@Afrim I'm a wee bit confused about what you mean with NvdA and chrome having problems. The only issue I've noticed in Chrome is the bookmarks manager being generally silly, and I usually get around that by using edit on individual bookmarks. When I switched from IE to Chrome I was quite surprised how much better the experience was, EG no extra blank lines and so on.

It's developers' business where to put the source and share or not to do so with others and if he didn't want to spend his own money for the project, so be it, because subscribtion is not so cheep after all and if he lives in the country where economics aren't developing well, so how could he? By the way it's just asumtion, not the fact.If he decided not to share the source on a Github, perhaps there is something behind - new project or something, however I'm just keeping myself guessing, nothing more.Although Dotwalker PRO was a really good app, I'm developing my GPS app as well and I plan to use Apache Cordova to make *.apk executable / native Android app and progress is going well enough. In few days I plan to share another podcast how my achievements have changed since my first post.

Morse Code enthusiasts, er, extremists? Like drone racers, kind of have their own little niche community tucked away, mostly using Ham Radio recievers with PCs, and yes, this is done purely with audio. There are actually audio decoding competitions such as the [IARU High Speed Telegraphy Championship] where people have gone up to 195 words per minute like Stanislau Hauralenka, amazingly enough. There are a few tools around to train for such competitions, like [RufzXP], or [Chuck Adams] free course [here], a retired astrophysicist who in 2008 clocked in at 140 words per minute.The world can be a truely strange place at times, heh.

I have an idea, if anyone would be willing to work with me on this.Remake Jim Kitchen's Trucker in GDE, with better, realistic sounds I'm still trying to find those, actually driving the truck in 3D audio across the three routes in Jim Kitchen's Trucker, not just a simple text input game where random events happen.Rest stops are actual locations dotted along the highway maps. Sleeping in your truck would be effective, but not as effective as going in and grabbing a coffee to go first.In Kitchens trucker, there are no other trucks to avoid on the highway, just trucks passing you that are just ambience. If I could make an AI system where, sounds only they may be, but they're an object in-game that can be avoided and can collide with, that would be nice. I know for a fact with GDE this is possible with the collision actions. I haven't yet messed with the change audip pitch events though, something I'll need to set a local variable on the player truck for setting what the audio will do pitch wise at certain speeds and perhaps volume as well.This engine does have me thinking about design concepts a lot though.

Yes mine craft does have a screen reader, and yes the front-end menus are accessible, but the game play is far from ready. I have a youtube demo of me trying to chop down a tree. Sounds simple, but it took me over 5 minutes to do, where a sighted person did it in 10 seconds or perhaps a minute. I would love the idea of it being accessible too, but that's a long time coming.

You can also specify what notifications you want accessibily. Well pulse rates can usually be adjusted for haptic or audio feedback, and experienced telegraphers can read up to 80 words per minute, so "slow" and "tedious" may be a bit subjective. But yeah, if Braille or TTS are available it would be a lot better to go with what your already familiar with to improve than a whole new syntax like Morse Code. I mentioned it purely as another possible option, if their so inclined.

I've won 2 unidentified scrolls from quests.  When I visit the general store and pick identify it tells me I have nothing to identify.  I bought an identify scroll and tried using it (found it in inventory and hit enter) and it said I had no targets.Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Did you try deleting NVDA from app data, and running uninstall.exe, then reinstalling? I found that when i had NVDA issues, i often had to delete appdata as well as run uninstall.exe.HTH

Morse code would be too slow and tedious. Apart from what was mentioned here, actually retain what you have had to get corrected, either through a spell checker, or some jackass pointing and laughing. Like, put in the effort to remember the new spelling and you will do it.

I do this too, and i've found no viable solution for it. I think part of my spelling is because of how reliant i used to be on braille contractions, and now that i almost always use a qwerty keyboard, i'm not used to having to spell out all the words.

@6Mmm, not necessarily. Another option besides TTS or Braille might be Morse Code, which can translate through audio or haptics. Recently Google implemented a Morse Code accessibility function with Gboard that works on Android and iOS [here], though i'm not sure if it enables Haptic feedback. Course a problem with that is traditional Morse Code is rather limited, and doesn't support much punctuation or captialization.You can find a bit more information on Googles Morse Code accessibility experiment [here].

