Hello everyone!First of all, thanks again for the comments on "A Western Drama". Sorry for the repetition, since I wrote it in the other thread as well, but this is what I think: each of these comments is precious, because it makes us understand what we can keep, what we must improve and what we must mercilessly discard in our next audiogame. To answer Dark, who opened this thread: we voluntarily kept the gameplay not too complicated, in their mechanics, to try to make them appreciated also by those who approach the world of audiogaming for the first time. We are strongly considering the idea of new more complex mechanics for our future project (in addition to the improvement of existing ones and the elimination of those not working). Same thing about the story. We would like to give the player more choices on how to deal with a piece of the game, for example with side quests that explore other narrative lines or things like that.As for the natives, I can answer you directly, having written the story. Since I don't know who will read it, I make a big SPOILERS warning.Spaghetti-western is, for me, a very, very strange genre. It is based on a real historical period, which was then transformed into a "shining" myth, until a handful of Italian writers, directors and musicians decided to take it and twist it again, making it something else. It is certainly full of some stereotypes, as you said, that have stratified over time, from which I probably didn't deviate much also because they make the genre what it is, in a certain sense.The issue of the natives is close to my heart, even if I probably just... "brushed" the issue. Of such a complex history I chose only a very small part, the one about the contracts proposed to the natives that were punctually disregarded, or that most of the time were just waste paper, and that allowed in a more or less violent way to steal their land.  Perhaps, dedicating only a part of AWD's story to the natives, I did not go into certain dynamics properly, even if I wanted to abandon the stereotype of good and wise natives, or ugly and bad, because I think of them only as people. The example you make on the Inquisitor is perfect, at least in the difference with A Western Drama: there the protagonist is imbued with a certain kind of Catholic culture and therefore sees everything under his very personal lens, while in our case Homerus is not the main point of view. Homerus doesn't want to be, at least in my initial idea, the point of view on the "native issue", but only his point of view, even if maybe, not going too deep into his story, I couldn't convey this idea. Spirituality in a certain sense is also "brushstroke", but I am quite convinced (perhaps wrongly) that the natives lived it in a very different way from how we live it. This does not make the natives the good sages who "saw beyond" that we have seen in many representations, but only people who saw things in a very different way from how we see them, from a culture far from our own. I probably used a few native terms because I saw it all from the eyes of the two protagonists, one of indifference and one of hatred... I wouldn't want to have put myself in their shoes too much, damn it  I must admit that I also adapted the concept of the Circle of Stones to our narrative use, which however comes from a real structure, the Medicine Wheel. I am a great lover of astronomy of ancient peoples, and I am very fascinated by that of Native Americans. The first time I saw an image of a Wheel and studied its functioning with respect to the astronomically significant directions of space I said "how cool!"; the second time, the spaghetti-western spirit in me took over and I said "but this is a perfect arena for a final duel! I hope that Wakan Tanka can somehow forgive me...Thanks again for the constructive criticism you have given us!Andrea

To answer some of your questions:- the average length of the game is 5-6 hours;- the two new gameplays I was writing about are the fistfighting and the shootout on wagon (but I won't spoil them, so you can try them yourself);- to clear up any dubts, we would like you to know more about the game we have produced. A Western Drama is basically an arcade game  (let's say shoot em'up) with increasing difficulty curve, filled with various narrative scenes. We focused a lot on the genre because we love it and we dreamed of giving our audio gamers an experience in the Old West. We tried to create "a spaghetti-western alchemy" between gameplay, story, sound design and soundtrack, and this was the focal point that guided us in the design of the game.We would like, as I wrote, to design other audiogames, so all the suggestions and considerations we will receive on our first project will help us understand what to improve and what to change

Hi!As Liam noted, we are finally out with “A Western Drama,” which will be published on October 9.It was a long work, but we put everything we had into it, trying to create our own style.Many things have changed since the demo (as I wrote, some thanks to your comments) and we are proud of the game we made. The full version of "A Western Drama" will feature Wade's complete journey, from his first hunt as a child to all the experiences that will make him a real bounty hunter, skilled enough to face even his worst nightmares, through new enemies, two new gameplays (there are six different ones) and a real spaghetti-western soundtrack.We strongly hope to receive your support, in order to move forward and renew ourselves, both in terms of design and new production choices, trying to create other audiogames. And hope you are all staying safe too!@KenshiraTheTrinity, probably yes, but after the pc version.@Muhammad Hajjar, we are glad you liked the demo version, hope you'll find the full one even more exciting!@Wes Hollow, the final demo version released (German version, which includes the English and Italian languages too) has now a timer for the inputs, so that even if some of them are missing, the final drum sound will still play after a few seconds. @Dark, yeah, we consider the story of A Western Drama one of its most important aspects, to make you connect with Wade and his world. As for the difficulty, the game will definitely get harder as you progress in the story, without ever become unforgiving, also with some additional minigames in the final version. The duel mechanics and concentration points work just as you described!@soren, thank you for your feedback, we are really glad to have the German dubbing in A Western Drama

Hi!First of all, thanks for your feedbacks. It's really nice to see such an active community Thank you also for your comments on the German dubbing. We couldn't find many games in this language, and we are proud to be creating one.Hoping not to break any rule of this forum (the shades of newbie threaten me mercilessly!) I would like to start a small devlog about A Western Drama, to tell you what we are doing (also thanks to your comments) and something more about the game mechanics.In addition to telling you that we have quickened the response time for turning around, I would like to use this first post for a quick overview of A Western Dama. Our demo (intentionally!) doesn't say everything about the game, only showing some of the mechanics we're implementing.A Western Drama is, basically, a story-driven game. One of the main purposes of the game is definitely to make you live an immersive experience in the Old West and an engaging story. We're big fans of western movies, games and comics, so we really hope so.On the other hand, the "game-soul" of A Western Drama, as for most of the gameplay, is arcade. The fights will become more difficult ... we love shootouts full of enemies and guns, while bullets bounce everywhere  We have chosen to implement a "rhythm system" to fight against multiple enemies, in order for the player to be free to face many of them simultaneously.Thanks for taking the time to read this first post, and for your support
