As far as situations where I require multiple voices, there are situations where something gets blinded, and I need an alternitive voice to immediately speak over the main voice, without interupting it, to tell me what was just blinded. Same goes for when a sleep spell is casted on something. I also have a half-baked script that triggers when a group of enemies enters the room, and simply speaks how many there are.

Well to be honest, at the time I purchased my license for VIPMud, I only really knew one other blind mudder, and he was using JMC, which didnt seem terribly great. So not having any awareness of anything comparable to VIPMud, and recognising the significant value Id already obtained from the product, and knowing I would contiue continue to use it your for years, I paid the $35. Since then, VIPMud has costed me the exact same as any other client. That is, continuing to use VIPMud costs $0, and switching to any other client costs $0.If I had known back then about these alternitives you speak of, then perhaps I might have switched, but as is, I cant imagine any other client being significantly better, since in all my years of using VIPMud, the only problem Ive had is with its lack of a timestamp function, which Ive been able to emulate fairly well.Pray tell, what do these other clients do better than VIPMud?

Im not attempting to burst a

I would be interested in hearing a staff response on this.Lastly, is there a backstory somewhere detailing how humans left Earth, got into space, and got to this point, a sort of timeline of events? unfortunately, None of These Solutions fixed the Problems. i still get unknown, blank, pain, and short titles of Windows and Areas of the Screen which are only displayed partially, then NVDA attaches 3 dots to it and stops reading them.

Id just like to second Afrims Samsung recommendation. Im a very happy S4 user since last year and I think the software and hardware do just enough to be much better than Any nexus device. If you compare the accessibility menu of a Nexus and a Galaxy phone, you get a lot more features. The ones I personally really like is dark screen, which completely turns the screen off and direct access which is like tripple-click home on android. The apps are much more accessible, probably the best example of this is the camera and gallery. The camera app announces face detection results for you so its much easier to take pictures as a blind person, and the gallery app just works, as in, on Nexus devices talkback sees a blank screen, with Samsung you can go through your albums read the file names, etc. Also, in the messages app if you get a message that has attachments, with every other phone the buttons used to access them werent labeled, on Samsung they are so yo
 u can see if its an image, audio or something else and where the playback controls are. Outside of accessibility specific stuff the phone also has a lot of awesome features on its own. For example there is a feature that detects when you pick the phone up from somewhere, and if you have missed calls or messages will give you a suddle vibration so you dont even have to unlock it. It also has stereo microphones so you can get better recordings out of it.

Simba, the wrestling games I mentioned, Piledriver and Wrestling League Simulator, were fully accessible text based games. They were for the most part menu driven. Youd be given a list of menu options from which you could select the type of move you wished to perform on your opponent. Both games used a basic stats system to determine your chances of pulling off say a bodyslam or how fast he would recover from the move if it succeeded.As for the games running on XP that is correct. They still work fine on XP because it has 16-bit backwards compatibility support. Its just the newer 64-bit operating systems and processors that can not run older MS Dos games and applications without an emulator etc.SLJ, I appreciate the suggestion, but frankly put writing an accessible Dos emulator from the ground up is a titanic task. One Im not personally willing to invest much time in as there isnt enough value in it for me. I already have one accessible Dos emulator
 , Dosemu for Linux, so for me there isnt any urgency or pressing need to write a new one for Windows users. Besides, that is really missing the point of what I was aiming to do.My point of rewriting some of our favorite Dos games is to get rid of the need for emulators, virtual machines, and all that other jazz. In other words if someone wanted to play a game just install and run it like any other standard Windows application. Why spend the time and effort creating and then running an extra piece of software that is not entirely necessary?Blindncool, when I mentioned Python in my original post it was only meant as a suggestion rather than anything definitive. As for myself I would probably rather write the games in C or C++ than Python, but I suppose Ill decide on the technical details if and when I decide to write any games for certain. The point here though is dont take my mentioning of Python to be concrete and think of it more as a suggestion.

I think its a physical hdd problem, though theres no way to check which is disappointing... I could finish the playthrough on my windows 8 laptop that has a faster drive, but the problem is that I havent been able to find a way to record myself and the game at the same time. Since you have already bought VIP mud, there is probably not much reason for you to switch. The argument I was trying to make was for people to not have to spend so much money to buy it, but since you already spent this money, that point is moot, unless GMA Games plans to charge you to upgrade, which I highly doubt. There is nothing really wrong with the client; all the features work pretty well anyway. And the scripting is probably easier than in most other clients, which interface with popular programming/scripting languages. For example, mushClient uses lua, vb, perl, python, php and a couple others, and monkey Term uses some kind of xml thing. I am generally not a fan of proprietary scripting languages, which might also slant my decision. I do know that VIP mud scripting is easier, but the effort involved in learning another language is just kind of...unproductive to me. GMA would do better to spend its time on games that dont already have a fairly saturated market like 
 Tank commander, in my opinion.

