hey there guys.For those of you that are having issues with NVDA not reading anything when it should, try to remove the folder %tmp%\gen_py if it does exist. That should fix the problem.About the new weapon, be patient with that. I have done some efforts to add more balance to the game and this is the first weapon that was made according to formal stats. Reload times, shooting stuff and a few other things are based in numbers and maths. Though the price for next versions will be decreased a lot to 500 points. But for now as these weapons are new they will cost a little more.Indeed in the locales folder there are files that people can open with poedit. Though those should be considered just remains of the exe generation and not as something you can work with.

hey guys, wanted to talk about some points here before going to have a little break for my own mental health hahah.1. There is a new update available due to a bug detected and fixed where a player could make all others stuck in a game and noone near them would be able to keep playing. This should be already fixed and now that should be working normally.2. Am researching the screen readers not reading issue. Cannot promise a date for this fix but surely it will be addressed.3. If you want to reset your password, for now, until I finish the undead's website, send me a message via here and give me your username, your email associated with that, and the new pw you want.4. I will think about your suggestions, even in the offline variant, though I disagree it should be done due to being a little boring to play offline. But will think about that anyway.5. Adding AI allies would be rather difficult, though I also will take a look to it.

Hi,@Meatbag this version is fully compatible with 32 bits systems (the old one was too, though this message was caused due to something else) but you should be able to run it just fine.By the way, guys, the server located in spain is already updated.

Hey there, everyone! Today after some days of delay I am ready and pleased to announce that a new version of Undead Assault has been released. This version should have fixed many of the previously reported bugs by users during the last release, and also includes some new additions that will be used in the future to make the gameplay better, hopefully. For the current moment, all servers (except spain, which will be updated during the day) are already updated to be compatible with the current release, and you can start enjoying the game. It is suggested to read the documentation and explore some of the new changes in the map, though. Cause more stuff will be built upon the new changes in that map. You can download the game from the official website  right here And also, you can see the list of changes below:NewsUndead Assault now comes in an installer package for those users who want to install a copy of the game. Portable versions are still distributed.The documentation for Undead Assault has been rewritten and added to the documentation folder, located in the game installation directory or in the folder where the game has been unzipped.There is a new sound for doors, which will indicate every location where you can enter a different section on the map.Joystick related settings will be displayed in the settings menu only if a gamepad was connected before the game starts.Added a setting to choose whether to play the logo sound at startup or not.Added an option in the settings menu to change between 5 different main menu themes.New sections added to the current map. Use the locations menu to see where the doors areand open them to explore everything. More stuff will be added later on the new sections so you might want to know them for the future.Added windows from where zombies will be spawned. Windows are basically everywhere in the current map and have a sound to indicate their location.there is a new weapon, the olimpia. Take a look at it in the locations menu. This weapon will cost 2000 points.Volume groups introduced: This allows you to change individually volume for several sound groups such as zombie sounds, player sounds, weapons, music and game environment. Press F5 and F6 to navigate through sound groups, and F7/F8 to modify the volume for the selected group. In order to use this feature, you must already be in the safe zone or in a map.BugfixesNow, Windows users without Visual C++ redistributables installed in their system will be allowed to open the game. Take into account, though, that windows 7 requires the service pack 1 upgrade.Fixed an error that made Undead Assault freeze when attempting to paste something from the clipboard. It is possible to paste text from the clipboard when using in-game chats. Hi guys,This is my opinion about this matter (mac and making games for this system in python). The only thing It could be a bit difficult to code in a mac using python is that you have to sort the following things:Input: If you use only pygame you will be able to type only english characters. Don't know why, but I think pygame isn't very good for chats as You have to manage all keypresses separately. And SDL 1.x (the version pygame uses) isn't very good for some keyboard functions. I have read that SDL2 adds a new input event type, but if you want to code a game in Python, using pygame, You will have to use a third party module for text input. In windows there is EasyDialogs, but there are no an equivalent in mac (a working one, I mean, the EasyDialogs for mac doesn't work in Cocoa interfaces).Sound: There's a strange bug in the sound_lib package that causes it doesn't work in Unix environments (this means only windows works). I thin

Well, to be honest I didn't worked too much with pygame for text input and sound. About the mixer module I think It isn't good because there are some weaknesses that you would fix if you really want to use it for making realtime audiogames (stereo panning, in pygame you have to set the left and right channel's volume and when I tried to do something faster It doesn't seems to work properly, environmental effects, low latency, etc.). The Only think I don't like about getting keypresses  throught pygame is that you will have to implement your own screenreader for the chat text input, I mean you have to do the running screen reader to speak whenever someone presses a key. Then you will have to handle when someone deletes a letter, presses left/right keys, presses tab, f1 or other unhandled keys, presses ctrl+home/end, etc. I think It's a better idea to display a native dialogue where the accessibility is implemented already, and you can use Ctypes f
 or this purpose.

Btw, I'm working in the Spanish translation for this game right now.@Haramir Yes, I think I'll decrease the sound's volume, or allow users to change it by themselves (I'll add a settings menu later). About the story I no have any ideas yet. I thought I could create different levels, for example one level for each country and Add some objects to pick up and use in the game, but I can't think in a storyline for this purpose.

Hello Fabi, Thanks for posting the game in tiflojuegos! I think I will move the zip file to my personal webpage when it becomes more stable. Though the game has autoupdate capabilities, so when new versions are available you just need to press under check for updates to get the newest version. The game will download and install the needed files.

Hi,@mojsior you're very welcome, and about how weapons works has an explanation. It's due to the stereo panning -that is different to the minimun range for weapons. You could attack an enemy with a knife or grenade when he is at 10 steps close to you, but you begin to hear him when he is at 20 steps. As @OmarAlvarado has suggested, I will reduce the stereo panning range in the next update.

Hi everyone,This is my first audiogame project. I worked in a rebuild from town of peril, created by Guilevi. If you've played that game once, probably you could play it with no problems. If not, I included a readme in both English and spanish for new players (In the doc directory). Take into account that it is not the same game with improvements. It has been written in a different programming language and it's in a beta stage, so probably there are some different things with the Guilevi's town of peril. I would like to add more features to the game, a story mode, so if you have ideas, bug reports, suggestions and any feebback, I would like to hear it.Download Town of peril
