Well from what little I've heard I like the audio ambiance, particularly in the town with the horses and people walking by. I've toyed with the idea of developing RPG's since I agree we have two few in English (three in fact), but I have no skill at programming and my mathematical skills or more accurately my lack thereof virtually guarantee that I'm not likely to learn to program anytime soon. Agreed completely with post 16. I guess it's easy to judge a book by its cover, almost literally. Imagine that everything you've said on the internet was enclosed in a beautiful leather tome, yet its beauty was subjective. Some would pass it up completely, while others would feel allured by it, and feel an obsessive need to delve into each and every crease of its pages, drinking in each and every word contained within. Now, imagine that most people, being human, focused on all of the negative things that were in those pages first. There may very well be lovely prose superimposed on all of those dark and deadly secrets, but most of us, with our prejudices and ignorances, and, dare I say, even triggers, would never notice them. That's basically what putting yourself out there on the internet entails. it's why I believe that you have to have a pretty thick skin in order to navigate what today's world wide web has to offer. It's not just called a web as a
  figure of speech; it will ensnare the weak as quickly as it can. or, rather, the people behind it will. You also need a healthy dose of common sense. Both common sense and a thick skin are traits that the majority of humanity is lacking, sadly, thus why we have things like safe spaces, and, on the opposite side of that spectrum, vicious attacks on those who said one tiny thing wrong, because everybody loves a freak show, even those who don't admit it.All of that, however, is pretty far off the mark of the original topic.

On the other hand, if you really want a challenge with that mon, breed one remullion from another, and you'll start with battle cry, and you won't see another move until level 10 or something. That move is headbutt. Next after that comes iron tackle or something at 15. Then tri kick mid 20's. Then metal fist in the mid 30's I think. Don't quote me on that but I think that's about it. I don't know after that point. I got bored of doing the oblivion slash level trick.

Oh hey, I didn't actually know that. Thanks for the heads-up. I always just got them by breeding Steelion and Redonkeus, so mine always had Slash, Tri-Kick and Battlecry or some such.Too bad they don't seem to get Steel Horn anymore, but yeah.And don't give up on Tarba. It's not really excellent at attacking, but it's got big HP and decent special defense, so on the right team it can work out for ya.

Exactly.  That and ff6 also has dialogue that only comes up if a certain characters are in your party at certain times, as well as giving you discounts in stores if a certain character is in the lead position of your party.  I'd love something like an action rpg, like something from the tales series, taht'd be fun, but I'm not sure how easy that'd be able to be done without programming it for a controller.  Take a look at some videos for tales of symphonia/tales of the abyss/tales of graces etc for what I mean.

Well there's some guides on JAWS certification [here], theres also the Inernational Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) Certification [here]. You could also try checking out the Assistive Technology Industry Association [ATIA].I can't really say how useful any of those may be, but the networking potential might be worth something.

Sounds pretty interesting. I won't get it, but I could see a lot of people find it useful.@LordLundin: May I ask you to watch your fucking language just a bit? Just because you don't need such a robot doesn't mean others are totally messed up because they would find the robot useful, also as a girlfriend. There are people out their who have mental issues, who simply can't have a girlfriend, or people who simply would find it safe to have such a robot rather than a normal human all the day and night. Reading your post just tells me that you properly find it difficult to understand other peoples needs, so I won't spent more time to write examples on who might need such a robot.

Joseph, In case you've never plaied it before...Final fantasy 6; or 3 in the US; has a lot of extra diologue that's not part of the main story.Each main character; their are 14 of them by the way; have lots of little glimpses into their past.Aside from that, their is lots of diologue that expands the world.aside from all of that, the basis of this games sounds a lot like a traditional final Fantasy-type game.That's not a bad thing, as we really don't have anything quite like that here.we have Paliden of the sky and Manamon, but those are linnier; modern or feuturistic; and don't really have a lot of "world" to speak of.We have Braillemon, but blind people who've never plaied a Pokémon game are kind of lost in it.We have the bk series, but those aren't in english yet, and the first one that acts more like an RPG will probably never be translated, unless some money changes hands, or Yukio; the game's developer; gets vary ambitious.Also, we don't really have a fantasy RPG yet.We do have shadow rine, but; like the bk series; it hasn't been translated yet.Aside from all that, their's never been an RPG that blind and sighted people can play together.I recently have that problem with manamon. A relative and I were playing it, and; as they were sighted, they couldn't see the creatures or the world, and they didn't get the hole audiogame thing.Hopefully, they will once this game comes out.Here's hoping you can meat all your goals; including that mystery goal...Later!PS: their's a really good fandub of final fantasy 6 over on youtube if you've never had the chance to finish that game...

Hi.Those maps are already added, and the server should change the maps automatically. It should change after a player have got 50 kills I think, and the time is set to 6000  minutes, where the map will change anyway after that time, if someone haven't got 50 kills.People are still trying to connect with an outdated version of the client. Well, I can't do much about it when they don't post here to tell me what's going on at their end. But I'm really glad to see that some people have had fun today.

Threeblacknoises,Mojibake, as DD said, is when Asian or other non unicode characters are turned into nonsense symbols because of bad encoding or getting scrambled. If text files are saved wrong, for example, as anything other than utf8, you will most likely end up with an entire file of mojibake.And regarding the ttranslations, there are others of us who are also supposed to be working on this project as well... so please, ask Yukio to invite you to where the required files are to be shared between team members... this is one of the reasons I haven't been able to work on this project, because I don't know what is up to date and what isn't. There should also be a skype group with active people involved... as I believe right now yukio and I are the only two people who are bilingual on this team that is, who speak English as well as Japanese.

