Even after replaying to hear the other ending and see if I'd missed any more people (and stubbornly try to get into that club; spoiler, you can't), it took me only a good 20 minutes, half an hour at most.You have an audio enhancer and a compass. I also support Connor's idea. I actually wasted far too much time this way; standing just where I thought the door might be, waiting for it to open, then trying to dash through. Took me a bit of repositioning and thinking I might just be bumping into walls before I finally gave up and realized that nope, no hidden things to be found here.The main reason why it would be cool is because it would actually require a conscious decision on the part of the player. All the dialogs you can encounter are fun, sure, but they are mostly encountered at random. They do seem to appear at similar places each time, so you can memorize them eventually, but when you're new, the trick is just walking everywhere and hoping you stumble upon something.

Generally they're not a problem anyway; delete them as you go, and you should be fine.The code you're using definitely should fit in there.

@sneak pay attention to the brackets. If you put statements inside each other, the resulting program only checks for the inside statement if the outside statement is true. There are times when that is useful -- when two conditions should be met for something to happen -- but if you want both if statements to be executed, make sure to get out of the first one with down arrow before starting the second.Also, in regards to space: The editor automatically makes empty lines. That can sometimes result in you running out of lines. So, what I do once done with writing a statement, is press backspace, then down arrow.@voyager2264 I am very glad to read that! And nah, I don't need any shout-outs.  All these solutions were found by other people anyway; I just collected them all in one place for easier sharing.If you do credit someone, it should be Thseus (whose name I just realized I spelled with a D! Well, I feel terrible now. Fixed.) He's the one that compiled that alternative plugin. Really amazing dude!

@Arkandias I don't know much, unfortunately. Kevin  asked me for info on how TLOU2 did its accessibility mode back when it came out, and he was considering how to improve Code 7's map. And in the past, I think they might've stated that they will look more into making the now skipped minigames accessible after the whole game is out.But ... I cannot make any promises. It does function, after all, and idk how much they'll be willing to mess with it once the game is done, especially with there being another game in the works. They're good guys, so I'm definitely not abandoning hope, but we'll see.But in truth, I'm really not in contact with the devs all that much more than you could be. What conversation there is is pretty much always on public channels. So feel free to jump into the Discord server, ask questions and give suggestions.

@voyager2264 I talked about this just 2 posts above, actually. We've got several solutions for that bug now, one discovered just recently. I'm sure we can figure out how to get your game working. Check my signature. The third link in there is to a folder with puzzle tips I made. But it also contains a file with the common bugs in blind friendly mode and how to fix them. The SAPI bug is right on top of that. Could you please try the instructions there, and see if they help?Also, if you have Discord, please do join Goodwolf Studio's server (link also in my signature). Sorry for the double post, but this is pretty important.Are you a Windows user having trouble with SAPI not working at all in Code 7? Do you know anyone else who has this problem?Because another solution has just been found. Discord user Dhseus managed to get his hands on the source code of the Unity SAPI plugin the game uses, modify it slightly and recompile it into a version that works better on 64 bit operating systems. (Thank you a lot, Thseus!)So, if none of the other solutions have worked for you, please check the Code 7 Tips folder linked in my signature. Further details on where to put the file are in the Common Bugs file for those that need them, and the plugin itself is near the bottom of the folder; just search for SAPI_UNITY_DLL.I really hope this helps!

Interesting concept! Definitely sounds pleasant already. I admit I won't be buying this just yet. While the sounds are certainly relaxing, I can get something similar from sites like MyNoise.net, and so would at the moment be better off making donations to those.But I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the topic, and will be happy to buy this even for a higher price once some "game elements" get added. As others have suggested, ways to interact with the garden other than just walking around would be nice. Maybe a way for people to create their own gardens, with an option to export or otherwise share them?It's a shame you no longer plan to make this into a strategy game, actually; I would've loved to play that.

@Pool As Ficho said, closing and loading the game again fixes many of such little quirks.If not, this might be yet another problem with the VI mode. After hacking S.O.L.I., try pressing control+v to turn it off. If the scene continues as it should that way, you can press control+v again to re-enable it, and enter to repeat the dialog options if you missed them.If that doesn't work either, just upload your save file, and I'll fix it for you. Fortunately, the game saves at the start of Sam's scene. The save files are stored here:C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\GoodwolfStudio\Code 7\saveFiles

