There again though, youre comparing two different categories of device. An iphone is seen much more often as an essential device for daily use while the 3ds, wii, etc are not. Thousands of blind people saw a need for a phone with a built in screen reader... with the console side of things, noone will see a need... and having accessible consoles is again different from having accessible games, which other developers have to consider. Some developers may see it profitable, others probably wont.. and considering that most game developers of big budget games are big corporations, youd have to have a patition to send each company if you wanted them to consider games that were user friendly.And skullgirls, which is a game that you were thinking, although its called the mainstream game... its actually just as much of an indie game as any other audio game. The team is just bigger, and they got a big name company to publish it. But the reason they added 
 in accessibility was because it was for pc so all they had to do was add a feature to output things to the clipboard which is apparently a feature designed that was already in steam. Im not trying to come off as deliberately contradictory... I just find this an interesting topic for discussion. And for your questions.1. Its hard to say. Most people would say you are wasting time... but although I see many negatives, I also am of the mindset that we never know. I believe enough people have tried and now its an age where things circulate much faster on the web, and this may very well reach somewhere important and start something. So who knows?2. I do agree that Nintendo was doing fine without us, but so were Amazon, Google, Apple, Etc.Lets think of it this way. I dont actually know... not having beat the boss yet. I cant tell exactly what your strategy is, but I do know that most times in fighting games dashing forward is a bad idea unless you know how to go on the offensive properly. Most fighting game players actually dash backwards when a match starts in order to give themselves breathing room and figure out what to do. Ive only watched a video of Munchkin being played, but it looked like a lot of fun. I picked Dominion as my reward, but I wanted a game that worked equally well with 2 or more players. I thought Munchkin seemed like the type of game that needed several players to make it entertaining.Theyre making brailled sleeves for cards. If theres too much text, the plan is to use QR codes. Theyre also creating overlays for boards, but I havent heard any details about how its being done. Theyre even making braille D20 dice. I thought he mentioned 3d modelling, but I dont know enough about it to know how that would work. If you order something from them, I believe it will only be the add-ons that make it accessible. I wasnt sure if this belonged here since its not technically an audio game.There was a previous post here about 64 Ounces kickstarter to make accessibility kits for existing board games. The kickstarter was a success. They raised over twice what they were hoping for. I just wanted to let anyone that didnt know that they have a forum up on their site to discuss any board games that people are interested in seeing made accessible. There hasnt been much traffic there. Hi all,Has anyone beaten this beast of a boss? I suppose I could say beast literally as from what I gather its a replica of The Black Beast created by Relius. I guess Relius modified it to use a multi hit turret, but that is beside the point.I am having trouble keeping up with it when it darts from one side of the screen to the other. While you start on the left at the beginning of the fight, the boss could easily dash/charge immediately towards you and my first action when that fight begins is to charge to the right. Also, does this laser hit on all attacks? As in, should I be looking to block high, standing and low attacks? I know it is anti-air because when I jumped to try and avoid an attack half of my health is gone. Ah, if only I can rely on stereo panning as this arena is huge and I never know where this thing is. The key it would appear is that I have to block incoming attacks from the laser and damage the monster, but the more I damage the monster the more the
  laser damage is increased and I have to try and block it. Either way, the fight is long as hell and sometimes I think Im making progress and it does a distortion drive and the dreaded retry dialogue comes up. Its actually a good way around sinse usualy when you try to get a physical game accessified it requires all sorts of copywrite shenanigans and investment by access companies, not to mention a massive price tag. Ill have to talk to my brother about some of these. Id also love some physical tactile D20 dice. In my weekly mutants and masterminds game, everything runs by rolls of 1 or 3 D20s. I use Gma dice which is fine, but not the same as a physical dice. Back when I first played Dd, we got a set of the largest DD dice we could find and stuck braille on them, but the D20 was just physically impossible to do because the faces were too small (heck the D12 was a struggle), so this is a good thing to have.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=175058#p175058

