Re: GDE Game Development
Re: GDE Game Development no no I'm not talking about the speed of the audio file it self, I'm talking about the speed of the action, I want it to wait until the first audio file finishes witch is the step and then I want it to play it again, because if it doesn't wait it'll keep going and that will cause a bunch of files to play at the same time, that leads me in to an other problem, audio files interrupt each other, how do I fix that? I noticed while creating the farm game that if I press s, w, a or d 2 or 3 times it interrupts the already playing sound and plays it again, I don't want it to do that. Re: GDE Game Development
Re: GDE Game Development Okay so the walking sound seems to play constantly and it doesn't have something to stop it. Can we make the sound play at a speed we choose? If so, how? Also can we make a random walking sound play each time we walk? So for example we have a stone tile, we have stone1.ogg, stone2.ogg, stone3.ogg, stone4.ogg and stone5.ogg. Can we make the game play one of these randomly each time we walk? Thanks in advance. Re: Trying to create a door I can open and close with the GDE. Sorry for double posting. But I noticed after creating the farm game as explaned in the website that if I press w 2times or any button to walk more than once at a time it interrupts the walking sound and plays an other. Does that mean that it cannot play 2 sounds or more together? I don't think it should interrupt it. If there's a way to make sounds not interrupt each other, please let me know. Regards. Re: Trying to create a door I can open and close with the GDE.
Re: Trying to create a door I can open and close with the GDE. GDE is a cool project to be honest. But the limited buttons make it hard to add more features. For example, if I'd make a game that has a lot of stats such as health stamina or whatever, I wouldn't have enough keys to check all of these things instead I'll have to make a menu for stats yet if all of the numbers from 1 to 5 are already used, you'll not be able to do anything about it, because usually the w, s, a and d keys will be used to move. But still, I could make a menu that has other menus, so let's say, I'll press 1 to open a menu, then I have, stats, weapons, save game, load game and whatever, but this would just make it harder for the players because they'll have to open the menu, open the other menu they want and then their gonna find the thing they wanted in the first place. It's maybe not designed for this type of games but just wanted to say my opinion. Regards.
