Hi everyone.  If my computer allows it, I should have a recording of the game's opening and first dungeon next Friday.  In the mean time can anyone suggest a candy that can give one a chill?  The only one I can think of is "Yourk peperment paddies", and I am trying to avoid using the candies I used in cc1.  I also need to come up with candies that in the game could deal a shock, as well as candies that can deal direct fire, or and earth type damage.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks again.

@Wastelander, good to know, is that also the case with the scorpian pit and other businesses you can own? Actually, perhaps a message about them giving you yearly tribute might be nice.Also, when exactly does the game autosave? I would assume it was every year or everytime you return to the home screen if you activate the option, but for some reason my autosave was about four years behind my regular save file, indeed I started saving yearly to keep things going.

Completely agree with many of these, but don't forget freeman49's games like new horizons, the  compilation 1 is good too.Then, how about Eamon remastered if you want something single player and rpg like, Infinicrawl and trimps are definitely worth a go too, and don't forget dragon village if you want a tactical game.

I watched the GitHub repository for any new changes. Someone opened an issue and later emailed the author and it eventually got ported. The port initially showed up as a Dropbox link somewhere but it was added to the main repository shortly after. Note that the repository includes all the addons Nick has written for NVDA in one, you can download the full archive here, and to convert them to packages that NVDA can install, you just need to go into an addon's directory, select all, then zip the files and rename the extension from .zip to .nvda-addon.

Hello. I bought gtaV from rockstargames.com I've installed the game launcher in order to download the game but i've run into a problem. the fucking recapcia. Every time i try to sign in and solve the recapcia i get this. Your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process I've checked for malware, cleared my cookies and followed the vague instructions set down by google to try solving this problem. but it's still happening. any thoughts?

Aaron is correct, about the messages link, though if you don't have the screen reader friendly layout it will show as a graphic with some dashes, but still contain the word messages. Actually Brad, the quests give more xp each go, and you get one per level, then there are group quests which are quests you can sign up to with other people, and the more people signup the better everyone's reward.

@8 with all due respect, before saying something is crap, maybe use it a bit more? Unigram's or Telegram's purpose for that matter is not only calling. Granted, you are completely right that calling is at the moment unstable, but I choose Telegram's instant messaging over laggy Skype any day. Now that's a really crappy app. @6 no NVDA addon, but there is a pull request in progress to add an app module for Unigram natively to NVDA. It should allow you to automatically read messages as well as read them with NVDA plus ctrl plus numbers the same way you could do back in normal, old Skype days.

@7 i would seriously wonder if you need to make a reinstall of windows. Especially then if it came outa nowhere basically. I would try to go back a version since it offers you this and then you can do the new functions update manually. Btw, whatis bme? If it is a comp reseller of tech support, i would always be carefull. Adleast in germany, unfortunately these things have gotten more money hungry then helpfull in most cases. Example, when my comp had a problem with pagefile they made me reinstall my whole computer with a new hartdrive.

I do have several problems right now and it doesn't seem like someone on the NVDA mailing list knows how to help me with those/knows an answer. The library overview is pretty much accessible though. I do have several problems, like Audible automatically focuses a given control as soon as you press the space bar (start/pause playback), no matter which control you're focusing right now. I'd like to remember these elements or even ignore the focus event, but noone could tell me if that is possible and all my tests failed. I'll try to find a solution for that and will try to get the add-on to a state in which it can be used by all of you.

@5Ok, the docs on the command prompt aren't powershell.  Powershell is it's own unique thing.  Windows has two shells now, and they actually introduced some support for Powershell here.VSCode is just an ultra-powerful text editor. I brought it up because you mentioned it first, so I thought you were using it.  But since ultra-powerful ends at only Windows C/C++ debugger that's fully accessible and doesn't suck, there you go.  Unfortunately it has a word navigation bug that they can't fix because Chromium stuff, but you can get used to that.I have applied my Google magic (which you shouldn't feel bad about, since quickly finding this info requires knowing exactly what to look for).  SDL is introducing a main function between you and the OS, then redefining main in your program so that it can run it's function instead. You need to get the linking right for this to work.  I've got somenpossibly outdated docs saying you need to link to an sdl_main.lib.  Do you have that? If so, pass them to the compiler and I think this will just work for you.

