of the second floor, seeing the contours of the walls as though you were walking around the hospital looking up at the exterior instead of walking around inside it like normal. I have read through each page on the forems, and cant find reports of these in the latest version. I never found loot there, and I suspect that loot is set not to generate there. My understanding is that loot and zombies never appear where theres no path to them. That is, if there is no possible way for the player to access a set of coordinates, nothing will appear there. I might be wrong, though. Those who did see loot, did you just hear it, or were you actually able to pick it up?