Ignore post #25. I am abandoning even the last traces of optimism about this game. Me and a friend both installed it, and even in the installation process, two things stood out:1: There is no license agreement, but you have to accept it anyway.2. By default, the game installs in C:\WINDOWS..\Otter Insanity\Cards of YoreAnd guess what happened after installing it and trying to open it? This game sounds like a really great idea, and while I am not a huge fan of card games myself, I might back this anyway, to give others a chance at playing it. I say might, because I must admit the "All Or Nothing" part makes me worried.Sure, this will be a multi-platform game. Sure, graphics are expensive. But $50,008? I really doubt they can gather up that much.Since it also required a Kickstarter, and since it's my favorite game, I looked up what Code 7's goal was. €15,000. That's $16,899.26. And sure, they managed to go beyond that goal, to €16,727 ($18,845.78). But that was primarily from the support of the much bigger sighted audience. Does Cards Of Yore have that kind of support?This honestly seems too ambitious to me. They have this huge road map of things they want to add on their page, -- and it's amazing, don't get me wrong -- but what this  means is that this is an enormous project. I am not doubting their ability as developers here, but anybody would have trouble staying motivated with something like this. Would it not be wiser to start out with a smaller, cheaper game, and then slowly add to it if there was enough interest?I am not bashing on the developers here, or trying to imply they'll just take the money and run. Though of course, with Kickstarters, that worry is always there. But I do think they'll get a huge reality check at the end of the month, when they see they've raised probably just around $5,000 or less, because -- surprise! -- the visually impaired market is small and not filled with people with highly paying jobs. If they need money, they'll have to clearly define other customer bases, and market themselves to those very well.But of course, the month has just started. Perhaps they are already doing that. Perhaps I'll be proven dead wrong by the end.

Once Episode 4: Permutation is released, all you'll have to do is open the game, and steam will automatically update it.The soundtracks will be updated as well. The soundtrack system was changed a few months ago, so I cannot give you definite answers as to how. They will likely just download automatically. If not, you can try searching for them under the DLC section of Code 7's page, and opening them.I also have them, so I'll check how updating works when it's time for that and report back.

@omer I'm honestly not sure. It works fine here.  Perhaps you need to set the same voice everywhere? Open the start menu, search for "text to speech", down arrow to Text To Speech Settings and change it to David there as well, if it isn't already. If that doesn't work, I've no clue. I don't know how this SAPI thing works; I'm just sharing advice I got from someone else.Warning!Slight spoilers forEpisode 0 ahead!Ah yes, the lights! I'm glad you found that, it's absolutely delightful. I don't think it lowers your trust with her. At least not from the little bit of spying I did in the save file. The game does remember you did it though, and if you choose the right dialog option somewhere later on, you will get a callback to it.

@Ficho they are indeed aiming for September. However, due to COVID-19 messing everything up, it will probably take longer than that. Not all of their voice actors have home studios, so they may not be available in time.But development is progressing. They already have a rough playthrough of the game from start to finish, with the different endings. Buggy, sure, but at least the core game is there.So yeah, it will happen, but might take a while. Sucks, I know. My coping strategy so far has been spreading the virus to as many other computers as I can, so other people can suffer along with me. Works well!

Potentially silly noob question incoming: I downloaded what I assume is the latest version of Tube Sim yesterday, the portable version. I tried completing the tutorial, but got stuck very quickly, at the first driving part. Apparently, the air pressure has to be above 50 for the dead man switch to work. But regardless of what I do, be it opening the doors and closing them again, enabling ventilation, disabling it, etc. mine is steady at 0.Is this a bug? Or am I doing something very stupid?

The list of things the game would need to ask the player would become too long.I suppose it could be done by reverting the save file, but that would mean that even more values would have to be reset back to what they were. And they would no doubt miss something, so soon they'd be getting even more bug reports, about how a puzzle was being skipped when it shouldn't be, or a file no longer existed, or something completely illogical that would be connected to the save file reversal in a way they couldn't trace at all.But I must admit I would also love a feature like this. Sighted people can see a portrait of the main character they're working with. It's just the one picture though, doesn't change with the emotions of the character or anything. So most of it is still left to the imagination.I was able to pick up a few details from what the devs mentioned on the Discord and in their twitch streams.Sam: A young woman with dark blond hair in a ponytail. She has makeup (eye shadow, iirc) around her eyes. In the current game you can't see it, but in the prototype she used to have a wrist pad, and that's where she saw Alex's messages.Zoya: Tall woman. I think it was mentioned that she has red hair, but that's the detail I'm least certain about. She is, obviously, wearing a headlense.Muffin: A bug-like robot, I think 8-legged, with very cute eyes. Well, very cute in general, really.That's all I'm able to remember at the moment, sorry. You could try asking the developers yourself. When asked to describe Sam on a stream, they had quite a bit of difficulty thinking of important things to mention, but they might still be able to give you some interesting details.