Well, probably for everyone who bought VIPmud it will be more paying in the future to upgrade LOLThe same as with other things, pyaing to upgrade shades of doom 2.0 which is... well, nothing interesting at all.I expected really 3d experience as it should be in the FPS style of games with really orginila HQ sound design. Ofcourse many of the sounds are taken from commercial games like zombies from resident evil 1. Older version contained zombies from game called Nightmare creatures, great old school hack  slash.VIPmud is good, but if there will be option to switch to something better plus much much more cheap ill jump for it immediately. I tried MUSH but what pushes me away is mushreader plus need to using mouse to read the screen. Ofcourse, theres read only edit field but... jumping to it using CTRL plus tab where its not really read only, cause you can type there. I expected easier method, like perfect one from VIPmud - If i am start to
  typing something in read only field, its automatically switching to the edit field.

@Sebby, yes, i am a luddite and hate all this modern technology:D. Really,, just because I dont have any interest in playing with technology for its own sake and see little practical bennifit in modern windows doesnt mean Im some sort of caveman, I just believe an upgrade should do more than the previous version, not just have a less convenient interface and buggered compatibility. Frankly if microsoft had done their job properly as they eventually did with the upgrade from 9x to xp there wouldnt be an issue.I can see the point of the intigration when it comes to things like operating your mac with your Iphone or Ipad, but a lot of the transfer stuff just doesnt make sense to me when it could be done just with a usb stick and propper indexing by files and folders, (particularly for media but also for documents), heck in terms of intigration my victor is actually far better than the Iphone ever was sinse I can just stick stuff where I like
 , navigate and play it as I wish. Im also not exactly sure what you mean about Icloud, sinse on an Iphone at least you can only use the drive system with authorized aps, meaning you dont have a file system, just various aps uploading their documents, data, media etc to the cloud, rather than being able to organize stuff yourself, though i confess sinse Ive abandoned Itunes and havent really looked seriously into document handling or word processing on an Iphone its not something Ive spent huge amounts of time over. I have however used the Icloud for backing up all my phone data, which im pleased about sinse it means that I do not need Itunes anymore, but if i did buy a new Iphone in the future (which I will when it is worth me doing so), there wont be a problem missing all my contacts, aps etc. Regarding Siri, while I have all my aps layed out in as close to a folder structure as possible (although I do find the drag and 
 drop interface for folder creation rather annoying and hit and miss), I do find Siri useful for that sort of thing, I also like it for phoning specific people when i cant be bothered to go through my huge contacts list. Regarding privacy, I dont mind saying phone my brother or phone caroline in public sinse people wouldnt necessarily know who either of them was, heck you get as much info from overhearing any phone conversation in public, but Id not want to give a full name. The only problem with Siri is spotty net coverage, and also occasionally noisy environments, though i have used it on the bus before, albeit not a very crowded bus. @Cx2, with batteries Ive also noticed if your travelling in a car battery life can go quickly. I was playing mecha ace (one of the choiceofgames titles), on a lng car journey and was quite amazed how much battery got used up, indeed sinse the journey was nearly four hours I ran 
 the phone down to about 20 percent. That being said, I forgot to switch to aeroplane mode on the way so likely the 3G signal was taking up a good amount. I therefore would certainly be interested in more battery life on another model, though as I said whether it justifies the cost I am not sure.

As someone who studied C++ I took one look at the scripting in MushClient and thought, oh crap. Yes VIP is relatively expensive for what it is but it lets me concentrate on the game rather than the scripting which I value, and learning to script in VIP was lewss effort than learning LUA or similar for Mush and I just couldnt be bothered with that.Trek 2000 is indeed free. Final Conflict has some interesting changes compared with Trek 2000 but it actually omits a couple of features like the mines and self destruct functions of Trek 2000, theres also a few bugs in Final Conflict or at least were last thing I knew and an issue involving cloaked enemies where they wouldnt decloak to attack you if they only had one or two ships left so it was impossible to win. The big difference of course is that Final Conflict is in the era of the TNG movies with sovereign class ships, apart from the Defiant of course, while Trek 2000 is in the original series era with consti
 tution class ships, fewer bugs and slightly better balance between the races.

If you made an accessible emulator, then the problem of tweaking everything to work and finding special packages and addons and such would be solved for the user, so would the issue of not wanting to rewrite the bigger, and much more popular games.I think youd have way more luck doing that.