I agree about the semiprofessional setup as well. If I didn't have one I wouldn't even think about it. Acting with a cheap desktop mic is much, much harder to make sound good.Nuno, Joseph already stated what he was looking for in a post nearer the top of the thread. Just demonstrate, using your own lines, what kind of voices you can do.

I'm trying Eurofly with a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas Joystick using Joy to Key and here is something i think the developpers could do to make it more realistic even when using just the keyboard.When using the Joystick to adjust the nose handle or the direction of the Plane I have to repeat the movement as many times as I need to set the proper nose handle or course which at least for Me is not practical or even fun...So I would like to suggest to the developpers a change in the game so the nose handle and the plane direction would keep changing for as long as the keys are pressed as it already happens with the keys used to accelerate and slow down the plane.When I'm using the Joystick the acceleration lever works just perfectly but to adjust direction, climb or descend I have to use the stick one step at a time which means I can't just pull or push it to raise or lower the nose handle or keep it to the left or right until I reach the desired direc
 tion...The Game is really good and from what I tried Today is even better played with a joystick if this small changes can be made.

Any resources for certifications?

So I'm trying to breach the accessibility market, but it's extremely difficult without any certifications. Does anyone know any certs besides JAWS/Magic certifications that would be a good idea to get under my belt? And regarding JAWS certification, are there any resources that people have available, because lets face it I really don't want to be nickel and dimed from FS lolYeah, I know most accessibility standards are pretty meh in comparison to the work we do here but in order to break that ice I'm going to need to look into it. Thanks in advance.

one more suggestion for the game: in the main quest or in a side quest, are there any kind of quest where you have to complete minigames, like in the final fantasy games, you are tasked to ride a chocobo.

@threeblacknoises mojibake as far as I'm aware is a term used to describe when characters/words get messed up, which usually happens when characters are encoded wrongyukio, please correct me if I'm wrong? hahaalso I found a minor error that'd probably take just a couple seconds to fix, although I'm not sure if it's been patched yetnoticed it in the game first because I switch from playing in english and japanese from time to time, in these 2 lines in the objects file銀色のセキュリティカート    Gold security cart金色のセキュリティカート    Silver security cartshouldn't the two english lines be reversed? hahamy knowledge of japanese only goes as far as 3 years of high school classes though, lol

I'm on my lunch break so I'll try to take a minute to reply to a couple of things:Muhammad: I definitely get where you're coming from, but the truth is that our goal for this game is NOT for it to be an audio game. Our goal for this game is for it to be a fully accessible game. It's easy for us as blind players to complain that sighted debs don't make games that include us - yet we tend not to make games that include them. If possible, we want to chart a third path - one which, to the best of my knowledge, has never been charted before. Specifically, we want to show that it doesn't have to be either/or, but that you can in fact make a game rewarding for both audiences.So that's the sort of philosophical reason the goals are ordered as they are. The practical reason is that we're already very happy with the product we'll be presenting to blind gamers. Could our 
 sounds benefit from the purchase of some additional sound packs? Sure, that would be great. But will the experience of blind gamers be impacted as seriously without those new sounds as the experience of sighted gamers will be without these graphics? No way. So we intentionally placed that goal next, in order to try and broaden our base of potential players as much as possible before we really focus on the more refining touches.Blindndangerous: You're correct - unfortunately Kickstarter's main editor for the campaign gives my screen reader all sorts of trouble, and neither of our sighted team members has had the chance to edit the goals into the main page yet. Also what do you mean by a Final Fantasy VI sort of thing?Hanif: You're right, having DLC would be pretty neat. We've talked about it, mostly in concept. Not sure whether or not that's a real possibility for the future - but I guess we'll see. We definitely don't want to delay pr
 oduction on our next game by virtue of turning out more content for this one, though, so that would be a delicate balance. Regarding different game modes, we're already planning on that. Not only is there the main graphics mode but there are also different options for low-vision players who may benefit from high-res, simplified graphics, as well as a no-graphics mode. Likewise, sighted gamers will be able to disable all the assistive audio features and play as a conventional, visual game.

hi all out of sight teams, congratulations to all of you who have successfully made it to the minimal funding goal and to the first stretch goals.I have a suggestion for the game: would it be possible to release DLC's in to the game to expand the story, or just for additional items? it would be cool if the game have DLC expansions to make the game much longer.also, if possible, you cann add 2 modes to the game, the first is you can play it without graphics, and the second mode is for sighted people, meaning that some of the sound cues are reduced, replacing it with visual indicators.and also, rather than using a silent protagonist, I wanted the main character to be voiced also, similar to games like final fantasy X or fallout 4.

I really have to agree with Kai on this.  You really want at least a semi professional setup here, not an internal mic and a pair of headphhones.  A nice mic, a pop shield, little to no room noise...it's not hard to get all this, but really an internal microphone is not going to cut it here for a good recording.

Hello,Thought to much before posting this suggestion and was hesitant about that but here you go:Why not making graphics your final goal? I mean, let the second stretch goal gos for the sound assets as it is an audio game, which focusses basiclly on audio. I appreciate that you're planning to make the game playable for both blind and sighted people, but as mentioned, the game is based on audio so the audio quality is very important. It's your decision in the end though, those stretch goals are really exciting, wish you a good luck in your great work.