I think however many times this topic comes up, its better to focus on making progress on the things we can do. So having said that, I do believe making it accessible is possible, even if only as a similar concept. But given the tools available making something like this, even if your modding Minecraft proper, isn't a trivial task. Its important not to underestimate the amount of work required here, and motivation to keep going can be a killer, though I don't think thats any reason people shouldn't at least try. In the end, it can all still be a valuable learning experience, heh.If anyones interested, I do have python source for a basic Minecraft engine with a filtered depthmap sonifier that could be used to identify block types and where they are, etc. Feel free to play around and experiment with it or build off it, you can find the source [here].

Not that this can't be done with screen readers, but as others have pointed out, trying to go back and pick up all of those nuances which can make the biggest difference under certain circumstances is rather tedious. You already get those nuances with Braille, hence why I strongly believe every blind person be fluent in Braille. Braille first, audio second, just to get the fundamentals of literacy down first.My point is to nitpick as much as you can. You're only options are physical literacy (Braille) and auditory interaction (speech synthesis) to read, so it's not like you have a wide range of choices, unfortunately.

One issue I saw is that when you tell it to play, your not supposed to give the filename too, piano1.play();, the play function takes no arguments, you allready told it what sound to play.

Hey guys,So I'm coding my first BGT project, and it's a simple dynamic menu with key mapping. Hi there,I thought I'd share this little querk I discovered earlier today.If you're in skype, and press Nvda and space, it makes a noise which you usually hear when entering an edit box.This then done, skype takes on the attributes of the old skype 7 layout, IE, tabbing between conversation list, arrow keys for chat history, and the like.Hope someone finds that useful.

It means to essentially put it on the top or bottom of your deck. On the top, it means that it will be the next card drawn while bottom is usually used against somebody. Regarding gems, yes, I do understand that they can be hard to optain if you do not play online, but if you don't play online it is very hard to comment on balancing, at least it would be for me since I would not go above 180 HP and thus many decks would be pointless. Death simbol is hardly worth it for example at 180 since a fighting deck, normal or whatever would win the round 2 times by the point you reach level 30.

I was very pleased to see that today's update to the game introduced music and sounds which you can turn off and on in options. I tried it with sounds too, and it's very cool! The game has also had economical and combat adjustments over various updates, as well as lots of grammatical fixes. If you haven't checked out this one yet, definitely do so if you're looking for a thinking person's rpg and leave the dev a nice review if you like it. This game has really come a long way, and he's done quite a bit to make it more accessible. In all my searching, I have not been able to find a playable game with combat quite like this on the play store.

Words I've actually laid hands upon I tend to spell correctly, while words I mostly just hear online tend to get mangled unless I specifically check the spelling.One thing I have been doing lately is just asking Siri how to spell things. Ok so I see your issue. After you call the mainmenu function, you put a left brace as supposed to a right brace. As for online support, bgt's documentation gives a pretty good description of how to use the network object. Darren:I did nothing, which should normally be sanctioned with a permaban even from the TextSpaced game itself.I guess what I did, Apollo would summarize with something like (excessively annoying the TextSpaced community on its Discord chats", (although that definitely wasn't my intention), and after he permabanned me from the chats for that, I complained about the case in a forum of another online game I still play occasionally.Ok, banning, or maybe even permabanning me from TextSpaced Discord chats for that would be eventually justified, but he could really at least left me play the game itself, especially by knowing how much it meant to me.It indeed kept me occupied, and entertained me during the very most of my vast spare time, which I simply cannot find anything to fill it with now, and it doesn't look like I will ever be able to find a replacement for that game.(knowing my sophisticated game expectations, not even one close to it)Since regardless of being permabanned from it, I still say TextSpaced is, by far, the very best textual game I ever played, plus it is one, which I am able to almost totally perfectly play as a blind gamer with screen reader.So it is actually by far the very best game I found, and played since my vision loss!If Apollo would let me just play TextSpaced again, (so only to play it), totally regardless of my personal oppinions and convictions, I would promise, and do for him literarily whatever he demands!Cacciofrom Hungary

Hi.As recently mentioned in a previous topic, I've transferred from apple to android.However, I had made purchases for the game, and had a save on the IOS version.I've contacted the Email which was listed on the Google Play store, but have had no response.Further more, I had bought the welcome offer on another device, and now can't get it downloaded on to my new phone, neither can I refund it.If someone has had a similar experience and found a solution, please tell.Thanks in advance

