Hi.So, I'm giving up on trying to get the TTS to work outside the US. I simply don't know what to do... I have wiped the whole system, installed a fresh copy from sonys website, updated with the US firmware and set it all up with my US english PSN account. But the TTS option doesn't come up...I will contact Sony about this. Are there any other who wanna contact Sony about this, then it would be awesome. Go for the US support site and the support site in your country as well. Ask them why us outside the US are not allowed to use the feature, and tell them how much the TTS feature means for us.Regarding the app: What should I tell more than the actual description in the app store? You can check your  trophies, browse your friends and their profiles, send and receive messages and some more stuff.Regarding the accessibility in generel, you can read more about it on Sonys support side, on the US section.

I didn't really describe TapTapSee or the vOICe all that well.TapTapSee basically tries to describe the contents of an image.The vOICe maps images to sound, first by converting them to grayscale, mapping horizontal position to time/pan, vertical to pitch, and brightness to volume. It has some other controls for filtering colors, zoom, contrast, etc.I would like to see something that tries to identify areas of color and focuses more on presenting them as objects. See this thread for an earlier attempt at something like that.None of these is all that great at identifying distance explicitly, but distance would be decent information to have in some capacity. I was wondering if some people here could give me their input and advice.If there was a device that could transcribe visual information into audio information what would be the most practical/desirable information and interface for that device?Would giving information on the open and closed off spaces in a room be useful?Or the number and position of people in a room?What I have thought of is two main information streams:1) a high-level human language description of an area like an old text adventure, for example "you are in a room 20 meters by 15 meters and there are two people standing in the far right corner"2) more analogue information about the space and objects in a room ie how far could a human walk in the direction you're looking without hitting something. Like a distance measuring tool that describes distance via audio.I would want to avoid overloading people with too much audio information, so I'm not sure
  what would be the best way. If the user should actively request distance information or if it would be useful to constantly provide that information?

wine mode is if you're using wine for mac, which does not support screen readers, so it only uses sapi. Item quantifier will multiply items you get by a quantifier, such as if I had 1000 quantifiers, and I picked up 2 potion power, I'd get 2002 potion power.

The first approach is something like TapTapSee (if you have access to an iOS device, you can try it for free on 100 pictures).The second is sorta-kinda like the vOICe ( http://seeingwithsound.com ).Both have their advantages and disadvantages, and I'd certainly appreciate more and diverse attempts at dealing with sensory substitution.(See also: Brain Port ®, a device that converts images into tactile information sent to the tongue.)I feel like there's something to be said for all these approaches, and in principal, you can see things more or less similar in some Audio Games.The thing about applying it to games is that it's easier to filter the information the player needs, rather than trying to throw everything at them at once. This has a downside--you don't get the massively parallel processing of vision--but it usually comes out a lot cleaner than something more general purpose. For example, Swamp has a cane-like radar that mostly only reports 4 possible things for each tick: walls, impassable-but-shoot-over-able obstacles, collectable items, and open space. It also has a compass, a player tracker, and vaguely GPS-like zone announcements and location beacons. The beacons are a bit more interesting than the verbose instructions most real world navigation systems would use, since it basically just plays a brief sound in the direction of the destination, with repeat speed inversely proportional to distance.In real life, a blend would probably be nice. The vOICe preserves the most detail (and it has to filter out a great deal for efficiency), and can be kinda overwhelming and takes lots of practice to use effectively. Something that could try to identify the sorts of objects people are most interested in in a Swamp-like manner (say, something that can find people in an image and play a sound that clearly marks them as people), but uses the vOICe in general and TapTapSee on request would probably be pretty powerful.

Well, the friends tab is just one thing, but frankly, that can also be accessed through the playstation app. Right now, I'd say the tts on the ps4 and narrator are even, because there's things that one reads that the other doesn't and vice versa. Guess we'll just have to see. I may get an xbox 1 in future, if there are more exclusives that come out for it I'm interested in. In terms of game libraries, I still feel that Sony's outdoes it by allowing digital downloads from other regions, but I'm probably in the minority here in terms of enjoying importing games. hahaha.

@Assault_FreakI agree that this is just showing how good this could possibly be - I know there's a few unlabeled elements at least in the short segment I watched.  However, that can definitely be improved upon.  It already takes the PS4's lack of features in the TTS department and blows its competition out of the water at this point as, if I'm not mistaken it actually reads the person's friends list which the PS4 (as far as I'm aware) can't currently do yet.I'll write some more on this once I turn up the volume and listen but from what I'm hearing this is promising.  Now the next interesting thing would be to learn that developers can hook into this for things like Rock Band scoring/statistics at the end of songs, Killer Instinct/MKX lobby invites etc but I won't get my hopes up too high.