@4.You were correct. Hello World doesn't break, the #include "SDL2/include/SDL.h" does.The reason why I used the developer powershell was because of this link which discusses using visual studio developer tools from the command line.Gonna look into VS Code, I didn't know that those were two different sides of the coin.Thanks for the cmake lists, going to look through that as well.

@sightless - Hey fella! Do you mean how a reticule would change to indicate that you're currently lined up to shoot someone? That's an interesting one that I hadn't thought of. Come to think of it back when I used to play CoD I remember the reticule turning green if you were lined up on an a friendly and red if you were lined up on an enemy. I think that would be perfectly do-able - but the sonification would likely need to be a looped tone that plays so it can start up really quickly. Could maybe have one tone for friendlies and another for enemies. Also, at present most configs poll memory 10 times per second so there could be up to 100ms delay - but this is per-config modifiable so maybe could drop the poll delay to 10ms or maybe even lower. I don't think I have a PC shooter that currently changes reticule when lined up - just tried out Quake Champions and that doesn't seem to have such friendly/enemy reticule changes. Do you happen to know of any non-CoD games that do that?@flameAlchemist - SoniFight could quite likely help to make some RPG games more accessible (there's already some configs for adventure games such as Day of the Tentacle Remastered and Beneath A Steel Sky), but as mentioned previously creating configs for games can be a tricky process and takes quite a lot of time and effort.

@3To start with the last point first, I give you Synthizer's CMakeLists.txt.  You will need to learn a little to use it, but your CMakeLists.txt will be much shorter than that one.  I link mine because I am 99% sure you will be able to follow it, and walk away from it not terrified of CMake for simple programs.Now, the quickest way to debug the above program: take what you have, remove the sdl header, remove the main body, make it print hello world. Add the SDL header back in, see if that breaks it. Add the body back in, see if that breaks it.  Your code itself is right as far as I can tell, we need to know which step of getting from an empty file to what you have makes the compiler mad.Don't use Developer Powershell.  Instead, launch the x64 native tools command prompt, then type powershell.  The developer powershell is kinda new and as far as I can tell doesn't give you all the right things for C/C++ development.  But if you use the older native command prompts and drop into powershell that way you're fine.  This probably doesn't directly solve your issue here, but it will probably solve other issues you will have in the not too distant future.  If you're on a 32-bit install of windows, do this but use the X86 native tools command prompt instead.GCC and anything trying to get GCC on Windows is a dead end without a very very good reason (hint: you don't have a very very good reason until roughly my level of programming and usually not even then).  Either use MSVC or Clang.VSCode is not Visual Studio.  Visual Studio orchestrates builds through Msbuild when you press the build button, which will handle compiling and linking.  If you're building yourself you don't get that help unless you use something like CMake, which knows how to do all the things VS does for you.  VS might be accessible enough to be worth using these days, I haven't tried it, but VSCode is giving you 99% of what VS would give you without any accessibility headaches so on the whole I'd just work out the actual problem instead of thrashing around like you are trying different tools and hoping one will work.  In general, thrashing around and trying different tools hoping one will work never fixes the problem, and there's always a reason, even if we can't see what that is right now.The compiler is step 1 of a two-step process, but you haven't had to deal with the gory details because you have yet to do a multi-file project.  The compiler compiles a .c file to a .obj file, then you pass all the .obj files to the linker.  So far you've gotten away unscathed because compilers are nice by default and just assume that they should call the linker for you.  I believe that just passing sdl2.lib to cl.exe might be enough, but learning the cl.exe command line options and doing a basic CMakeLists.txt are probably about the same difficulty.  If you want to know cl.exe, you need to read MSDN docs on cl.exe, specifically the option reference.  Nothing else really explains how to use it, since the Microsoft way is use Visual Studio (to their credit, that's changed. But you don't undo literally 20 year of not documenting with wishes).Now, the thing is, you actually need several more options to cl.exe at least, if the goal is to write a game.  By default the compiler doesn't optimize, which makes C about as slow as Python, or worse.  It also links you to the debug versions of the runtime libraries by default, which are also very slow.  The point of not optimizing is you get the clearest errors and build very very quickly, but in the worst case you're slower than even Python, so if you want to give this to people and do actual releases you'll need to figure out the right options for a release.  You don't need to get this right while developing, at least, not until the game is suddenly massively slow even though this is C, which won't happen for a while.  But you should be aware.  In most build system generators like CMake, there will be something called the build type, or the build variant, or whatever: you flip it from debug to release and you're done, possibly add a few extra options on.Now, because I am me, I happen to know that for distribution with cl.exe you probably need /O3 /MT, and you probably want /GL /LTCG as well for maximum performance.  There's I think 2 or 3 other important ones I'm not remembering right now: I haven't done this manually in a very long time indeed.But anyway, what are your next steps: first, breathe, and realize that this might be the point where you need to properly learn some things you've gotten to disregard till now.  Second, hope that someone who isn't me spots the obvious problem--it might be simple and I'm just not seeing it.  But then:Edit that file down as much as humanly possible. Take it all the way to hello world. Then add the pieces back in as slowly as you can compiling at each step and find out which breaks it. Not sure why copying the save file to C:\Users\PatK\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles using the steam version, and then going to storry mode, it loads the story from the beginning talking about dealing with a guard. I even tried recopying once I died but no luck. Do I copy the save folder over instead of just the files to the root profiles folder?