Phew! There are a lot of things for me to say.First of all, and I never used this word for any audiogames yet, this Christmas game is beautiful! The best Christmas audiogame Ive ever played! However, I discovered it a little bit too late, in other words, yesterday. But I really enjoy playing it and will definitely play it a lot during the next Christmas season, should there be no better alternatives. Secondly, I also made a playthrough, without any voiceovers during gameplay. However, theres a short message of mine before the boss fight.Grab itright here!Last, but not least, I was looking through this giant thread, seven pages, and was a bit frustrated after finished half an hour later.There were the same questions asked by multiple users several tim

Especially the question how to defeat the boss has been asked like 7 times and people tried to give them clues multiple times, the full clue on how to defeat the boss was announced at least three times or more. In some cases, it wasnt necessary at all, since the last time the clue was announced was just a few posts earlier.This makes threads like these grow like nothing else, somehow I can understand those who are not going to flip through all seven pages, but after two pages, which should still be okay, people already start asking already answered questions, because they dont even feel like reading through two pages. I did not read every single word, especially because I got fed up with doing this throughout seven pages, but at least, after just a few minutes, I got the hang of what you were talking about the first two pages and would have had the chance to catch up with you.The question about the boss should be cleared up now, it was mentioned at least 
 once on the last few pages, even on page 7, I think.Now we cant do too much about that anymore, but in the future, Id really recommend you to look a bit deeper into the threads, before just jumping into the discussion without you actually really know what has been discussed already and what not.And you dont need to double-post, why else do we have the option to edit our existing posts? And just doing it so the thread is at the top again, is not always an excuse. If I would have some news about a topic, it would make sense then to double posts, if the thread has been disappeared somewhere at the bottom of the forum, so people can acknowledge the news you have.Thanks in advance, and a happy new year to all of you!

Yep, Moffat really did! stuff all Russel T davies plot up those cracks in time, that is actually not a joke, one reason why we dont get mentionnns of torchwood, the destruction of parliamentt, earth invaded by Daleks etc, heck even the masters previous appearence was only a throwaway line of dialogue with no consquence (not really the way to talk about a timeline that potentially destroyed most of humanity). I actually find it ironic that Moffat at the moment is treating classic who as this set of sound bights, that writing I chesterton on screen, or having a metabelis christal will keep the fans happy, and yet he seems to be doing just the same with the Russel T davies era as well, having no consequences beyond the odd line of dialogue. indeed, the only species from Russel Who I can think of that Davies actually used (other than the Daleks and cybermen which are a central part of who anyway), were things from episodes he himself wrote, i
 e, the weeping angels and the clockwork robots from girl in the fireplace. Even the Ood only showed up in an episode by Niel Gayman. Regarding the time war, the impression i always got from the Doctors hints about the fall of arcadia and the nightmare child was that it was that it started with conventional battles, but then things escalated beyond the levels of reality, indeed the tenth doctor confirms this in End of time, talking of people going back in time to rewrite the consequences of battles then rewrite the rewrites, then rewrite the capability to go back etc, etc. The Moment I always personally imagined (and still imagine in my moffatless verse), was something amazingly destructive that hada transtemporal effect, rather like a bigger, badder and infinitely more destructive version of the Dalek time destructor seen in the Daleks master plan, a weapon that could accellerate time across an entire planet and cause it to become a wasteland devoid of life
 , like aging people to death in seconds. I always imagined the moment was something like that, but on a much larger scale, heck perhaps it was the moment that caused the timelock on the war, giving erevocable consequences, not just a big planet bomb that mmm, caused the daleks to destroy each other with friendly fire, silly, silly moffat! .

That reminds me.If the seventh and eighth Doctor books are not in the same continuity than most of the Big Finish Audios, how and when did Romana II leave E-Space?I mean, there was a seventh Doctor book where Berniece Summerfield and the seventh Doctor came back to the planet in E-Space where the fourth Doctor destroyed that master Vampire.The book was a Sequel to that Story.And since we are talking about it, how can from a Story Point of view Big finish use Bernice if the travels with the seventh doctor never happened in Audio verse?About the new Who:That is why I wondered why the Doctor was so sure that he was the only time Lord left (before he met the master).And even if the time war was time locked, previous visits of other time Lords should not be erased.If for example the current doctor traveled to a planet where he was never before and met a previous incarnation of the master there, this would still have to happen.I mea
 n, the Moment did not erase everything which was already part of the web of time.And even if that is ignored, I cant think that all time Lords where on Gallifrey when the Moment might have been used to destroy Gallifrey.Then the Doctor would have been not truly the last time Lord.You could have other time Lords leaving the Primary universe before the destruction, you theoretically had E-Space to hide, or you could have done what the Master did, turning himself into something not time Lord and running to the end of the universe.And regardless of how it would have been actor whise, I really cant think that the ethernals and the Guardians would allow that the war totally destroyed the universe.And when the tenth Doctor and Rassilon had their finale, there should have been other powers like the Guardians ready to stop the time Lords returning, except the Events of End of Time were a fixed Point in time.

