That's true, because Keynote Gold was actually based on Berkley Speech Technologies software. Did you know it originally had a female voice, and spoke in Japanese as well? As such, Keynote Gold is neither PulseData nor Humanware's product, so it's no wonder they have been reluctant to release it into the open.

Actually Backblaze is very reasonable. It's $5 per month or $50 per year, per computer. Unlimited data, from any number of local drives. They won't back up network drives.I was able to upload about two terabytes of material to Backblaze in a few weeks, with a 30 megabit per second upload speed.

About the exclusive games, I enjoyed looking at a lot of those games, and there are a couple I get a lot of enjoyment from today, so it would be ashame just to forget them. I don't think the links in the exclusive room are up anymore but I could be wrong, I haven't searched it exhaustively. I'd say get permanent hosting for as many games as possible for historical preservation, preferably on agarchive.net, and be done with it. I have some of the old games lying around so could help provide copies to people who can host, but that's for another day and another thread.

Plus you would need ftp access to upload them, which i’m guessing you don’t have. So you would have to rely on richard or sander to do that for you. I’m not sure if the warning system extension exists in pan bb, but i remember seeing something related that was for an old ver of punBB.

well, the system that has been mentioned also gets a vote from me. I would probably add a bit more features to the report link in a poll style, just like every big company does, I think it does facilitate the work for the system in question. The more votes a post gets to say, to be an insult, the more it counts towards a warning being accepted or whatever... I think a community should also help to moderate itself somewhatAnd yes, only one account per IP address, and longevity will allow those users to weigh in their votes or do certain tasks, including reporting. Maybe the karma system can actually count towards that as well.

Hi,I think until such time as such a aystem is implemented, if it can be, we still need a basic way to track warnings and the closed topic way would be the easiest on that front at least for now.Not only that but also a re-write of the rules, and we need to figure out if that's possible to edit through the admin panel, plus discuss them.

@191 Do you hear footsteps? There are some area restrictions in the tutorial. Can you keep following the trail to the end? If you follow it to the end, the guy should say he's going to do something else that requires a different mechanic. You have to follow the trail for about 20 seconds minimum. If you're doing this, I'll look into what's going on some more.

If it's absolutely required though, you should be able to get the former up and running rather easily.First, install visual studio (I like VS code) and the microsoft visual C++ redistributable for python.Now run vsvars32.bat or whatever from your VS directory, usually c:\program files (x86)\\microsoft visual studio year\\common7\\tools.From their, run:set CL=-FI"%VCINSTALLDIR%\INCLUDE\stdint.h"then instal pycrypto with pippip install pycryptoYou should now be able to use the module relatively easily. Remember, however, that their are better solutions available.I'd personally recommend just importing pycrptodome as Crypto, as their are no differences to the API.This worked on my machine, visual studio 2017 running under windows 10

As long as you don't need clocks or alarms. You can tune stations and save them as presets with no problem.  It also has a speaker and better reception than a pocket radio should have.  So if any of you are a radio nerd like myself then this is worth a look. I saw that talking radio mentioned above. I say screw that and if you are spending that kinda money just get the CC 2e instead. I'm not sure what kind of reception that talking radio can provide but I bet it's not better than the CC 2E.

I'd say the best solution is to drop off the carried resource in all cases except when the unit is stopped. for example: peasant in a1 exploits goldmine, is ordered to go to a2 immediately, drops off carried gold at townhall in b1, then walks to a2. This behaviour could be bypassed, perhaps, with control + enter. The only problem would arise if the townhall was destroyed, but then you have bigger worries.