Well, every normal tree has branches. And you can read how to cut down a tree to get wood in the readme. You can also drop 25 branches on the ground and get wood, the same thing. Or 25 wood, when you already have it. So yeah ... trees have branches, then you cut them down, and then there is wood.

@Cae, I agree on scope creep (which is a great term), as it's a force which has also affected Doctor who badly, after all it's been commented that in the classic series the Doctor actually only saved the entire universe about three times, now he manages to do it literally every week,  what happened to you know the days when one scary alien in a base munching it's way through the crew was enough for a gripping story? . However with respect to episode 3, I can vaguely see the logic behind order 66, given the entire point of episode 3 was that the galaxy goes to heck and all the jedi order go bye bye. Of course why they should all go bye bye on screen, one after another in a massive montage of doom, and why they shouldn't you know, just have a big war and lose and dwindle down to scattered remnants like usual over the course of a few years after the 
 breaking of their military and political power like pretty much anyone in the entirety of history who has rapidly lost I don't know . What bothered me far more is the logic leep from "I'm worried because my wife is pregnant", to "murder the children!" Really it makes you sort of glad Luke and Leya didn't grow up with pappa anakin after all . That and "oh by the way padme, sorry but the plot doesn't need you anymore mind dying of convenience?" Indeed the hole setup of the links to the original starwars was so quick you could've missed it over the ten minute long lava light saber duel of impractical doom! Indeed, even all the bale Organa scenes that linked Olderan to the rebellion were utterly cut and I
  only know about them from the dvd extras. @Cw, new ships and planets? Quite likely.  The fount of all wisdom did mention something called "the first order" which I presume are some sort of enemies, and the trailers have already shown people riding around on mecha beasty things. I'm sure it'll all look very pretty, but my response to such is a resounding Meh! The thing that interests me in terms of locations is what they will do. Lucas said (and this was actually one of his better ideas), that he wanted two different environments in each film, both for contrast of colours and locales, and to give that sense of the epic journey. So in A New hope you had dry, sandy tatueen, and the very technological deathstar. In Empire you obviously got the ice planet of Hoth,  which really should've been called Coldth, and again the rather different cloud city which was a bit techno like the dathstar but with all the gas mining etc. R
 eturn o the jedi obviously had tatueen again! plus forests of endor, plus back to the new deathstar. Even in the prequals we got new places, Nabu with it's grass and lakes, both the gothic temple of corasant plus the rather different underworld below the sky scrapers, the clone planet which actually as an environment I really liked, all the storm and sea outside and the cool white clone factory inside, and of course the annoying rebellion arena in an asteroid (where they really should've just shot Padme and Anakin rather than subjecting them to death by monster). So I do wonder what new places we'll go. I know a lake has been seen in the trailer, but that's not saying much. Then again, as the clone planet in attack of the clones shows, environment isn't everything if you don't really do anything good there or have interesting characters with actual acting ability to enspire sympathy and tell a story that keeps the plot moving. I really do think it'll all come down to the plot/action ratio in the end, actually far more in the case of starwars precisely because! it is such an epic story.

Hi thereI downloaded the latest version of free youtube to mp3 converter, and it is not working anymore. It seems that they changed something which appears to have taken down accessibility of free youtube. I loved it so much, but as an alternative I'm using YTD video downloader which works very well. It can download videos and playlists, but you need to convert them to mp3 manually.Hope It helps.Cheers.

To me 3 was sort of not as good because of the action over the plot. The plot could have been greatly aproved by use of the extra space in the film if the action scenes were, at the vary least, cut back. I fold it amusing that the death star plans were transfere at the second film. It would had been nice to see a little more of the death star construction than the aaction scenes. LOL. I have gotten a lot of star wars books, but I can't really convence my self to read all of them. It seems like there is a bad guy around every corner. Let's see, what would I like to see in seven? First, I far in time is six and seven? Is it going to be filled with action and love scenes? will everyone have kids? Will it be a look back on on the rebuilding after the wars? Will we get to see more plannets? Will there be new ships? Basicly, what will it add that isn't already there?