@220, it really depends.You could have a central game manager class and put your spawn functions in thereYou could have a module responsible for spawning enemies.You could wire it within your main_menu function (don't).It's really up to you. Typically I air on the side of caution, putting as much into classes as I can. Doing so sometimes makes my code more independent, I.e, I could pull out enemy.py and open source that single file without releasing the entire project.

I'm not sure as to how to link libraries in the dev powershell. The tutorial did mention adding the file in VS code, but I figured that, ur, the cl command would do it for me? Figures me being wrong.Trouble is, googling the question doesn't give me much of an answer. All the articles I found keep talking about doing it directly with VS, something I really can't use do to how laggy it's input and navigation is on my end.The tutorial also has a guide on setting SDL up with mingw on windows, but I lucked out there as well. No matter what I download and or install, something either doesn't work as the guide on using the said installer says it should or does not come with the software. The latter option forces me to google even more and fail to find anything useful as of now.I did manage to install GCC once, but when I did gcc -v it printed something along the lines of 0.92 or somewhere in that range, causing me to conclude that the installer was broken. It was indeed, but I digress.I heard of cmake files and do think that you are right in a sense that I need to start using them... but one step at a time as they say.

os.path.join("a", "directory", "*.mp3")Which will either use / or \ depending on your platform.You don't need (and probably don't want) absolute paths. If you do, there is also os.path.abspath, which will convert relative paths to absolute paths and a whole bunch of other os.path functions that are useful in that module for whatever you might want to do.

