Re: Dreamland-official version
Dear all,Here follows a summary of how I have been able to play this game with translations. I recall that the ideal would probably be to get LocaleEmulator working and have proper chinese characters printed by the game. Unfortunately, LocaleEmulator cause the game to hang on the "checking updates" phase for many configuration, including mine. With proper Chinese character encoding, we would simply have to use the NVDA Translate module, which would have translated the Chinese text in realtime, as it is displayed. For the recall, here follows the link to the NVDA Translate module, which I use for nearly all games,. For those who don't know this module, it translate all the spoken text in realtime, without the need to press any particular key each time we want to translate. To deactivate/activate this instant translation, press NVDA+CONTROL+SHIFT+T. So here follows the link for those who want to try this :https://github.com/yplassiard/nvda-tran … nvda-addonBack to DreamLand. You will need the following:1. The game for PC:https://yadi.sk/d/CQo0Ew1BgM09Ew2. ClipReader :https://github.com/tanatospl/ClipReader … Reader.zip3. QTranslate :https://drive.google.com/uc?export=down … L4nypiGCaS4. The NVDA Translate module, discussed above, for the English part and if English is not your native language. Here the steps I have followed:1. Install the NVDA Translate module. 2. If you have the NVDA Global Command Extension plugin installed, you will have to deactivate the announcement of clipboard commands. On my computer, this interfers with the Control+C shortcut we need to copy the game text to the clipboard. To do this, heads up to the NVDA menu (NVDA+N), then "Preferences" submenu, then "NVDA global commands extension add-on" submenu, and choose "Options". Tab until you ear "Clipboard command announcement" and choose "Do not install". 3. Install QTranslate. When you run it, it goes in the notification tray icons. You have to configure a shortcut to translate the contents of the clipboard. Go in the Options, then in Hotkeys, verify that "Enable hotkeys" is checked. Then, in the list of assignable functions that follows, look for "Translate clipboard content". Double-click on this item, and set up a hotkey, I have assigned Control+Shift+C. Be sure QTranslate is launched before you run the game. 4. ClipReader arrives as a .zip file. Extract the content of this .zip file where you like on your hard disk, and run it. ClipReader also goes in the tray icons accessible with NVDA+F11. There is only one option, which is the speech rate. Configure it to your taste. Be sure ClipReader i slaunched before running the game. 5. Run the game. You can skip the two intro sequences by pressing the up arrow. The game should be in English by defaut. If not, you can switch to english by going to the latest option, at the right end of the menu. 6. Be sure the game speaks through NVDA by pressing ALT+Y and checking NVDA is checked. 7. You can optionally activate NVDA Translate (NVDA+CONTROL+SHIFT+T) if you need to translate the English part of the game. 8. If you fall on a Chinese text - you will notice it as it appears as strange characters - press CONTROL+C. Then wait a second, and press your QTranslate shortcut (CONTROL+SHIFT+C for instance). The translated text should be spoken via SAPI. Hope that helps,