Regarding the lock tumblers in the chest game, there are different pitched clicks for each tumbler so that you can tell when it is time to press it. Basically, you must press the buttons, working from left to right as you scroll through the trap game subscreen with voiceover. You have to press the button as soon after you hear the relevant click and then you get a different click and Voiceover announces if it's gone red or green. Green means it's worked and you can move on to the next one, red means it's jammed and you have to use the unjam button to reset the lock. The pitch of the clicking tumblers seems to be lowest pitched first/left, rising in pitch as you turn each tumbler green when progressing to the right. Does that make sense? I find it works pretty well and I'm now on chests with around 5-6 tumblers to open. These puzzles only really occur at fixed points in dungeons where there are set items to find (particularly for quests), and after random drops 
 after you win a combat in a dungeon. You don't get them with random encounter battles just wandering around the maps (although some of the maps do have set chests and doors to unlock when you first encounter them).I would absolutely love to make a recording of this game but I need some advice. I use Audacity as my main recording software. When recording an iPhone game, is it best to record the game output separately or to just have it coming through the same microphone as my commentary?

Hello,I'll try to anser some of your questions, @smoothgunner.When you die, you become a coarps, and some of your stuff can still be on the flor, so you can regane some of your posesions if you know where you died (or pick up other coarpses, too). Coarpses themselves do nothing, you can colect coarpses of your friends for a joke, or just burn them.Well, for a long long time, your enemies were players of stw. Now when pk can be togled, there are only a fiew players that have it on, but you can still ask to fight with those or just run up to them and stabb them, I guess. But soon, animals Will be added.Those porcentages do nothing at the moment, but I can still tell you in roll-play to take a bath and that you smell bad if you are dirty enough, hahaha.Noone actually uses flairs to call help. you can see where the flair exploded and maybe find them, but most players do it for joke, or because some people (like me) can find it anoying if someone is c
 onstantly setting off flairs.Well, you can just sit down and then you Will fall asleep. that Will regain energy, you can also use energy drugs if you find them.I hope this helps.

I've heard of James Patterson, but not really being a big fan of thrillers or crime I haven't checked out his stuff generally, mostly I'm more a fantasy and sf guy, and though i do enjoy horror occasionally I prefer the steven king style supernatural horror over books about psychopaths. Then again I'm going to try a book that L recommended me when I'm finished with Tom Holt's commic fantasy which will be a rather different beast indeed, a sort of family saga entitled prince of tides by Pat Conroy, not usually my thing but I've seen quotations from this one and the writing style looks beautiful! Indeed,  I'm not above going outside my usual genre restrictions (for all that generally speculative fiction has! genre restrictions), so long as it's based on a good recommendation or for a good reason, as I said I loved Skallagrigg by William Horwood which probably wouldn't count a
 s fantasy to most people and is mostly all about disability (and computer games), and I really enjoyed Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdi, which is set in india in the early 20th century and is the story of the family of a boy called Salleem, who is born with rather weerd powers, although the book is more about his life and the state of Indiathan it is about the powers though they do come into things in a very nasty way later on. Definitely magical realism and awesome! All that must wait a bit though sinse I'm still not finished with Tom Holt and the man who works at J W wells firm of sorcerers, this one had an awesome section where he tried to defeat an omniscient sorcerer who literally has all knolidge of the universe, and managed because said sorcerer created a synthetic universe to keep himself amused andthe main character realized that said sorcerer's knolidge of the rules of that! universe was not so infalliable. Actually sinse this is book
  three of four, I'm debating whether to finish the series before starting prince of tides, though we'll see whether I'm sick of Holt when I finish book three. In other news, the feel the force convention is tomorrow. I have my jedi robes which will be awesome, so am looking forward to heading there and seeing what's what. I also saw a rather fun jaz pianist do a concert this afternoon. Jaz isn't as much my thing though there was one of his own peaces I liked, however the concert was free so why not?Oh, and I actually think there was an entire hour today I didn't think about L!  possibly.

There isn't one ATM but eventually will be. And tracking trees wouldn't help you find wood unless you want to cut them down. You litterily have to track wood. If you track a tree that means it is standing, wood means it's well, not hahahahahaha.