Wow, lots of questions @dark, I'll attempt to answer them.Different players will start in different parts of the universe, to see what is around you, cou can use the nearby option under FTL which is under helm. If you are looking for a specific strucutre, such as a trading structure to sell your cargo, you can either use the FTL trading macro by typing "FTL trading" in the top level menu or visit Helm > FTL > Structures > Tradings > Your preference, this will show places you have discovered. If you haven't discovered any sectors yet this may not show a lot, so you will need to explore by travelling to near by sectors.Your light drive will charge over time, a Shuttle charges a light year of travel every 5 minutes and yes, it is a difficult game everything has to be worked for. You should aim at getting a faster ship when possible (ships are cheaper then you think), most player controlled shipwrights have crafted their own ships that are pretty quick and of course NPC shipwrights have their own collection as well. That was my first iteration of the deck, where it took me 32 rounds just to pull Ancient Ruin. There were also a lot of misses and sleep turns in there (I think the fight was vs. the Hypnotic Bush, or whatever it's called). Depending on type, I've had 180-HP fights last, like, 8-12 turns before. I am going to build a bonna fide avalanche deck and see how that goes, because I feel like it will absolutely crush.Also, gems are kind of hard for me to come by. I do a forty-minute council run, and I get two gems. That's...kind of really not at all worth it, so I don't want to then blow those gems on a training fight like that. No thanks.Remember, please, that I really don't care for the rest of the game. I think it's neat, but I'm not a big fan of the way the rest of the game plays out. The only reason I play is the battle cards stuff.

Well, I guess your best bet would be to start reading written braille either traditionally on paper or on a braille display so you can subcontiously learn the correct spelling, if you read enough, it will come automatically.Greetings Moritz.

Autocorrect?  In all seriousness, though, I would advise you narrow it down to groups of words that give you the most trouble. If you're writing jurnal (without the o) and not journal (with the o), I'm sure you struggle with words containing "ou." Focus on words like journal, flour, pour, etc. Although, based on your example, it seems like your issue may be more akin to phonetics. I'm not a linguist, but this would be my best advice to you.

What is that game I am thinking of?

It was being developed a while ago. It had buttons and was basically a text adventure, it also had sounds for the buttons and really good background music. It was on the computer only and I played the small beta. It was about the Nahility or something like that. Basically a syfy city that is under a force field outside which their is a presence which sometimes gets in to the city and touches the people within. It makes them less seign or something. The first task you got was helping organize a marathon and some small bombs were found in the process. It was a very short beta. You were a clone in that game and this was your first job streight out of the cloning center. I wish emails were working for forum posts!

Hi all, guys! Today I was completing the Farm Tutorial on the GDE page and was thinking of doing a sort of Bomber Man game in wich you are in a grid and when you locate an enemy you can put a mine in the cell but you have a limited time for doing this and the each enemy disapears after, say, 5 seconds. you have to reload your weapon from time to time. You have a certain number of enemies in the grid and your goal is to try to eliminate all of them. Would it be possible doing such a thing using gde? It would be just a small example of the charatteristics of GDE; do you have suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Blind Misspelling Issue

I have been writing english for a very long time, I learned to write when I was about 5 It is my second language. I constantly spell little things wrong every time. I miss a double letter or I spell something the way it sounds. Things like jurnal instead of journalor other examples of really simple stuff like that. What do you all suggest for learning how to spell properly. This is rather an anoying nusence which crops up every so often when I am typing. It also happens with words like injury and such. Any help is well apreciated.

I'm guessing you need the setup rst file, since the rapid storage technology driver is the one you're having trouble with. Forget the zip file, you don't need it. Optane memory is not of use either, if my memory is correct it's a very, very expensive ssd which has the speed of RAM.

It's not for all stages and characters, there are different passwords for different characters and stages. I know that one of the passwords was posted here, but I don't know which topic it's in. The password that was posted here unlocks the Grand Cruiser from the Bokurano Daibouken games.

You misunderstand the guide, the point to resetting is that you gain massive amounts of plasmids for it. Somewhere around 100-120 is the goal to gain from a reset.You'll never get that many from gene mutations, those are only a minor bonus.

SBYW? is minecraft? um no it's not. The only alike things are multipal servers and building. There are no enamies, you can't dig, there are no tools, SBYW uses tiles not blocks...
