I mean if the mainland was actively contributing to their growth and welfare then ok, they might be obligated to comply, but if not, then why not just relinquish control do they can fend for themselves, then maybe they can collaborate once they're stronger and everyone vebefits. Its just seems counter productive to me to hold onto all this extra land if you aren't going to do anything with it, and greedy if you're just going to feed off their supplies. Thats just going to cause resentment and animosity between the peoples however you cut it. Re: A WESTERN DRAMA WILL BE RELEASE 9th OCTOBER 2020 Morning all.So after playing this abit, here are my thoughts.Story: Well, it's a western, so you can't expect a fleshed out deap story. for what it is it's ok. Action, cheap talk and what not.Gameplay: A pritty huge disapointment and what I would call quite a fail. You walk through a linear world without any side tracking, exploration or any form of creativity. The only thing you do is walk behind your guide and enjoy the soundscape, which is seriously lacking any form of detail, apart from the ocasional cat or dog.During fights with weapon or fist, it's the same hear and react type of gameplay we have seen dozen of times by now and which got repetitive years ago. on the plus side, they tried something new with multiple enemys approaching, but this doesn't help the fact that the system is boring as ass.Sound: Well,it's ok I guess. They removed that strange car drive by during the horse riding scenes, so that's a point in their favor.The revolvers don't sound that great. I'm sure if one would have searched the sound librarys abit longer, you would find more realistic sounding guns or revolvers/shotguns.The horses also don't really sound like horses I would expect.Yes, the sounds of trotting and galloping are ok, but this is not how horses on grass, stone or other surfaces sound.The fact that they sound like draft horses and not slimmer and faster horses that you would expect with bounty hunters is possibly something that goes to much into detail, but I'll leave it here anyways.The biggest Plus possibly is the translations into different languages. The English one is pritty good, the German one though seams quite lackluster. Characters often don't seam to have any emotion, they use strangely build sentences and generally lack any form of engagement.So, what's there to say. If you enjoy simple entertainment for some hours, yeah, go for it. But if you expect something new and awesome, I would refrain from buying the game.Greetings Moritz. You can play with something if it stays nearby wheere you can watch it and control it, but you'd better damned well give it back!As to why China doesn't want others acknowledging Taiwan's independence? It's the same as any big body of power that doesn't want to admit that it's wrong about anything, and also because when Chaign Kai Shek and his pro-democracy supporters left for Taiwan, it was still under Chinese rule after Japan handed it back when they lost the war. The issue has been contended ever since. And because of their unwillingness to grant Taiwan independence, the official name of Taiwan is still the Republic of China and it also appears as Chinese Taipei in other places. Even amid the pandemic when Taiwan was trying to get a seat on the UN to discuss responses, Chinakept getting in the way... and that's proven unfortunate considering how good their pandemic response was. If it had the multiple enemy fighting mechanic where you have a dozen enemies attacking you at once and you had to pop up and attack when there was a break, I would love it even more. A Blind legend could've done that with hoards of beasts or zombies and it could've been, well, sscary. Maybe it wouldn't have worked, but I really like the combat in a Western Drama, it's something we haven't really seen in audio games, so hats off to the designers for conceiving the idea. Ah, the reason I'm using colour triggers at all is because GMCP doesn't duplicate the combat lines, and there's nothing in the output to indicate 100% what is and isn't a line of combat (aside from the colour). Having played the game for a while now, there are still monsters I find that have unique and wonderful attacks that won't be picked up by trying to match the text alone.An example of a regular combat line that has a sound attached is:"You thrust your sword at the goblin's head, impale his helmet and drill it slightly into his head."GMCP will report nothing of this event. But the colour trigger will pick it up, evaluate the type of sound, and fire a random matching sound for that.In this case it is a 'thrust hit' sound. There are a bunch to choose from and it will play a random one in that folder which is nice because it gives a bit of variety to combat. A thrust attack is a common and normal event in combat so it's predictable.An uncommon attack could be something like:"The big gnarled giant grabs your arms and tries to rip you in half, but you kick out with your feet and manage to escape."With colours, this is likely to show up as a 'dodge' event so you could still get a sound to play. But trying to pick it up with text alone is really only possible once you've come across it.A current GMCP event with a sound is something like your current room sector being "Forest". This will play the background forest loop, and shoot off random foresty sounds at random intervals as well.You're right about colours being tricky. What I learned (quite late in the picture) is that Mushclient standard colour triggers match the colour on the first character of each line. So if you happen to get a small prompt symbol like '>' at the start of your line, or something else, it won't be picked up.If all of this info were send through GMCP, that'd be amazing. Next best thing is probably something that can be toggled on in the mud to send special output that we can look at to strip the necessary info and gag it with a simple regex like {SOUND: combat_hit} or something. I am guessing MSP works something like this but I don't really know.