Allocate less energy to one side, depending on where its tilting to, until it reaches equilibrium again.While it's steady, try to make sure that both rotors have the same amount of power, so it stays that way. Here are the hints the developers provided in the Discord (which I really recommend you join):Ship Puzzle (Raven, Helios Station)1. Hint: The rotors take a few seconds to power up. Change in angle is not immediate.2. Hint: Try to use up all the energy, or most of it. You can see the available energy in the center of the ship, above Raven (or in the VI mode, by pressing shift).3. Hint: Use the tab key if you can’t type fast enough.4. @Nick I think we've found a solution! Another person emailed the devs with a problem very similar to yours, and judging from his Output Log, Unity's SAPI plugin is missing. That plugin comes packaged in with the game, so this is most likely a bug with Steam not downloading everything as it should.So, could you please try one more thing before giving up? I copied the plugin from my version of the game and uploaded it. Please download it from here:https://cloud.owncube.com/s/xCA4D7i8ZeRs3rbthen navigate to:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Code 7\code7_Data\Pluginsand paste it there. @Nick Since you mention you bought the Season Pass, I assume you'd already purchased EP 1 separately? Because if you didn't and only had EP 0 (the demo), you should've grabbed the Full Season Bundle instead, which has both EP 1 and the Season Pass in it. Fortunately, you can buy EP 1 separately if you messed up, you just won't get the usual 15 % bundle discount.As for the speech problem, I'm assuming it worked just fine before? And with jingle, I assume you mean the beep that plays after pressing ctrl+v to confirm that it worked? Odd.It could just be a case of the game loading longer than usual, perhaps? Try looking at your text to speech settings and changing them around a bit to see if that helps. If you're on Windows 10, maybe take a look at the tts settings in the 32 bit control panel (which you can find at C:\Windows\System32\control.exe). If those two don't work, then uninstalling and reinstalling might somehow fix things.I'll ask around and see if I can get any other tips.

@corykad Make sure you are focused on the game's window. Then, once Helper tells you to press control+v to enable blind friendly mode, do so, and you should hear a happy beep sound confirming that it worked. If you don't hear it, try again, maybe with the other control key or alt. Once you do, just wait for a minute or so for the game to load. Enjoy playing!

Because the saves there have to be named 1, 2 and 3, and the ID variable inside the file itself has to match the title.OK, hmm. Hmm ... true, I suppose. They are only like this because they've been forced to be, though. And most of them aren't. For example, SUVI was OK enough for the 3-4 lines she said before she died. @mastodont you're playing with hardcore mode on? Not really the best choice for the first playthrough, imo.I'm terrible at those puzzles, so can't give you any tips here. But if you can't figure it out, you should hopefully be able to skip the stealth minigame by turning hardcore mode off.As for Discord, that's a shame. It's pretty much accessible now. All buttons are labeled, all menus work as they should, etc. And for the most part, it just works like a web page. So I don't think you would have much trouble with it. It's your choice, though.

If you did mention earlier that Muffin doesn't move at all for you, I must've missed it.No, I don't know what could be causing this.  Nobody else has reported such a bug before, as far as I know. So could you please answer the usual troubleshooting questions? I'll notify the devs about this.Could you tell us about the computer you're using? Hardware specifications, OS, anything else you think might be important. Also, which platform did you buy the game on, and do you have the newest version?You mention it working just fine on another computer; did you use the same save file there? Regardless, it'd be great if you could upload it, so the devs would have more to work with.Was there any other odd behavior in the previous Muffin levels? (apart from that stupid dialog bug)So, here's what we'll do until this is fixed. Since you mentioned having another computer, I recommend you copy the save file over there, complete the Muffin level, move to another room so the gave is saved, then copy the save file to the buggy computer again. Once you've gone through an air shaft once, you don't have to do it again. If you don't have access to that other computer anymore, let me know and upload the save file here (which you should do anyway), and I'll complete it for you.

@Robokop but I tried it yesterday, twice, and Muffin exits just fine.I explained the layout above and don't feel like repeating it, so just know that yeah, it's a long level. It takes a while to complete. Muffin has to go through the whole thing, and then turn around and go back again. Are you sure you're not just being impatient and giving up too soon? Or, I don't know, accidentally putting one if inside another?I really don't feel like recording this. It'd just be a recording of me doing the same damn thing I already described. Write the code again and let it run, for as long as it wants. Mash that control key if you're being impatient, or go get yourself a snack in the meantime. It. Will. Work.