Hi, All.This is part two of my guide on how to play Aurora 4X, a complex, deep space strategy game. The first part can be found here. My objective for this second part is to go over the very basics of how to start a new game and explain a bit about how Aurora’s screens are organized. Navigating the vast amount of information available is a big part of the learning curve for players, whether blind or not. I'm also going to touch on some important game mechanics, such as how game turns work, and a bit about research. I assume you have managed to download Aurora from the link in my previous guide and have started the program. What happens now?You’re greeted with the “Game Details,” screen. Aurora stores its saved games, and a ton of other information, in a giant Microsoft Access database. This is important because occasionally errors related to access or the database will occur, and it’s worth keeping backups. The database is stored in the file SteveFire.mdb, and if you choose to use the aurora Wrapper program, it is automatically backed up every time you start the game. For now, hit alt+n, or tab to New Game, and activate the button.The Game creation screen has a lot of controls, which you can explore with the tab key. This is one of a few areas where you can tab, so enjoy the chance to read over all the options. Many of these settings are fine if left at defaults, and the New Game page on the Aurora Wiki, explains all of them in great detail. For now, I will only mention a couple. For the purposes of this guide, I would turn off "Assign starting tech points automatically," if only because it will let me explain research and start us off at a consistent place in the tech tree. Also, don’t turn on "Create ship systems and ship designs," because we’ll eventually be walking through the ship design window. Finally, don’t be tempted to turn on the Extra-galactic invaders, they’re as dangerous as their name suggests. Just hit "“Create Game," after supplying a game name, and let the game do its thing. Pick the game you just created and hit alt+E, or tab to "select."I’m going to take some time now to explain the way a lot of Aurora windows are set up. They tend to be divided into a few areas, with information and controls at the top, a bunch of tabs in the middle, which you can cycle between, and a row of buttons at the bottom. The Population and Production window, which we’ll meet soon, is pretty much like this. Some of the tabs contain mostly reference information, some of them are big tables, some you’ll almost never touch. You’ll be using the Jaws cursor to review all of these, because the controls aren’t laid out in any sensible way when you use the Tab key to go through them. There are a few exceptions, mostly in smaller windows, which I’ll note as we come to them.For now, press F2, or go to the Empires menu and choose Economics. This is the Population and Production window, and it’s probably the most important window in the game, and arguably one of the most cluttered. Jaws will land on a button it calls "5 seconds." This gives me a chance to explain how turns, and time, work.Basically, in Aurora you’re playing out the life of a civilization in, almost, real-time. The game divides up into seconds, minutes, hours, and so on. The catch is that you have the control over the clock, you can choose how much time passes, from 5 seconds all the way to 30 days at a stretch. No time passes until you hit one of the buttons on this window, or a near-identical set on the System Map, which I’ll get to later. You can design ships, give orders, arrange for research and so forth, before hitting a button to pass time. The wiki page has more info on times, turns, and interrupts. I’ll just note here that events in this game generally follow a realistic time-scale, research projects can take years, and terraforming a new world can easily take a decade or three. Moving back to the Population and Production window, if you route the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor  and explore around, you’ll find that you’re at the top of what turns out to be a pretty large screen. This is the summary tab, and it’s displaying all the information about your population on Earth. Once again, the wiki page on this window has more information. For now, just get used to navigating around and explore the way Jaws lays out the tabs. Find the Research tab and click on it to follow along.Research is, of course, a fairly complex subject in this game, but for now I’ll just say that research projects are lead by chief scientists, who are all named. You can assign a number of research labs to a particular project under a particular scientist, and they will eventually finish work on it if you give them enough time. Harddrive is preferable, just keep an external SSD and do regular backups. Something people don't think about is that cloud services are subject to DMCA, so they'll scan the words and contents of whatever you upload against a central database and block it if it matches. I had this happen with my Audiocraft prototype with Goodle Drive which was called audio_minecraft at the time, dispite the fact that it had nothing to do with minecraft proper other than the name.

I'm glad that a more plausable reason was provided. The reason that nameservers were changed, as provided in the original banner, is not defensible because nameservers don't do that. If the nameservers had changed, that would indicate that either the host had updated their nameservers or your domain had expired. Either way, the domain would no longer be resolvable by the DNS system, and so cloudflare would probably give a totally different message than just error 503.

Fog isn't really something that bothers you if you can't see, even if your stuck out in a forest, even a forest with zombies, even a forest with zombies, killer ravens who want to peck your eyes out and dead hands coming up from the ground. Oh yes, all of the zombies and Hitchcock style birds and things might be a bit of a miner problem, but fog? Well not really an issue. Fortunately you can put all that to the test in the new Ios release from Austrian developers Hans jörg and Iris Meyerr FEER, (Android version coming in October).Run endlessly through the woods, grabbing up faerie lights and power ups avoiding various hazards. Uniquely, the game actually has full graphic support, though unfortunately the fewer lights you have the darker the world, and the more everyone will need to rely just on their hearing. On the plus side, collect enough lights and you can boost your power ups. With missions and quests to complete, this is one arcade style adventure which you'll be  playing right up to the zombocalypse. I believe having two forums is a great idea. As stated before, this is just like having multiple social networks. I don't believe that anyone who makes another forum is power hungry just for making another forum as some people have implied on this topic, it's someone trying to make a community of their own to see if they'd be able to do it and maybe even do it better. Plus, in light of recent events some well-standing community members and developers have left the scene and stated that they will not be making a return, so we need to give them something other than this forum to fall back on.@ivan_soto Why do you have to stomp all over a project, regardless of who makes it. H, the only problem I've ever had myself with an external backup  involved a really dodgy power cable which eventually caused the drive to short, indeed it probably wouldn't be an issue now since I could just get the cable replaced. That was a c gate drive which initially put me off them as a brand, but I've since tried others that have been fine.Currently, I have a 2 tb c gate external drive plugged into my pc which was previously my backup drive, which is now  almost precisely 9 years old and still running fine, indeed the only reason its not my backup drive anymore is that I needed a larger one, said larger one is in a box in my bedroom, and is still working absolutely fine, then again it only gets used once a month or so. the only major problem with c gate is having to remove their own inaccessible backup software programs, but once you clear the drives they work absolutely fine, or at least that's been my experience.

I was thinking a of a new audio game. I am not sure how it should look like, but here is an general idea.It should be an audio game where you are adopting a child from an orphanage and have to do certain tasks, like taking care of it, playing and spending time with it, take it to school, help it with homework and more.I don't know if this is possible, but it's just a thought.

Jake, while Windows Mobile Professional was designed with touchscreens in mind, it does indeed have the full support for keyboards that windows mobile classic does. Which is just as well since you really can't use the touchscreen on a virtual device emulator environment.

Yeah, you've got a good point, I can't know exactly what Dark was thinking, it's what I feel I'd have done in his place if I felt overwhelmed and was on my own trying to keep a site together and not deal with the overload of stress, but I'm not him so it's not really fare to reflect my own concepts of normal onto him.Either way, the way you dealt with my (admittedly careful) challenge kinda allays many of my fears. It's not what I set out to do, but their it is anyway LOL.That said, you can rest assured that I'm not one of the people spouting off about calculated character assassinations and power plays and impulsive  crap like that at least...