Oh also, the letter switches should lower in pitch when you go behind them. I often spend precious seconds near bombs circling the letter switches trying to get the bonuses. Also there should be a third mode where you have to avoid moving cars! This mode would replace the bombs with cars that would spawn every 25 to 30 seconds, drive either in a random pattern or towards the player depending on how you set up the AI, and disappear after between 70 and 90 seconds. Higher levels would either decrease the spawn time between cars, make them stay on the board longer, or both. Crashing into a car would make you lose a full life. I also advocate a car health system instead of a strict life system. You could buy durability upgrades in the shop, up to 3 times the original durability of the car. Cooler cars would have higher starting durability and thus be able to be upgraded to more durability than lower cars. ALso this would affect the bombs; the farther away from them the less durability
  you would lose.

Oh also, the letter switches should lower in pitch when you go behind them. I often spend precious seconds near bombs circling the letter switches trying to get the bonuses. Also there should be a third mode where you have to avoid moving cars! This mode would replace the bombs with cars that would spawn every 25 to 30 seconds, drive either in a random pattern or towards the player depending on how you set up the AI, and disappear after between 70 and 90 seconds. Higher levels would either decrease the spawn time between cars, make them stay on the board longer, or both. You could also gain a hefty point bonus by inducing cars to crash into each other. Crashing into a car would make you lose a full life. I also advocate a car health system instead of a strict life system. You could buy durability upgrades in the shop, up to 3 times the original durability of the car. Cooler cars would have higher starting durability and thus be able to be upgraded to more durability than lower car
 s. ALso this would affect the bombs; the farther away from them the less durability you would lose.

OK, I just understand. But previously, after command /uploadsound It says, that this server isn't permitted. But after that, UP sounds folder has been created successfully. New version doesn't countains sound folder. And It made me confused.But, also..What is this wine mode?After pressing on wine mode Sapi only speaks. Hello. Awesome game, I liked it a lot. But well, there's something strange I found other then the bug the guys previously mentionned, which once happened to me as well. The other bug I'm gonna be describing is when I saved my game when it was at the month of August 2015, I reloaded it after a while and got the date something like 01.2014, with wrong item names and almost everything unnamed. I can upload my save if you want, but first I'll have to see if this is only happening with me or if there's someone experiencing the same bug.

Well, i'm actually 13. So I suppose you could say that. Wet and dirty is just for fun right now but will effect you in the future. Corpses are nothing good, just dead boddy's. But sometimes theres other stuff on the same square, so you can loot the corpses. Sometimes players don't launch flairs because they need help, but you go over to them and you'd have to see what was rong your self. Soon animals will be who you will kill, but if you and another player have pk on you can get into fights. Hope it doesn't change your impression of the game just because i'm young but I am truely 13, going on 14.

Hi Oriol,I agree with all the ideas suggested here on this topic. If you end up not deciding to add bomb disarmers, another idea is to make the spawning a bit slower, and also play a noise in the background when the player is in danger of being impacted by the bomb. Also, I think there should be a damage system, so that the further one was away from a bomb the less damage it did to the car.  Also it would be kind of funny to add in a minefield mode, where the longer you could survive the bombs, the higher your score.  Keep it up!

Well I gave the game another look,  this time with text delay at %100. I found the arms master and fought the sparring partner, however I'm still not  entirely clear on what happened in the combat, for example I asked my magician to cast a spell but I'm not sure if she did or not, and my paladin seems to have been hit but I appear to have missed the message. I'm trying to find the text by tapping the top of the screen, but it seems one message can appear while vo is reading another. Sinse the combat is in rounds anyway, either a "continue" button (the way several npcs have), or some sort of combat log you could manually review to which the battle text was written would be a good thing I think, sinse while it's okay for me to just say chrge! while fighting random spods in ights I'm intended to win, obviously that won't help when my enemies are casting spells I need to counter or doing other more complex types of nastificat
 ion.Of course, it is also entirely possible that there is a knack to getting vo to read combat message I am missing, sinse due to my life being somewhat complex at the moment I'll freely admit I'm not able to put all my mental faculties into the game, so anyone is welcome to chip in. Btw, I will definitely be buying several extras when access is fixed, sinse the game does look amazingly awesome!

Now example 7 does exactly the same thing, except that I have translated the last parts in _javascript_ to Brython.Like previous example 7, I haven't noticed a speed difference with example 4. The only strange behavior is when testing the page locally as a file with Firefox: sometimes it works and always works, sometimes it doesn't until some time have passed (maybe until the page is loaded from a web server, I don't know). With Chrome the result is more reliable: it only works with a web server.

@Dark,Nope, you are not right, it says only 2 or 3 words in French and then it will say in English, "Loading". Double tap on the screen with two fingers when you open the game. The voice will instruct you what do you have to do.Hope it helps.