Muffin goes around the whole square, then goes into a square inside it, then into a square inside of that, and so on, until they reach a button in the very middle. After that, they have to turn around and go around each square again, first the tiny ones, then the big ones, until they reach the exit, which is one tile left of the starting point. Is it logical for air shafts to work like that? No, probably not. But ... it's a game.Here's the same thing as is written in the document, except I wrote it as just words, without curly brackets. Maybe you'll understand it better this way?While there's no wall ahead:Go forward (Muffin obviously has to keep moving),if there's no wall right, turn right (in the first half of the level, when Muffin is going towards the button, there's always an opening to the right when there's a wall ahead),if there's no wall left, turn left (in the second half of the level, after Muffin has pressed the button and is going back the way they came, there's always an opening to the left when there's a wall ahead),if there's a button, press it, then turn to the same side twice (the button is in the middle of the square, with only one way to get to it, so Muffin has to turn around twice to no longer be facing a wall).If this doesn't work, I give up.

@Robokop [sigh], you don't have to actually type the brackets. The brackets are there to tell you where a loop begins and ends. The while loop is the outside one, and all the if conditions are inside of it, but there's no loop inside another if loop, like there was, say, in the If 3 tutorial.Like I said before, I'm open to suggestions to how it could be made better. But this is how you're supposed to write code like that ... I think. I don't know all that much about code. What else could I do to make it more readable? I guess I could use signs like underscores instead of spaces to note that a loop is inside another one, but I imagine that would be confusing for many people.Please note that that Muffin level isn't completely mandatory, you technically could progress without it.

@RobokopWhat exactly is tricky for you? From a quick look at it, the solution seems to be written correctly to me. Each bracket is on its own line, and there's spaces before inside brackets, so that each inside bracket is one space to the right. How else would you suggest I make it more readable?And wait, you actually carefully wrote down all those zeros and ones? That's ... beautiful! If it wasn't obvious from the over the top description of that code, it's a prank. If you'd used a site(like this one) to convert that binary code into text, you'd get the following result:HECK EVERYTHING!A pretty nice combination of check everything and hack everything, don't you think? Those two tips do indeed help you complete all of Code 7's puzzles.Now that I think about it, though, it isn't really all that funny. I think I'll just delete that document. Once Helper tells you your computer doesn't have enough processing power and the two dialog options appear, you should be able to just press 1 or 2 to progress.You did try closing the game and continuing it again, yes? I know, seems obvious, but gotta ask.Could you write down some specifications of your computer? Also, what platform did you buy the game on? If it wasn't Steam, do you have the newest version (last update was somewhere in January)?Could you try uploading your save file? The choices you made and the percentages of people that took them are read at the end of each episode. You can also check them later, by choosing the continue option and the save slot, but then not immediately pressing enter to continue the episode you're on. Instead, just press left arrow to navigate to the previous episodes, and enter to check your decisions for them again.

There are also several tutorials which introduce each new function to you, and can be accessed at any time.Know some basics about while loops and if statements? If so, then you're good to go. And if not, they will be explained.

I mean hell, the issue you had in post 599 was resolved so fast nobody even had a chance to reply first. Next time you're supposedly stuck somewhere, could you please make sure you truly are stuck, and not just finding a puzzle exactly as hard as it's intended to be? If you could complete While 1, While 2 really shouldn't be giving you so much trouble. The solution is almost the same.Look at the map, and try to think what steps you would take to get from the start to the exit. If it helps, open a document and write down how the code would look if you had to write it the long way, without using while loops. That way, you should be able to notice that there's commands that always repeat. Then put those commands into the while loop, with a condition that's always true (most of the time, that's No Wall Ahead).

The second Muffin tutorial is Simple Movement 2 ...I assume you mean one of the While tutorials? If so, which one? I really recommend you try to figure this out on your own, though. It's a tutorial, meant to prepare you for the rest of the game. It's quite important that you actually understand it.But anyway, in all of them, you first set up a while loop, and then any go forward and turn left/right commands inside it. So if I understand you correctly and you're putting in one go forward before making a while loop, that's wrong. There are cases when you'll have to put in commands after the while loop, but never before it.

@hanif, there are two power supplies (the solar panel and another one) that you need to connect to the generator. You do this by pressing I think shift+enter on each energy pole to turn it on. After they're all enabled, you can start turning the solar panel.So, just enable everything. That's usually how puzzles are solved in this game, so make sure to check everything before you ask next time.