I'd say also get the expo CLI, or if you're just starting in React Native, the create-react-native-app CLI, and use the terminal as much as possible instead of just using keyboard shortcuts and menu options to run and deploy to the phone. Emulators will not help you, at least not now. Now, if you wanted to develop for android, it'd be a bit easier with a VM, but unfortunately, that's not the case for MacOS. If it says "Come on, wade!" now. After you die and play up til that point, it'll say that again. It's scripted.But as people said, the acting is good. Kinda understandable though about the gun sounds since guns aren't as advance as now back there. I like many aspects of the gameplay. Challenging? Can't say. But it kidna gives me a thrill and something to focus on. It can be clunky sometimes, but it's awesome. Re: your opinion on china Both my parents are from different parts of asia, so I kinda grew up in a home with Eastern values, and even lived there for 3 periods of 2 to 4 months each, so I'd like to think that I'm pretty cultured in this regards. However I admit that there's always room to grow, and I will confess to having a preference towards how things are here in the west. They did always tell me that I have been americanized. I will say though, that US citizens celebrating independance day while in England is not unlike Taiwan wanting to celebrate Taiwan day, but if if the Chinese government doesn't like it because it doesn't sit well with their culture, then it is what it is I guess. I just don't agree with it, vut I gotta give lots and lots of love to the Englanders who are able to bury the hatchet and celebrate with us, and I can only hope that more nations who are at odds with one another can follow the example. As far as recommending as the first backend language, I don't know if I would go so far as to encourage it, only because there is somewhat of a learning curve when dealing with deployment, integration, and all the asynchronis coding fun. But it is the path that many newcomers are taking, so there is something to be said about that. Oh, and it's actually become very popular. If you follow some project recommendations on freeCodeCamp, you could learn it no problem! And I dare say, to prototype a project, or to get something set up really quick, I've been using Ruby on Rails lately. I know, a little older, but it works to get things up and running in no time!And I don't really know what you mean by "legal terminology database." Node is not database technology. Super Smash Bros Ultimate Help Alright! So I'm probably a bit late to the party, but I recently bought Super Smash Bros Ultimate for the Switch. It's been a bit since I've played console games without speech. I use to have so much patience to figure these things out. Anyway, I know this game is playable by us. You guys have any tips on how I can complete the Adventure mode? My partner helped me memorize some menu structures, but I'd like to ideally do some trial and error and OCR work myself. Is there a good app to be recommended? I figured out some combos and general fighting controls, but I wish I could equip spirits and give my character levelups like snacks. I appreciate any tips. Re: Geas: classless rpg mud with soundpack Well if they are using all the GMCP modules, as far as I know, that would completely eliminate the need to ever use colors. By getting it working, I mean in my own projects, since I want to use it in several other MUDs that use it but I'm not really sure how to handle it.Parsing output is annoying at times though. I have never used colors since I've never found it a reliable way to match. Instead, I will create regular expressions to match on something unique. I also use a plugin that creates virtual buffers for screen reader users that are not visible anywhere on the screen for sighted users. I do this for all of the channels. Most of the time, I will make one long regex to match every channel in the game, then in my script, decide how to handle it based on the one it matched.But yeah for the case in how you have yours set up, for me to get into it to configure it will require some fuckery. Nothing major, but you'd be surprised how many people don't learn all the features of their screen readers. Though I think that's getting better in time. I would definitely need to re-add the alt keys, undo whatever hell has befallen the input field and then find and fix any conflicts that blocking the alt keys messed up. I.e. many functions use a callback style, where the first argument is an error (if any) and the second the actual return value. IME that's pretty unique to _javascript_, but if you just mentally invert how you think of the problem (I.e. the function isn't returning a value, it calls a callback with the value or an error after computation) it can be conceptualized in the usual contexts. Other than that it's pretty standard, and callback style is slowly being replaced by promises and async/await.Hard to say if it's a good starter language. If you just want to slap up a website for a business, a CMS like WordPress or Ghost is probably a better bet. If you're building a web app, it's certainly a good starter language, but that doesn't make it a great fit for every problem.I don't know much about your product, but legal terminology sounds like a potentially complex space. Node can probably do fine, but you'll probably be using it as glue between existing technologies like ElasticSearch. If you're planning on rolling your own, it's probably not a good fit, but if you have to ask whether Node is a good fit there, you're probably under-estimating how complex