@fastfinge, I found this girls issue surfaced a lot when looking up reviews and discussion after reading. Though I didnt it deserved this much focus. I mean yes, it can get unnerving and would have preferred the story without the excessiveness but it seems like the only topic that a large number of (vocal) readers remembers the book by, when theres so much more in there. Of course, if this is a pattern that gets more pronounced later, I can understand the aggrevation. There again though, youre comparing two different categories of device. An iphone is seen much more often as an essential device for daily use while the 3ds, wii, etc are not. Thousands of blind people saw a need for a phone with a built in screen reader... with the console side of things, noone will see a need... and having accessible consoles is again different from having accessible games, which other developers have to consider. Some developers may see it profitable, others probably wont.. and considering that most game developers of big budget games are big corporations, youd have to have a patition to send each company if you wanted them to consider games that were user friendly.And skullgirls, which is a game that you were thinking, although its called the mainstream game... its actually just as much of an indie game as any other audio game. The team is just bigger, and they got a big name company to publish it. But the reason they added 
 in accessibility was because it was for pc so all they had to do was add a feature to output things to the clipboard which is apparently a feature designed that was already in steam. Im not trying to come off as deliberately contradictory... I just find this an interesting topic for discussion. And for your questions.1. Its hard to say. Most people would say you are wasting time... but although I see many negatives, I also am of the mindset that we never know. Beware! possible spoilers for 46 part 1.Well with us approaching the end I decided not to wait a month for all of chapter 46 and go with an episode a week. I agree with under pressure however at the same time not a lot of progress has been made towards the plot resolution in that episode unless you count duncan, aka skittles getting sweaty,  and its not even been explained why his sweat makes him  unsmellable to zombies anyway. Also, Lyra gets far too distracted by humans to ever accomplish anything at all in xanth, and thats why all of my challenges were just getting totally derailed by those two. So this morning I started everything again as a Vinyl Scratch and Octavia Melody fic. But then I realized I needed a Pegasus for stuff that needs to happen later, so Derpy Hooves got involved for a while, but it just wasnt working out between her and the other two ponies. Finally, I remembered that xanth itself has a vast collection of flying equines, so now Im going through the xanth concordance, and rereading parts of the various books, to try and find Vinyl and Octavia the perfect tour guide to xanth. But as I continue down this route, Im feeling more and more like using a collection of background ponies is a cop-out, and the fic is going to lose all of its MLP flavou
 r, and be a xanth novel with some vaguely familiar names. Im actively considering restarting everything as a fic where several xanth characters get dumped in Equestria and have to find a way back to xanth. That would let me keep my ponies, and avoid the good magician entirely. The problem is, it would make the entirety of my plot outline totally useless, and I just have no plot at all for a xanth characters in Equestria fic. So, to make a long story short, I have wound up writing 9 chapters, of about 1 words each, and none of them are going anywhere but the trash. Are you starting to see why my writing expeditions never wind up getting published where anyone can see them? Great description by Key. Reason I didnt put up any strategies here is cause I just sorta barreled my way through it and destroyed anything in any order. hahahaha. I did always try and get rid of the energy first though, but since I had a pretty high attack at the time I could kill most things without it having much time to get healed. While xanth is always PG13, if you pick up some of his books aimed at adults, not children...well...lets just say that the book Firefly is most notable for having a detailed depiction of paedophilia...from the 6 year old girls point of view...and both the author and characters involved seem to feel that what happened is perfectly OK, because she liked it. This is another thing that didnt bother me when I was a teenager; I was used to adults thinking they knew best when they didnt, and was perfectly willing to assume that anti-paedophilia laws were more of the same. I just read that scene and moved on. So going and rereading that particular