Ive considered it, and it would be an interesting discovery if studied, but Im not sure 100% of the correlation.I have trouble with some visual processing. For example, I have face blindness, which means I cant remember peoples faces, usually I come up with a coping strategy to work around this. Also Im photosensitive although that may be due to the damage I inflicted on my eye in the past. Overly complex visual stimuli is very uncomfortable. To compensate for a lot of these things, I have to learn through listening and working with my hands - I have tremendous difficulty by learning through watching or just reading; I had a lot of trouble with teachers since most teachers present things mainly visually and sometimes almost completely cut out working with your hands completely. I realized that Im not even really attracted to people sexually based on their appearances, so maybe my brain is wired strangely because of sensory iss
 ues or something (I thought I was ace for the longest time thanks to that...)Even as a kid I taught myself how to do most things with just my hands and not to watch myself visually since I just learned better that way but I notice that I have trouble accommodating for if I need to use a visual reference, for example most sighted people dont usually have the accidentally shift your hand across the keyboard and type gibberish problem but I do and I know blindies get that shit sometimes too. @Theo... there is a point to that. I dont disagree that the game would be a good way to start a conversation. Just not personally the way I would do it, since sighted people like to see what theyre being shown. Both ways would work though, and either way I think a Goalball game is still something that should be tried... and it would definitely give sighted people the experience of the sport without any visual aid, the way its supposed to be.

Just wondering if anybody else had this happen to them:I logged into swamp today, for the first time since the version change past 3.4.I found myself in the middle of the cafeteria on sub1, with about 90% health, a bunch of bloodies and no armor on.Further, there was a rather large swarm completely surrounding me, and about three seconds later they attacked, leaving me dead before I could even think about switching weapons.Rather desperately hoping this was a bug, I logged in again, but apparently itd counted as a death, and my full set of stuff (that means all weapons, accessories and full high armor) was gone.My only guess is that the server put me on sub1 because that was one of the last places Id visited before the shutdown, can anybody else confirm strange map placement and/or other unfortunate events on initial login?

I mostly use Syri for sending quick text messages, often when Im just around the house so privacy isnt too much of a concern there, its not something Id want to write off completely.iCloud drive is a new feature in iOS 8 and yosemite which effectively makes your iCloud storage space act like a drive, as Sebbie says in a similar manner to dropbox, so its like having a constantly connected USB drive.As for XP, the problems there are lack of support for newer technologies and lack of security updates regardless of the interface changes MS loves pushing on us all. Support for serial ata hard drives in XP requires additional drivers which is quite the cludge since it makes reinstalling should it ever be necessary a bit of a nightmare, and new hard drives are serial ata as standard nowadays. Im also not certain about XP and support for USB 3, as well as newer wifi technologies. Most of all though your browser is vulnerable, and in ways a
 ntivirus or firewall software cant necessarily help with. I made the move to 7 rather reluctantly and over time Ive actually come to like the new start menu, the integrated search function was irritating at first but I slowly learned to appreciate it.If youre at all concerned with privacy or security, including any personal or financial information you enter into web sites, XP is just a losing proposition.

I was told to not go after it by the developer because there might be a critical bug in either the usage of the weapon or finding or getting might be not working correctly.I have all currently known weapons except the javelin and I beat all game modes a while ago after months of going through all of them.

@slj the amount of playable content hasnt really changed. I did put in some sounds and, most importantly, I put in the library interface for those who are interested in reading world lore. I mostly spent my coding time working on the flag processor, which, sorry to say, doesnt really change much for the gamers.

Just attempted a new game to see if that would alleviate my boredom, making a copy of my save file first in case I decided to go back to it (and because I have big plans for Eliza in the Saffron gym). Now I know why I will never pick Bulbasaur. Flying Types and Fire Types kept killing him and Leech Seed did basically nothing. *glowers* Having a break now because the Pallet Town music is swirling in my head and there are things I can and should do besides play Braillemon.

I can see the logic behind the dvorak layout, sinse the reasoning for qwerty is true and it is likely not! the most efficient layout in terms of motion. The problem however is that ceribral retraining usually trumps extra convenience for most people, especially blind people who have learnt to touch type on reflex. I am usually around 150 wpm, and can push to over 20, (though accuracy can go at that point). Often I do not even think about what motions I am making, indeed Ive been known to have to slow down in order to let the keyboard catch up with me just because Ive been touch typing for such a long while. I even once lost my voice and was able to carry on a normal conversation by having supernova read the words I was typingg as conversational responses, which wasnt that much slower than normal talking speed (it was slower, but not by over much). So, while I dont disagree on the logic of dvorak, and while if some
 one was learning typing it might be better to teach them dvorak than qwerty in the long run, at the same time Im not convinced for me it would be as helpful sinse likely the inconvenience of brain retraining would be more of a pest than the eventual bennifit of dvorak use. Btw, I wonder if this is because when I was first taught typing, I was 9 and learnt at my specialist school at the rate of two letters per week, on an electric type writer, then when I got my first laptop three years later,I thought it was awsome!