a legal terminology database can get. I say that as a software developer with a girlfriend studying to be a paralegal, so I know enough to know how much I likely don't know, if you get my meaning. To explain a few of the limiting design features and potential remedies:Blocking Alt-key access to menusI personally use 'Alt + key' as hotkeys. For example, 'Alt + A' to wear a shield. It can be changed in the mushclient global preferences (Ctrl + Alt + G) under the General tab.Overwriting typing and command line issuesThis might be an issue with a global preference in that menu too. These preferences let you toggle on/off things like clearing the command line after sending, or keeping the last command in the command line but highlighted, scrolling through history. A few of these are also changed in your world configuration settings under the Game menu. Like you, and probably like many others, I've got a particular way I like things from years of mudding on different clients. Some of these options, like highlighting your last command or sending command echos, are probably not what you want for a screenreader because as far as I know, highlighting something will tell it to read that out again and remove focus from the MUD output window. In packaging up the VI Geas MUSHclient I tried to pre-configure it for a screenreader but it sounds like I haven't got it quite right - which is a shame because it's a real turn off for new players when they can't get the system to work enough to even be able to ask for help.If you have a look through the global preferences and world configurations and find anything that is responsible for interface issues like that, please let me know.Superfluous stuffThere's a bit of this. By far this biggest is something that was picked up on earlier: colours. The Soundpack runs on two main sources of information. The first is GMCP data. This is where the ambient environmental loops come from. When you're in a beach room, you will be listening to the ocean background track and random beach-sounds dropped in. When you're in the forest, you get a forest track, with random bird sounds and wind through the leaves. GMCP is a relatively new addition to Geas and it could be tweaked to be a little bit more stable. That said, most people don't have too much trouble getting this one working. If you get errors at the login screen, it's probably GMCP. The best fix is to set up the auto-login feature after you've gone through character creation, and re-login to the MUD.The second basis for the soundpack is colour triggers. When I hear comments saying people can hear the environment but no combat sounds, that tells me GMCP is working but the problem is the colour triggers. Geas is a highly descriptive MUD. Just about everything is described in narrative form to the player. You won't see things like hitpoints or damage points or stats in number form. This is one of my favourite things about the MUD but it also makes it very hard to write extensive triggers to recognise every type of combat event. There is however a MUD-side configuration that let's you change the colour of certain types of lines. For example, you can make every type of 'you hit your enemy' message to show up in green text. I used this as the basis for the combat sounds in the soundpack. There is one setup command in the plugin (xsetcolour setup), it changes every type of line on the MUD to a unique combination of colours, many of them are very awful like yellow text on magenta background. The plugin then uses triggers to pick up any line in that colour, interpret the line itself, and play the best sound it can find to fit the event. It then reprints the line in a readable colour for the player. To get to the point of having a highly stable and simple soundpack, we probably need to run it on something more secure than the colour triggers. They're kinda messy and frankly confusing. I have a couple of ideas here, but as mentioned, I'd like to discuss it with the Geas admins and players too. This is one of the reasons why I haven't continued working on it as it currently is. I think I'm better off using the time I have to work on the replacement idea rather than tweaking the edges of the current.Other bugs and crashesThe troubleshooting solution that has worked best for me and a few others is to either reinstall plugins when they spit out errors, or restart the client. Hopefully we get to a more stable solution soon so that isn't necessary. Unlike Visual Studio IDE on Windows, it never really branched out to cover _javascript_, Python and other languages perhaps except for C++, although I haven't looked at Xcode for quite some time so I don't remember off the top of my head.Vs Code is cross-platform and will work with ReactNative. React-Native, to build on iOS however, still needs a mac and I do believe it talks to the commandline toolchain that xCode also uses under the hood in some fashion, although I do not know the specifics of that exactly. Re: IOS Development So, I have been trying to get started, and one of the first things I learned is that Xcode, as far as I can tell does not support writing _javascript_. So, I had to download VS Code, which is pretty much the same as on Windows, just replace all of your keyboard commands that use control with command, and it functions the same. I have not ran into any accessibility issues yet. I also learned that there is a react native extension for VS Code that provides support for running your React Native project in an emulator from inside VS Code . I think it even provides support for deploying to a phone. It must interface with the Xcode API.