book at 22 was a hell of a shock; I think I actually shouted WHAT THE F***! at the top of my voice when I was on the bus. @sebby: generally, the way I handle it for things I control, and that are open enough to let me do it, is by closing everything up with iptables, and providing a web interface that users are required to log in to. The web interface handles the two factor, and once log-in is successful, opens up, for example, the SSH port, for 10 minutes, to the IP that successfully completed two factor. Unfortunately, this solution is not a good one for IMAP, as most people want access for there phones to check email every 10 minutes. So unfortunately application level passwords are the only way to go. Unfortunately, none of them tie together well, because theyre 3 sets of 3, all at the start of the fic:-- 3 Elements of Harmony chapters, taking us from ponyville into xanth, where the six ponies try and figure out whats going on, and eventually head off to the good magicians castle-- 3 Princess Luna and Lyra chapters, wherein Luna discovers how to open a dream portal between universes, and her and Lyra go through it for no explainable reason, and Lyra gets distracted by humanity and nothing interesting happens. Also, it became a songfic for Henry Mancinis Moon River, and everyone knows all songfics are bad.-- 3 Vinyl Scratch and Octavia Melody chapters that take place entirely in Ponyville, wherein Vinyl isnt as funny as she thinks she is, Octavia is horrified, and oh my God we are never ever getting to the plot so the author just transports the two ponies to xanth when Vinyls most powerful amplifier explodes 
 for no clearly explained reason. Plus one bonus opening chapter involving Derpy Hooves that just winds up turning into a long drawn out set of the worst classical music puns that anyone has ever written in the history of ever.I got nothing written today, because the waterbed mattress sprang a leak and that took up a bunch of life, plus I got distracted and had to watch all of this girls videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MwQx-I8Xxsand now I am unfit to write in English at all.So, yeah.  Im used to having to crank out 500 words within fifteen minutes or so. But what I am absolutely incapable of doing, in anything I ever try to write, is getting my characters to do what I want and follow my carefully crafted plot outline. This probably has something to do with the fact that I crank out character free outlines, and then go and try and find characters I can railroad into them. Id love to change how I think up fiction; unfortunately thats just how the ideas come to me. At this point Im thinking I should just throw up my hands and go and write out that stupid dragnet dream I had a while ago as a ten or fifteen thousand word novella, call it a crackfic, and horrify everyone everywhere. A few things here.First, who would hack a site used by blind people? Hackers, thats who. The harsh truth is, hackers dont know, and dont care, what theyre hacking. If they find a site that has a particular vulnerability, theyll exploit it, not caring whats on the site or who it effects should they decide to have a little fun and delete everything in sight, or should the hosting provider catch wind of their activities and shut the site down. They just want to send out their spam or viruses, or launch more hacks from the compromised server. If theyre really lucky, it might be a retail chain or even a bank, from which they could pilfer lots of hot, juicy customer information and sell it on the black market.Now, on to the site itself. Thank goodness good backups were being kept! I was seeing disaster scenarios where years of irreplaceable audio game information were lost in a second because of hackers or because the hosting provi
 der wiped everything. Thank goodness that hasnt happened.Now, about the real site. Is the audiogames.net domain and related subdomains registered with your web host? If not, and if the web host wont cooperate in whitelisting the site, the obvious thing to do is move the site to another provider, and redirect the domains there.Lastly, one possible strange situation. If they do whitelist the original site, the forum will probably suddenly be available to people, who may start posting, not knowing that this isnt the live forum. Then they may be confused when their posts suddenly disappear when this live forum is copied on top of the old one. For this reason, if possible, it might not be a bad idea to put sticky posts in every room with a subject of READ THIS BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING HERE! or something similar, with an explanation that this is not the most up to date forum, and when the proper files are copied, any posts you make here will have