Ill check out battle zone--yeahAs for swamp, already done that. topspeed3 is what Im going to do this Sunday (check out the schedule I provided to see some future eps I plan, its in post 23). As for mainstreem games, unfortunately not, as I cannot see to play them. But perhaps I could let Danny do a few eps if he wants to and he can play some mainstreemers? Hmm dont know. As for muds, I will look into putting some of those into the cast. alteraeon is already going to be featured on February 1, for a start.

@Dark, Yes indeed, a luddite.  I now have Win7 installed with the intention of liking it, because I really see no choice in the matter. I have Classic Start on standby, in case the Win7 Start Menu is really as yucky as I remember it. But weve had this discussion before. Yes, youre right that apps are required to use iCloud, the critical difference here being that, essentially, any app can use any data, and there is no longer restriction of apps to their own data. That is quite a big change, despite the obvious potential for evildoing, it is a big improvement on the past situation, even though many people solved the problem then by essentially using a single app as their container. Its no different to Dropbox, only now you have nice integration across the f
 ront. And, in a remarkable show of deference, the same features that iCloud uses to achieve this integration are now made available to other so-called Storage providers, which in theory means that you could keep it all local if you chose, without using any cloud, if the app provided networking--possibly even networking compatible with XP. But like you said, it seems youve found your comfort zone so this probably isnt something that would attract with sufficient strength. Im not using iCloud for docs only by choice, but Ive now encountered several cases where it wouldve been damned useful, not least in getting data from my email accounts onto a new computer quickly, think registration keys and dongle patch files. But since I use iTunes and dont know of a local-only cloud transfer app yet, it hasnt been worthwhile to use iCloud just for the organisational benefits.

Greetings, I am seeking help on lambamoo. I have recently got a core and have been trying to get set up. I got it up and running on my server was able to connect to it fine, but when i try to log in as #2, which should be wizard it asks me for a password. so i went searching on the net.I found many things saying the same thing. run in emergancy mode and change the #2 password. so i did the following.../moo -e core.db core.db.testit started up in emergancy mode. and then i did the following.;#2.password = crypt(new_password)it came up with = (and then a random set of letters and numbers)i then quit.i relaunch the moo and still can not sign in with the new password. can some one please help me. what am i doing wrong. is there another way to get around this problem.i have searched and searched and every time it comes up with same thing emergancy mode. please help.

What sort of funfair is that? Whoever is running must seriously be psychotic or something.Lightning power: the house, well that must either be one crazy enchanted house that wont die (as in, you level up and it gets stronger) or its an army of houses. Phew! There are a lot of things for me to say.First of all, and I never used this word for any audiogames yet, this Christmas game is beautiful! The best Christmas audiogame Ive ever played! However, I discovered it a little bit too late, in other words, yesterday. But I really enjoy playing it and will definitely play it a lot during the next Christmas season, should there be no better alternatives.Secondly, I also made a playthrough, without any voiceovers during gameplay. Especially the question how to defeat the boss has been asked like 7 times and people tried to give them clues multiple times, the full clue on how to defeat the boss was announced at least three times or more. In some cases, it wasnt necessary at all, since the last time the clue was announced was just a few posts earlier.This makes threads like these grow like nothing else, somehow I can understand those who are not going to flip through all seven pages, but after two pages, which should still be okay, people already start asking already answered questions, because they dont even feel like reading through two pages. I did not read every single word, especially because I got fed up with doing this throughout seven pages, but at least, after just a few minutes, I got the hang of what you were talking about the first two pages and would have had the chance to catch up with you.The question about the boss should be cleared up now, it was mentioned at least once on the last few pages, even on page 7, I think.Now we cant do too much about that anymore, but in the future, Id really recommend you to look a bit deeper into the threads, before just jumping into the discussion without you actually really know what has been discussed already and what not.And you dont need to double-post, why else do we have the option to edit our existing posts? And just doing it so the thread is at the top again, is not always an excuse. If I would have some news about a topic, it would make sense then to double posts, if the thread has been disappeared somewhere at the bottom of the forum, so people can acknowledge the news you have.Thanks in advance, and a happy new year to all of you!

We would be doing typing exercises in class, and if the teacher saw us looking down at the keyboard, he would reach over our sholders, and hit a keystroke to restart the typing software. So if the average sighted qwerty user only needs two weeks to learn dvorak, I wouldnt think itd be much different for a blind typist, especially considering blind people are generally more accustomed to memorisation.I am usually around 150 wpm, and can push to over 200How do you measure your typing speed?