@8There are lots of adults beyond audiogames.net that would, but audiogames.net is in many ways one of the worst internet communities you could write an online game in, so it is by no means surprising to me that most of the online games here fail for social reasons.Also, SoundRTS was actively played online for years and years, and I suspect would still be if development hadn't stopped.  Fortnite is much more similar to SoundRTS than anything: you get your group of already existing friends together and play it.Also Audioquake was popular for quite a while as well, and I have a friend who played it enough back in the day that he still remembers how even 10 years on.But overall and to everyone, not just @8, I wish we would fix our own problems and then think about whether or not it's worth these petitions.  Fortnite can't be made accessible.  Audioquake being made accessible was a fluke and in part because of the age of the technology.  The GTA mod isn't ever going to be putting us on par with sighted people and the point it's trying to prove was proven by Audioquake already anyway.  Just about the only thing I've heard of that I think has a chance in hell of working is Nolan's Godot project, but only because Godot actually makes sense to try for from a technical perspective and because Nolan literally wrote a screen reader once upon a time, and I am 99% sure that will also end at us using it to make games for us, not us using it to make already existing sighted games accessible.These petitions and efforts are just sad to me, as someone who actually understands what modern sighted games are.  Even if by some small chance one of them worked out, you still aren't going to be playing on par of even a sighted newbie.  Audioquake ended at making blind-specific maps without light sources because sighted people would log into the server and mow down the blind people like grass.  Is it really so worth it if your friends are holding themselves back for you?

The error is odd, but not for the reason you think.  What links to sdl2.lib?  Does their tutorial say you don't have to? I would be expecting it to dump an entire page of errors at minimum.  There are ways for headers to link libraries automatically specifically on windows, but almost no one but Microsoft uses them.This is the point where you want to graduate to CMake by the way.  You're about to learn how hellish orchestrating compiler commands is.

Well, since I am watching curently season 7 of got, I fegured, why not give my take on John and Danys relation.first, let's say that I thought that John is ice and dany is fire, it seem to make sence at first, but then I thought well ice is coold, but john is not.I ceis after all the simol of the north, and ice is unforgiving, but John is nither cold nither unforgiving. He is kind, good, and honest, to the point that even Ned stark would congratulating for his honor, choosing piece even for his enemyes, proven that she told the trueth to cersei in the final of season 7. Witch to my mind does not feet so John has to be fire? right?no I don't know, but I will write my opinion about that in another post for now I want to say, that in contrast fire is.whildfuriousunforgivingit trycks waterand it only burns brightGiven on this contrast I would think that Dany should have the opposite trats that John has, where he forgived the whildlings, even if they hadn't kneelt to him, whilst Daenerys did not forgive two preasoners Randil Tarly and his son.where she is recklass and entitled, she holds humbleness close to his hart probably this modesty is given from the fact that he had a hard life?but that wouldn't be true since Dany had a harder life then him, and still she acts very cruely, endeed, I wander also what created this shift in her, or was it all from the start since she had taken her dragons?I want to know what events made John had opposite treats in comparason with Dany, and what is so diffrent to there paths?

The contrast between targerian and stark

Well, since I am watching curently season 7 of got, I fegured, why not give my take on John and Danys relation.first, let's say that I thought that John is ice and dany is fire, it seem to make sence at first, but then I thought well ice is coold, but john is not.I ceis after all the simol of the north, and ice is unforgiving, but John is nither cold nither unforgiving. He is kind, good, and honest, to the point that even Ned stark would congratulating for his honor, choosing piece even for his enemyes, proven that she told the trueth to cersei in the final of season 7. Witch to my mind does not feet so John has to be fire? right?no I don't know, but I will write my opinion about that in another post for now I want to say, that in contrast fire is.whildfuriousunforgivingit trycks waterand it only burns brightGiven on this contrast I would think that Dany should have the opposite trats that John has, where he forgived the whildlings, even if they hadn't kneelt to him, whilst Daenerys did not forgive two preasoners Randil Tarly and his son.where she is recless and entitled, she holds humbleness close to his hart probably this modesty is given from the fact that he had a hard life?but that wouldn't be true since Dany had a harder life then him, and still she acts very cruely, endeed, I wander also what created this shift in her, or was it all from the start since she had taken her dragons?I want to know what events made John had opposite treats in comparason with Dany, and what is so diffrent to there paths?