I dunno really. I do accept that everybody is born a newbie, but I also think the fact that it was a dedicated client had its own special kind of charm. You know, like it is. Still, I think people are better off for being out on the web--theres more on the web, more people including non-blinks, and of course its not centralised. What I dont understand is: why cant we install a simple non-cloaked redirect from forum.audiogames.net to the current audiogamesforum.captivatingsound.com? If the admins could take control of their domain from whoever presently manages it--its unusual for the domain owner to be completely usurped, because a web host will normally resell a registrars services, or be a registrar itself, although it can happen--then they could manipulate DNS and/or registrar-provided redirection services so that the current host can serve forum.audiogames.net. And if push came to shove, they could find another .net registrar on the international market. This would be a very simple change, would have effect right now, would keep the mindset of existing visitors useful, and indeed would inform visitors of the temporary location until such time as it moves back to its new home. If the hoster is smart you could probably even map between the domains, such that links on forum.audiog

Another way to run with Carla with out making her fall behind too far is to hold the control key for a second or so when you think she is falling behind. The control key just makes you walk, instead of run. So, by doing this, your never really stopping, but just slowing down.Im currently on the hard difficulty and want some tips on what other secret weapons i can get. I mean, if people didnt want to publicly say then, can someone please PM me some tips, or steps in getting these weapons.I dont remember exactly what secret weapons i have but i have the Yoyo, Super yoyo, triple yoyo, mini gun, box gun, jump shoes, pull axe.I wanted weapons like, the sky machinegun, the paintball gun, and other weapons that i have missed. Another way to run with Carla with out making her fall behind too far is to hold the control key for a second or so when you think she is falling behind. The control key just makes you walk, instead of run. So, by doing this, your never really stopping, but just slowing down.Im currently on the hard difficulty and want some tips on what other secret weapons i can get. I mean, if people didnt want to publicly say then, can someone please PM me some tips, or steps in getting these weapons.I dont remember exactly what secret weapons i have but i have the Yoyo, Super yoyo, triple yoyo, mini gun, box gun, jump shoes, pull axe.I wanted weapons like, the sky machinegun, the paintball gun, and other weapons that i have missed. Sorry for the double posts but,@assault_freak: On stage 15, you are suppose to just kill the helicopter. When it goes up really high, you are suppose to just evade its bombs, and be careful, because it can do this thing where it picks you up, and takes you up really high, then it drops you, then you die.The best way to defeat the helicopter is to use a shield to help you get through his machinegun, and then get near him, and throw a limeball. Hi,@kantorlot, regarding the finale, and other show elements so I think this calls for the thing we normally do here regarding spoilers, see below:spoilerspaceJust so that it gives anyone time to stop reading as each letter is read on a separate line.Anyhow, I really liked it. I have also seen the episode entitled Leap of Faith, and heard about the key arc so I used the wiki for now but will go back to the actual episodes later. I got back from Tenereef and noticed the finale was being discussed so I thought Id just watch it, and interestingly all you really needed to know about were the keys. I liked the flashbacks and the uncertainty at points surrounding discord, and I wondered if they might have made him evil permanently, but luckily they didnt. The villain and battles were also nice! It also had some really cool songs in this one, Youll Play Your Part
  was my favorite of the two while Let The Rainbow Remind You was a nice little upbeat number. I actually really like Daniel Ingrams music, and I recently listened to some littlest pet shop songs, and songs like Chez Paris from that show have a real disney feel. Ive now got even more respect for Ingram, I enjoyed the Pony stuff but hearing stuff from Pet Shop and hearing how its just as good, well, its just really cool that someone in the industry knows how to make really good, listenable songs in shows marketed more for children, whos songs usually seem to be more annoying to listen to. In fact I enjoyed the music so much I purchased the second Pony soundtrack which has Apples to The Core on it, and I usually avoid soundtracks like this accept for Disney. I think this shows how great the music is, at least imo. Usually I buy film soundtracks, some game music here and there, some rock, and I got for a lot of the Disney stuff

I think youre thinking the wrong helicopter... the one in stage 15 doesnt drop containers that can pick you up. It fires at you on an angle. Thanks for the tip though. I learned about that drop the hard way. hahaIm also curious about the secret weapons... has anyone been keeping a complete list?