@Dark: actually, some of the iOS 8 features help with integration of Windows, although 7 and above, and also work across iOS devices. Since I have an iPod Touch, that helped, even though I didnt upgrade my Mac to Yosemite, which wouldnt be helped by it anyway even if I did because it lacks the requirement of Bluetooth LE. I realise youre _determined_ to remain in the dark ages, but iCloud drive in particular is one feature you could stand to benefit from if its all about sticking with the USB file transfer paradigm and you need freedom of file/folder naming on your iPhone. Having said that, its probably not enough to persuade you, since after all you have an audio player now and dont like Win7.@Grryf: the camera is exposed, but its behind a lip, which makes it flat. Check it out, it might be for you.I no longer use Siri for privacy reasons, since Im starting to handle other peoples contacts. I honestly dont 
 miss it nearly as much as I thought I would--it is, after all, a gimmick, albeit one which blind people would naturally be drawn to and that which would help us do things quickly, it isnt that much of a substitute for the real apps, except in such a small number of cases that its not worth having. Learn to use handwriting and braille input from iOS 8; theres much more for you there IMO, especially when it comes to launching apps which was my primary motivation for using Siri once they introduced that feature. Most of the crashing issues have gone away with the latest beta, too, so the trick of asking Siri to turn VO off and on again should disappear, too.

The difference betweenwhile(true) {functions(5);wait(5);}andwhile(true) {functions(fps.delay);fps.tick();}Is minor when youre doing something simple. You can go ahead and do it the first way, if you want. The only real advantage to the second way is that it attempts to keep frame duration consistent.But in the end, your game objects will need to know how much time has passed since they last did anything. It can be done with timers, but the more it looks like what Camlorn described, the easier it will be in the long run.

This is a bit OT:One additional thing about VIPMud scripting is that all the VIPMud help files are in .chm format, which I often find to be a much superior form of help than online help forums, or whatever windows has as their new default feature. Unfortunitly, these old-school help files in .chm format seem to be going extinct. does anybody else lament the decline of the .chm?

Hello. First, when it appear something about taxy intentions, it means that you dont created a proper flight plan. What I can suggest to you is that. Create an IFR flight plan with following parameters. IFR plan with high altitude. Also follow the instructions for creating the fly.flt file that also is needed to fly. The flt file includes weather, time, date.

Well, I look forward to see the update to Tank commander.VIP mud is not my thing, not because I dont like the program, but simply because when I play muds, I dont need all those advanced features. I would have paied if it wasnt for the hardware based registration which I really dislike. But a free client which just speaks the incomming text by using NVDA is what I need and nothing more.Lone wolf, well... This is still a good game which I really should play some more. But I would like to see GMA games either upgrate this game to an online based game where you would earn money for completing the missions, and play with or against other players. If the new update is gonna cost any money, then Ill not think about it one single second. But if this is a free update, then Ill find my old licens and update it.I would love to see GMA Games come out with new titles, but I also respect them for updating their games to the newer operating system

You see, Dark? Determined. The security thing, while overstated, is important if you actually want to guarantee the integrity of your property. Since its a simple matter to put XP into a VM and reduce the risk by not exposing anything untrusted (USB, network) to it, why on earth wouldnt you? The utility of XP remains, even when its not running in full-screen and low-latency virtualisation software. In fact, Id even go as far as to suggest that virtualisation makes XP shine. Even the fact that it has long-since received its last patch is something of a relief, since I always hated using Windows Update. But running it on physical hardware where you can make no such guarantees is out of the question. Well, unless youre you, of course.  Your other 
 precautions with your finances are very sensible and are really solving the problem at the root cause, so I find it hard to understand why you dont take the same approach with your system software. Unless you close up all potential avenues of attack, your XP machine is quite simply vulnerable to an obvious source of threats, namely, anything that Microsoft has not patched. In your case the consequences of that would be particularly terrible, because you use Internet Explorer as your primary browser. Is it worth the risk? Would you rather not have peace of mind? Perhaps its time to learn Firefox and Thunderbird and stop using any high-surface code from Microsoft such as IE or Outlook Express, if you will not leave XP for your primary machine. IMO, a patched system is one less thing to worry about, regardless of whether or not you can run an unpatched system safely. But the ball is ultimately in your court.So in summary: its not actually wrong to be sceptical 
 about security alarmism, but it may very well be unrealistic to depend on security by obscurity as a strategy.For the email thing, the idea is that you install the client software and now anything you have access to on iOS such as the text of emails can easily be saved to iCloud drive, where I can easily pick it up. So all my licence keys and JAWS dongle patch files for my various versions have been moved to iCloud Drive. Ideally Id be able to just use the email client on the web, but in practice its inaccessible on Windows. So yeah, its like a super-duper convenient USB thumb drive with nothing really private on it.

Hi.Im quite sure this is meant to go here since its about games.I was thinking of a zombie vs plants game. Ive notplayed the game my self but Ive herd its good.I dont know the idea ofthe game. I think you have to plant plants to protect yourself from zombies or something. You no what we need as an audiogame? Something whitch is quick, like a quick arcade game. fast paced, not quick as in over quickly.