I don't really understand what you mean, but I will say that there are quite a lot of new features and bug fixes Omar and I have done in the next version.We also have some new sounds from Veljko that we are using.We also adjusted skidding, so now your car doesn't just teleport, it skiddes to the new position.There is now also a new mode, called Free Drive. This will allow you to play the game, without police or spikes. However, you will still have to drive through conditions and traffic.You can now pick from 3 different tracks, but if you have any more tracks you'd like added to the radio, as long as they are not infringing on anyone's copyright, feel free to contact me or Omar.

Hi there,@1: You have somewhat mixed the syntax, this:[i for i in os.walk(path): if i.endswith(".mp3")]:is not possible, you can't open a block on list. Plus the : symbol before if is also problematic.Correctly, perhaps the shortest possible version is:for i in [j for j in os.walk(path) if j.endswith(".mp3")]:Of course this is quite messy. I would use somewhat more meaningful name for the loop variable. That of course isn't necessary for the array selection, as its scope is very small and quite obvious, although this is rather subjective, so don't take it as a rule.Depending on how you're planning to use the list of found files, you may also consider saving it to a separate variable, it would not only higher readability, but also use of the selection, as you'd be able to make functions to jump to previous and next file without a big magic.Also, are you sure, that you know, how does the walk method of os module work? Or better said, how is it supposed to be used?It returns results in a quite specific structure consisting of mix of absolute and relative paths, stored in a nested array. I don't see any code here to deal with that, and even if I believed that the pygame's mixer could handle it, there is still the if i.endswith condition, which will perhaps crash when it gets a list in i, and even if it didn't, you'll filtrate out the absolute paths of directories, and just have names of files, what isn't very usable, when your user has entered a path completely different than the program's location. You'll need absolute paths in that case.The same goes for Masonian's code.It isn't a hard problem, although there are some quite complex solutions on net. All you need to do is to prepare your loop to concatenate the path to usable format, that's all about it.Best regardsRastislav

I'm sorry man, but Epic games just won't do it, no matter how many signatures it gets. It doesn't help them in any way because being blind, we  won't have any reason to by the skins, back bling, or dances. I'm sorry to bring this up so bluntly, but I just can't see it happening. I apologize for not being available to update you guys with how the video went last time. Unfortunately, I had another blue screen moment, right in the middle of a Crazy Party battle. This stream was a bit slow, but there were some funny and interesting parts. Unfortunately, I will not be able to play GTA this week. I had a blue screen while the game was opened, and now Steam doesn't think it's even on my computer at all because it keeps asking me to download it and install it. I'd have to remove GTA from my computer and redownload it, which I won't be able to do in time for the stream tonight. Also, do to some circumstances that have gone down involving my neighbors and my apartment maniger, I've had to change some things up regarding my stream. I've uploaded this video Which should explain everything that's going on in case you guys want to know. Hopefully I can come up with another game to fill the time slot tonight. See you guys then.

hi well it depends on what project you want to make. for some things you can just use SSH. however if you want to use it as a desktop or play around with linux. you can use Debian. you can take your micro sd card and put Debian  on it. then when you set it up, you can turn on the screen reader from the boot menu. it also supports braille, then you can install other screen readers. if you are thinking of doing projects with android, you can also install android on the pi.

You can use rufus portable, go to  rufus.ie to download it. Not sure if it requires admin rights to make a USB with it though.

I have a server running. Choose slannon from the server list if you're running version 1.2c12. If you want to play Crazymod, change to Crazymod from the options menu.

@Erick I know you would already like the new version, but I would like to comment on this because the game developer is my friend.1. Your enemy has 6 different lightsabers. Isn't this enough? I think that there is more lightsabers in future, but we can't see today which happen tomorrow.2. You want new version, but remember. This game is Konsta's hobby.If he feels that he wants work with this so he works, but this game is not his everything. Some days he will work with this many hours, and some days he doesn't do anything, because he has friends, he has job and he has life. And it doesn't help if someone spams him almost every day and asks same questions again and again.I know that he adds many things in game in future, so let him work in peace.And one day we'll have an even better game.3 and 4. I tested game some times and I didn't found those problems.