Im familiar with face blindness. You are definitely a very non-visual person by default, which is perfectly normal. I happen to be a very visual person by default, and even after 14 years of blindness, I still instictively visualise just about everything. Although most people have a comparable balance between their senses, Its fairly normal for a person to have a strong tendancy to use one sense over the other, both in how they interact with their environment, and how they think. We are two very different examples of that.I would say that theres an intersection between your non-visualness, and your autism. For autistics in general, any complex stimuli can be very uncomfortable, and anxiety-causing. Hense the habbit of covering the ears and moaning/screaming to override auditory and visual stimuli. This also explains why many children prefer having as few clothes as possible: to remove the touch stimuli.In your case, your visual experience seems norm
 al for an autistic in that you struggle developing heuristics about human faces, you feel uncomfortable looking at complex images, and often the only way to deal with these emotions is to eliminate visual stimuli all together. This is much like those who remove clothing to eliminate touch stimuli, or put their hands over their ears and moan to override auditory stimuli. In this respect, your symtims dont seem abnormal for an autistic person. When your autism is considered in combination with your non-visualness, this would then explain why you only have these symptims for visual stimuli, and not other forms of stimuli.Would you say this is a fair assessment?

The security thing sort of annoys me. And if the little kiddies dont listen to wise uncle microsoft, the bogey man will come along and steal all your money while your asleep, so be good little boys and girls and pay us lots of money, its almost like telivangilism.After playing with windows 7 I did come to the conclusion that I could live with it if I had to, but then the question of well why should I? came up, after all why sswap a computer that will run most programs written from the 70s onwards for one that struggles with stuff written five years ago, particularly when nothing Ive actually seen with the exception of Airic the clerric really requires post xp anyway. Plus of course as I said above, the best way to keep financial information secure is just keep it off the internet as much as possible and make sure if the worst does happen nobody has access to your bank account.  o on xp, so it was a good move, but post xp windows just doesnt seem to have that bennifit, and a lot of techy stuff about it having a googly woogly super dooper processormotron just doesnt do it for me, indeed in my more synical moments I wonder how many people have been taken in by advertising telling you that something is good when in practical terms it wont let you do much of anything that different. Look at the differences between microsoft word 2003, 2007, and 2010 and youll see just what I mean, sinse all 2007 had was the stupid ribbon structure (which even sighted people hated). Getting back to Ios however, to be honest if Apple just let you look at the file system and use a streight up Usb there wouldnt be an issue anyway, however the cloud might be handy as a backup for data if I ever to do anything on my Iphone that requires it, eg write stuff etc. Im not sure though Sebby what you mean about E-mail dongle fil
 es or such things, all I need to do to setup my e-mail accounts is remember server names and pasword, thats it. At the moment I havent really got much by way of files or data on my Iphone, heck I dont even have media anymore ever sinse Apple buggered the interface on Itunes 12). For my Pc backups are just a matter of plugging in the external hardrive, copying stuff across and then putting it away in the box under my bed, no trouble.

Hi,@bogdan, Thanks for the help with the flight plans. I tried your method and it actualy worked. It asked me for the IFR Clearance and all the other stuff.But Theres still a little problem. When I echo the sentence, for exampleRequest IFR Clearancee, or request Taxi clearance, it still just says please wait.Is there something wrong with my radio setup or the squok thing?

Bulbasaur is considered the starts off rough but gets better starter mon. Hes good against Brock, Misty, Surge and the 8th gym leader, and also is immune to being poisoned. Leech seed is crap at the beginning of the game but it puts pressure on opponents and is very helpful later on.I cant update the link right now but on Monday I will and I just fixed the Roulette bug, lol I forgot to have it give you earnings. Also, I changed how stat-changing moves work slightly, so that it actually uses the multipliers in the main games instead of the one I used...

ive always thought for a while that swamp could use some first letter navigation in the menus. it could really help speed up things and easier navigation of huge menus. i dont really know if its possible. aprone you might have to completely have to rewrite the code for menus if so, but is something to think about.also, it would b nice to have a way to switch chars without having to log out, close the game, open the game, log back in, and pick the new char. i know people are going to say, you can have multiple instances of swamp running, but thats not really an ideal situation. this would be nice because if Im on hc and a normal mission goes up some times you dont have enough time to get to a place where its safe to log out, and come back in with your normal char and join the mission. maybe its just me that would like this, but if so its just an idea.thanks for all the hard work Aprone. youre doing a great job and you dont get t

Well unfortunately firefox is a steaming pile of crap that crashes on me constantly, so Im sort of stuck with windows explorer. I dont disagree security is an issue, but really even if someone did! get onto my system, the worst they could do as I said is steal my credit card number which really wouldnt be a big deal in the scheme of things, heck my brother had his credit card cloned while using it in a shop so hay. A virtual machine might be an idea eventually, but really why mess around with a virtual machine when a newer os wont do anything worth doing? security isnt enough of a reason on its own for the hassle, after all it would be more secure! to put five locks and a steel panel on the front door of your house and bullit proof shutters over the windows, but your not going to take the time unlocking five different locks and moving a huge steel pannel whenever you want to go out. To be honest I resent the
  fact that Im being asked to move off a system Ive used sinse 1998, and that a newer system wont help me do anything better and in fact cause more shenanigans. As I said security isnt a justification for that sort of crap, and I do frankly think microsoft have pushed the alarmism over security waaay up to excuse the fact that theyre newer systems dont actually do anything practically better than their old ones, and many things (eg customizable interface and compatibility with older programs), significantly worse. Bare in mind your talking to someone who still owns an snes and a mega drive sinse I cannot play most 3D games, (and if I had my way Nintendo and sega etc would still be making 16 bit titles). Ie, unless it is an improvement with a practical bennifit, why the heck bother! I just wish more people had this attitude or at least that microsoft didnt ram their new crap down everyones throat, but then again
  that is capitalism for you, why innovate when you can control.

Well the only issue with starship racing is bar the sfx I have given you I have not the sfx for a starship race, I have some crappy sfx for a starwars style pod racer but thats all.I do overwealmingly have the 2gb of sfx for a fully functional car racing circuit including music, cars and the like.in fact we should have all the sound we need for a racer game.And Id personally be happy if we had something we had all the sfx for, but then again what do I know.if you want me to search for more sounds I can.I have yet to download the sfx from trekcore, pluss there is a new game book I want to read and a few other bits of junk like that.anyway tell me guys what is needed and I will try to do my best.

With respect to continuity, fitting stuff together isnt as bad as you would think, sinse most of the people who wrote 7th and 8th doctor storylines that contributed to the ongoing plots with faction paradox etc are also writers for Big Finish. Personally I actually think having a consistant editer like Nick brigs overseeing where the storylines will go will only improve the effects of transitioning stuff from the novels into the bf continuity. Plus of course, as you said a lot of novels are stand alone anyway and thus dont really need to be concerned with what happened when, hence why there are the Short trips collections. Equally, Doctor who has always been a series that has room for more adventures between stories, its only when you start referencing more major events like that hole crazy business of the timelord war with faction paradox and the 8th Doctor carrying galifrey in his brain that things get complicated, indeed as Ive said before I dont p
 ersonally find the 8th doctor novels at least so much of a loss given how nonsensical the plot was and how sinse Paum Mcgan hadnt made his audio appearence at that stage his characterization was utterly off anyway. Id put Brax as the Doctors brother along the same lines, that idea just seems loopy to me, although the origins of the Sisters of Carn are quite adequately explained in Zagreus and some of the 8th Doctor audios with Lucy, being a powerful race who monkied with others dna for sport, so no need for more explanations there, indeed that hole business about the Timelords not having a female principle or whatever always again seemed really left field to me (after all how could you claime a race that spawned such awsome ladies as The Rani, Inquisitor Darkel and President Romana didnt have a female principle).The actual reason for the split in the first place was that when Big Finish started, they wanted the Doctor who they had to be recognizable, w
 hich is why you got the Gefry Beavers master instead of the bazle rathbone version from the novels etc. As writers of the novels came into Bf they introduced elements of their own works, which is why you got the combined Bernice audio and novel series (indeed at one point Bf had rights to Bernice but not to any other characters from that range). i suspect things will sort themselves out though, given as I said that lots of the same people are involved, heck Marys story has already been shown how it fits with the 8th Doctor, what with stories like The Silver Tirk having the 8th Doctor and Mary Shelly traveling together (albeit I never really found her a strong character).As far as the Tv series goes, well plot wise things werent too bad or inconsistant with the classic series up until the Moff took over, however after that continuity with anything (even the tv series itself), went pretty much out the window.As to the Doctor encountering po
 ssible other escaped timelords, possibly the Rani, Romana or Brax, while its a great idea, sadly it probably wont happen with the moff in charge of tv and likely nobody else producing tie in books willing to step on toes in such a way, which is a shame sinse as I said it wouldve been an awsome plot. I did wonder about the timelord Biodata Brax had in Galifrey as well, which again suggests The Moment had to be something a little more awsome than a bomb that blows up planets.With respect to Audiogo, well basically Audiogo was a division of Bbc publishing which existed specifically to publish things like readings of classic octor who novelizations. it was sort of the Bbcs use of the Classic series, and to be brutally honest a way to cash in on both the success of the new tv series, and of big finish. I dont actually believe Audiogo went bust so much as the Bbc decided administratively, it was easier to publish bbc audio books based on classic
  who themselves directly, after all they already as I said published audio readings of books based on new who (albiet often abridged which is pretty scummy).

Most games have images for menus and things where you have to click on a certain picture to start or get into options etc, represented by icons with no lable text. As of the latest version of RenPy, there is a function in Renpy scripting to lable these images.There are several devs Ive noted about this on the forums.
